I've never experienced the amount of prep for cleanliness before a dentist appointment before. Temp taken (not surprised), wash hands (sure), wash face (umm?), brush teeth (again?), gargle with peroxide water (eww), then fill out this survey. Needless to say, this dentist office is doing their part to keep everyone safe. An interesting experience, but a necessary one to say the least! Wash your hands!! And apparently your face too! The staff are all wonderful and kind. The Dr. is kind and will explain all options to you. It makes a potential unpleasant experience a pleasant one. Thank you for working to hard to keep us safe!!!!

The pain started a couple of days later. The staff was helpful and available for me more than I could have imagined. And, they stuck with me until I was healed. I had appointment for tooth extraction without sedation on 6/12/26. I had undergone 2 root canal (RC) treatments on the tooth with pain remaining after 2 months. My endodontist said I would need to have a 3rd RC (no guarantee of success) or get the tooth extracted (guaranteed success). I chose to have the tooth extracted and thus the appointment at Casas. I had a referral and also verbally explained to Dr. Prokes what I described above. She seemed confused and left the room to call my endodontist. She came back and said I didn't need any more RC treatments nor a tooth extraction. I was confused but of course happy to hear that, and subsequently left. Turns out Dr. Prokes did not speak to my endodontist, but to customer service who was uninformed. A week or so later, after my last antibiotic cycle had ended, the pain came raging back, and I found out that the tooth next to the originally infected tooth was now also infected. So I have to make the decision to extract them or more RC treatments on both teeth. Part of that decision is the cost of each option. I decided if I extracted the teeth, I wanted to have sedation. Casas said I had to come in again to discuss sedation with Dr. Prokes to get the cost, which I can't get. (My insurance requires provider to submit pre-estimate request to get quote, which takes minutes at most). I made an appointment for July 8, and was told I needed to get referral for the 2nd tooth before then. My dentist told me by email that he had submitted it to Casas on July 1, but Casas on July 3 still hadn't received it. Both my dentist and endodontist are out of the office this week due to the holiday, so I can't get another referral until Monday (my appointment is Wed.). To help with Dr. Prokes' confusion, I wrote a detailed history on all treatment, etc. associated with the 1st tooth and the diagnosis of the 2nd tooth. I explained I wasn't sure yet whether to extract 1, 2 or none of the teeth, but needed the cost info to decide. I got a call from Casas the next day on 7/3 saying Dr. Prokes said to cancel my appointment because I didn't have both referrals. Again I could get the 2nd one on Monday. Also, she wanted to talk to my dentist to make sure I needed the tooth/teeth extractions. This suggests I'm some kind of kook who wants teeth pulled out that don't need to be extracted. Note I have all of my teeth and am 61 years old. From Casas' website, it looks like there are at least 5 other oral surgeons at Casas. None of the others have had timely appointments open in 1 or 2 weeks....only Dr. Prokes has availability. Now I know why.....apparently nobody recommends her to others. I suggest you don't see Dr. Prokes, who doesn't seem to comprehend the English language nor care about her patients. I thinks it's likely that if Prokes had extracted the initial tooth when I went there for that purpose, the infection might not have spread into the 2nd tooth, costing me significant extra costs and substantial pain. How cruel that because of Prokes, I have to start over with RFQ with another facility, as I certainly won't ever go back to Casas. How hard would it have been to just give me a quotation for sedation, especially since I had already been to the facility? Certainly no harm would come of this. No treatment or tooth extraction was going to be performed on 7/8.....just discussion of sedation (and I've had sedation several times in my life) and finally telling me how much it would cost. I understand needing the referral, which I could have had re-sent on 7/6, and certainly well before any tooth extractions would be performed. It's just hard to fathom these stupid rules, and the incompetence and lack of empathy of Dr. Prokes.

It first started with an overcharge for an evaluation. The moment insurance caught wind, the account had a credit. Secondly, my husband received multiple calls and texts to "confirm" his appearance at the appointment. These all requested for us to arrive "early" for the scheduled and confirmed appointment. We show up on-time for the appointment, check in with front desk. They accept payment and tell him to sit. Actual appointment time comes and goes.. it's is now 45 minutes AFTER scheduled appt. Ask how much longer & then inform it will be another 15-20 minutes!!! Understand they did not called back for the treatment until a HOUR after the scheduled appointment. No one said at any point that the staff was running so far behind. When we checked a simple "treatment time is running xx amount of time behind" would have easily gone from 0 stars to atleast 2-3.. just based off communication!!! I am recommending that our regular dentist avoid referring any patients to this location. They incorrectly overcharge for treatment and then make you wait for ridiculous amount of time before treatment. They shouldn't request early arrival if they can't hold up their end of the bargain and begin work promptly for a scheduled appointment. Disappointing service especially when staff was pleasant.

I asked if this biopsy would be anything like a different biopsy I had in the past, he ignored me and asked if I had "diabetes or something". I never got answers and I can't imagine trusting someone like that with a procedue involving full anesthesia. Poor communication... After calling twice to make sure the insurance had gone through and the account was paid up, I was reassured I had no balance. Until I received a text notice months later about an overdue balance. I received no calls, no emails, nothing at all to indicate that I had a balance. When I called about this, they informed me that they had known about it for over a month, but that I now have 30 days to pay it. I won't ever be going back.

The doctor…read morehad it out in under 10 minutes, no pain during the shots (just a minor pinch), and I'm healing well. Honestly, the skill level deserves a solid 5/5. That tooth didn't stand a chance. Special shoutout to Lambert (hope I got the name right)--he was the MVP of the visit. Super friendly, warm, and genuinely tried to make me feel comfortable. He brought a human touch to an otherwise clinical environment. Now, the front desk staff... polite, professional, but not particularly warm. I wasn't expecting a parade or confetti, but a little more energy or engagement would've gone a long way. I'd describe the vibe as "bologna sandwich with no condiments"--gets the job done, but not memorable. During the procedure, Lambert suddenly disappeared and a new assistant popped up with the suction tool. No intro, no "hi"--just started doing her thing. Not unfriendly, but the lack of acknowledgment was a little off-putting. She was nice enough when I left, though. The doctor (Dr.Taylor?) was efficient and clearly good at what he does--but his demeanor left something to be desired. He seemed visibly irritated when I initially flinched at the first shot. Pro tip: saying "time to get you numbed up" isn't the same as explaining what you're about to do. After that brief hiccup, everything went smoothly, but I wasn't really in the mood to make small talk after that. Biggest frustration? No clear aftercare guidance. I asked a question and was told to "check the paper." The sheet seemed generic--talked about stitches I didn't have and said I could eat anything once the numbness wore off. Thankfully, I had my own backup support (my AI chatbot) who walked me through it all. I had a 3 PM appointment and left around 4:30, which I expected due to wait times. No big deal. Overall: excellent technical care, a couple standout people (Lambert!), and some room for improvement in the communication and patient interaction department. If they ever train everyone to have Lambert's energy, it'll be a 5-star experience all around.

I Yelped wisdom teeth and this was the first place that popped up, so I gave them a call and got my appointment set up with them. I met with Dr. Klemmedson, who was very no-nonsense, but definitely tried to make me feel more at ease. He took a look in my mouth and said I had something called Perry Coronitis, which is when the gums don't stick to the wisdom teeth so all kinds of nasty stuff can get in there. It may have explained why I had tonsilitis twice this year and never had it before a day in my life. He showed me my x-ray, which was fascinating, and tried to show me where the injections would go based on where my cavities had been. I told him I never had anesthesia for cavities because I can't stand needles. He offered to put me under instead. On the day of the surgery, I was really scared. I had never had surgery of any kind, and the only thing that I could calm myself down with was to keep saying, "He does this all the time. I trust doctors. Many people in my family are medical professionals. This will be fine." The staff there did everything they could to make me feel at ease also. They tried to give me the medicine to put me under, but I was so scared that my blood pressure kept spiking. Finally I went under and, like no time had passed, I was awake and telling the tech that was putting vasaline on my face that she was "delightful". (I got to wake up to a woman with pink scrubs and a huge smile.) I was discharged with my boyfriend, who they followed up with to make sure I was ok. I went in for follow up, and Dr. Klemmedson told me that apparently I talked the entire time. I guess I could not shut up, and kept asking "are we done? Are we done?" He put gauze with clove oil into the cavities to help with my dry sockets and took them out the next day. I absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of oral surgery. Had he joked around with me and then told me I would be fine, it would make me way more nervous. He was kind, informative, helpful, professional. The staff was friendly and put my nerves to rest. I will absolutely be back for anything else I may ever need.
