He said that it would be OK. The reason that I wanted the nearest my teeth were beautiful. I just wanted them bigger and wider so that's why I decided to go with the nurse so as he proceeded, got them ready I was very excited. Couldn't wait when it was time for me to go back and get them put on. He just laid them on top before he put them permanently on and gave me a mirror and I just started crying and I couldn't believe it. They were a little tiny little Chiclets. It looks so bad I was devastated and at the time his wife had her veneers and she had real tiny ones as well but I didn't say anything maybe that's what she wanted but anyways, I said no this is not what they were supposed to be. I brought a picture to him and that's how they were supposed to look so he said don't worry I can fix it. I can fix it well I ended up going back and he ended up doing what he had to do and they did look good. They were what I wanted. But I had a concern. I asked him about my original teeth. He had explained to me that in the beginning how he does it and that he had to file my original ones down just very little to get the veneers to stay in place forever, and I said to him since they were filed to fit what you put on in the beginning, which were very small is it gonna cause a problem for me later on as I go years go on will they fall off and he said no he guaranteed me they would be fine as long as I got them in my check ups and my cleanings and stuff which I did. I went to Dr. Harvey for my cleanings for a few years and then I moved to California and then about six years went by my front one fell off. I had to go put it get it put on from that on. They just started falling off. I had them glued on now we're 20 years later. Every tooth that he filed which was 18 of them they're all gone my original tooth and the veneers they just fell out. I have no teeth because of him I tried I went to him and asked him to please do the right thing please fix my teeth. I still have so many years of life and I feel at times i don't even want to live. I look awful and what does he do he pushed me away. He said no he wasn't responsible. We have seen him a couple times at Costco and I didn't say anything. He looked at me like i did something wrong to him and he would take off real quick why would he act like this ? we did see him again at Trader Joe's and at that time my husband had the chance to say to him look what you've done to my wife He says to him she wears a mask wherever she goes and she does not want to leave our home ....Dr Hamidi says No i did nothing wrong its not my fault at all he said he cant afford to do it free he said he would call the police if we didn't leave him alone that we where following him which that was 100% not what we were doing. He's pathetic.and he knows he is responsible 100 percent...I feel like my life is over. I went to a few places it was going to be $60,000. And other was $55.000 we don't have that kind of Money or credit we can do $15.000 not $60.000 or $55.000 Thanks to Dr Hamidi I have been in my home I do not go with my husband to visit family back east I don't want to be seen at all and its so wrong why would he do this ? Where do I begin…read more... Everyone HATES the dentist. And if you say you don't, you're lying. Let's start with the front ladies, the head honcho's, Angela and her team. They're the smiles and faces of Dr. Brei's office. The ladies work with your busy schedule, throw you on a cancellation list to get you in sooner, are fashionable, friendly, and funny! The staff- I'm talking assistants, hygienists, technicians, anyone who is in scrubs is the real deal. I could have three people's hands in my mouth (I know, sounds gross) and be thinking, "Why in the world would they want to do this for a living?" yet, they couldn't be happier and will literally talk about how much they love what they do. I can't chime in so I just nod and say, "Good" Dr. Brei makes going to the dentist feel normal. My 2022 goal is to put me first, which means- I have to face the truth ... I've been putting me OFF which definitely includes the dentist. I could dread the dentist but because of Brei and is his team, I feel as good as one can in the dentist chair. 10 out of 10, you need a dentist- I highly recommend. I went through the excruciating process (they have old equipment) only to be told the tooth I wanted the filling replaced was not as important as other work and they refused to do it. So, I left with a hole in my tooth. 7 months later I received a bill for $248. I called. Thy said insurance wouldn't pay. I explained they told me it was covered 7 months ago and what they put me through forcing me to get all the X-rays that I didn't even need. I was told they would take care of it. Forward another month and I received yet another bill. Again, for initial X-rays that were not needed, but covered by insurance. Now I'm being told insurance won't pay because I maxed my benefits elsewhere. I didn't use the benefits until several months later when I had an emergency. So, this dentists negligence on timely billing, on top of everything else, is being placed on me. I'm discussing it on a Facebook forum and have heard some things about this office. If you've been wronged by this dentist join us on facebook. Currently I am filing with BBB and consumer protection. Based on the dates, there is no excuse. I called and the receptionist was SO sweet and got me right in (even though there can be a wait to see him- his practice is very popular!). First off, his office is amazing- beautifully landscaped, water falls, greenery, etc. On the inside? It's apparent that Dr. Citrin loves basketball, especially U of A, but he's a fan of other teams as well. I can't comment much on the waiting room because I've never really waited in there- they're that prompt! Each exam room has a big picture window that you get to look out (when you're not tilted back being worked on). I've seen TONS of wildlife outside of those windows and it's very relaxing (for the nervous types like me!). Their equipment is also state of the art, including digital x-rays! They show up instantly on the computer screen in the room and there's no development wait time. Fancy! Their hygienist is great, very friendly, and gentle. Dr. Citrin (sometimes people call him Dr. Jay) is SO NICE. He's funny, personable, and always has time to chat about bball or golf, or his kids. He takes the time to get to know you as a person, not just a chart and a patient number. Okay folks, time to come clean. I've had a cavity or two and have had them filled by Dr. Jay. Part II- I'm SUCH a wuss when it comes to dental work. When he had to numb me up, I cried and he gave me tissues (I've seriously had other dentists tell me to "suck it up"). He's very sensitive and pays attention to the patients' comfort level in addition to doing a great job with the dental work. At the end of each exam, you are given a toothbrush (and it's a nice one too, not just a one-use travel type) that says "Dr. Jay Loves Me!", a travel tube of toothpaste and some floss. Seriously, people. I get WAY excited about that toothbrush. I highly recommend him- I can't say enough good things about the practice he has established in the Old Pueblo.

I chose to leave rather than be pressured into a procedure I did not want. I left feeling dismissed and believing the office was more focused on rigid policies than on understanding the reasonable concerns and wishes of an individual patient. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Dr. Don at Ocotillo Dental. I intend to file a complaint with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners so that my concerns can be reviewed.
