I have to say I really did love the services he provided but after the job was done, I realized that he had cut my pool light boxes and put them under the pavers stone and by doing this, it restricted my access to be able to change or access the lights and they are not supposed to be under the ground, with a pool they are supposed to be above ground. I did not know this when Francisco was doing the work, but learn this afterwards when I questioned his work. He knew and was advised that this would be the case while doing the work, but decided not to tell me and still moved forward with the work... as a result, I threatened to contact my lawyer and we met and I compromised to pay for additional materials while also needing to replace my two lights... basically areas of my paver stone needed to be re-done, dug up, I had to pay for the additional materials to fix the issue, and then he completed the work and covered the labor. I'm not happy at all... Not only did I have to pay extra, but when he left, there was a mess, he did not seal my pavers stone and there are a few stones that are not level as a result of him taking out the stone and putting it back in. Also, he used the extra stones I asked to keep instead of using the ones he took with him. I would NOT use Francisco again and advise to make sure you check to know what pipes and things like that he is cutting or moving because he does not know pools. read more

I wanted to replant a flower garden area in my courtyard but found the area root bound and impossible to dig in. I called Francisco and he offered to help me out after the next rain storm. We scheduled the work for the following Saturday . He called the day before to confirm and the following morning his brother showed up right on time. Francisco and his hard-working crew are fabulous! We were in dire need of an entirely new, yard drainage system. The old drains were clogged with roots and were badly cracked, causing flooding in our yard each time it rained or when the sprinklers were on. Francisco came to our rescue! He thoroughly inspected our yard on a Friday and was ready to take action the following Monday. After almost two weeks of diligent, HARD work, Francisco and his team replaced our entire drainage system (which included the removal and replacement of cement, which he and his team handled), installed an entirely new group of drains, replaced damaged sprinkler lines and heads and then finished up the job by replacing the trenches and root-laden yard with all new sod and bend-a-board planter trim. It is really not easy nowadays to be able to find and hire good and dependable contractors of any type. After two duds and numerous calls to other tree service companies, I had the good fortune of finding FNL Tree Services, Inc., which, in hindsight of course, should have been my first call. Francisco, one of the owners, called me back within half an hour (!) of my initial voicemail being left. Then he showed up at the house - quite a distance away - within an hour and a half (!) of the initial discussion over the phone. He then proceeded to walk the property in order to assess the situation in person, and then gave me a quote which I considered very reasonable. Then, right there, he scheduled the work for the following week. This is actually rather amazing in and of itself considering that in this "post" Covid world, several outfits could not even get to the job for up to ...seven months! The crew, with Francisco's brother Javier in the lead, showed up on the appointed day, and were superb. They trimmed and pruned four trees to perfection. One of which was a Cherry tree of about 18 feet in height, and two Conifers at about 23 feet in height. Lastly, in a lovely and detail-oriented way, they trimmed a so-called New Zealand Christmas tree at the sidewalk. The crew also cleaned up the property/jobsite meticulously, making sure to clean up on the neighbors' side of the block wall, too. The other thing that impressed me and put me at ease, was how they heeded my concerns throughout the process in reference to a number of issues related to how much and where to prune and trim; both in regards to the look and beauty of the "hair cut" as well as in regards to maintaining a much needed privacy screen afforded by the foliage. I would not hesitate to highly recommend the owners, Francisco, Javier, and the entire team of FNL Tree Services. I had 2 trees that needed thinning and FNL Landscaping was among several that I sent quote requests to through YELP. Francisco was the first to get back to me (the same day as my request) with a quote after sending him pictures. I am amazed at the very wide range of quotes there are from the different companies. They are several hundred dollars apart for a relatively small job. Francisco's quote was not just the lowest and most reasonable, but he was the most efficient in getting back to me and setting up a time to schedule the job. Wow, these guys were great! Francisco came out same day to quote me on trimming 22 different trees in my yard. He'd had a cancellation and was able to schedule the job for the next day at a really good price. He and his guys got started early and finished by late afternoon. They trimmed the trees just how I asked them to and cleaned everything up before they left. They use a big chipper truck so they're able to mulch everything on the spot. We had recently bought our first home and kept their existing gardener. It is with no reserve my recomending Fransisco Lopez of FNL landscaping. From the day I hired Fransisco to maintain my 2/3 acre property 2 years ago until I sold, last week. Fransisco and his team have trimmed all trees. Trimming the 45' ficus, various pine trees, 20 year old giant bird of paradise, 30 year old yucca and the cactus garden of century plants and the eucalyptus and fern shade relief. The company maintained the walkways that cris-cross the grounds that harbor the various garden perennials and annuals. The cutting garden was maintained and fertilized on schedule. They planted sod and kept fresh bark throughout the property at all times. FNL reworked my sprinkler system so it reached all corners of the property paying special attention to the newly planted lawn. When FNL created the various garden borders and buyouts, they suggested only the best products giving options based upon budget. The front yard harbored 60 rose bushes which were furtilized and maintained annually and framed by Melaleuca trees, which were laced when trimmed, not cut off at the top to just hang. I had overgrown evergreen approximately 12/14 ft high and 6 ft wide that was now blocking entrance to a side gate. It was 60 yrs old plus. There was pipe break in my sprinkler system and water was coming up from the grass and spreading gravel all over the side walk. I contacted Francisco on Friday evening and he was able to come out the next day and get me an estimate and assessment of the situation.
