We loved this brewery! They specialize in IPAs and Ciders. We tried four different IPAs and got a jerk chicken sandwich on the side. The IPAs were great and they had some interesting flavors. The jerk chicken sandwich wasn't very flavorful, but to be fair she did warn us of this when we ordered. COVID - They had reservations booked for the entire weekend on resy. Not many people who walked up were able to get a table. We set a notification on the resy app for if a table opened up from a cancellation and were able to get a table that way. read more

Foam Brewers is adjacent to Waterfront Park so my boyfriend and I stopped in prior to the music festival we were attending. I ordered a fruity sour beer and my boyfriend got a hazy IPA - these are both typical of the beers we usually order so that was great. Both were well balanced and super flavorful. We ended up out back at a picnic table which has a nice mural, making a great photo op. They also have a large patio out front which was completely full when we stopped by. There was a DJ spinning some tunes inside which made it pretty loud in the taproom but gave a fun vibe. They have some limited food offerings (charcuterie and cheese) but we didn't try any of that. Overall I really enjoyed the beer and atmosphere at Foam. I did have a weird issue with the restroom, though. The one I used had instructions posted outside. It is a gender neutral, one person restroom. Meaning you go in by yourself and lock the whole door, then can use a stall or a urinal. When I went in, there was a girl inside at the sink which I didn't think about, since typically this would make sense for a women's restroom. However, this meant we ended up in the bathroom with someone who came in and was also using the urinal at the same time we were in there (since I didn't want to lock the girl in the bathroom with me). It was pretty awkward and I could see this happening quite a bit especially if you didn't happen to see the sign. This may seem like a silly thing to write about in a Yelp review, but it made me feel awkward so I wanted to warn others to be aware about the restroom situation! read more

Best beer in Vermont. Awesome location within a minute walk from Lake Champlain. Been drinking their beer over the past year and excited that they finally started to can. Every beer I have had from them has been money. Their new sour program also seems to have promise. Limited food menu but the cheese plate I sampled was fantastic. Highly recommend. Inside of the bar has limited seating space so get their early, it was packed the Saturday night I was there. It was so busy that they were filled to capacity. There is a nice porch where you can sit outside during the good weather. Staff is extremely helpful, let you sample beer and are extremely efficient taking care of customers. My tender for most of night, Andrew, was awesome. Must stop in the Burlington area. read more

What a great Brewery! A bit hard to find but worth it! It's off the shore of Lake Champlain. We went in the winter, but the outdoor area looks great for the summer. The interior is beautiful. Well decorated with lots of high tops and bar space to sit at. The service was fantastic. Friendly and helpful with the beers. The beers were fantastic. I ordered one of their new IPAs which was perfect. Nice balance of hops, but not overwhelming. Then I ordered their sour and stuck with that the rest of the time. It was fantastic. My only complaint is that they didn't have it available to take home! We also ordered a cheese plate which was delicious. Good prices, great vibes, great service, great beers. I'd been wanting to visit Foam for a long time and I'm happy I finally got the opportunity while my girlfriend and I were in Burlington. Stopped by on a Saturday midday. Weather was beautiful, so the outdoor patio was almost full, but we luckily got two hightop seats. Drinks are served both indoor and outdoor, but be aware that the menus are different! It looked like the online draft menu reflected only the indoor menu. There were additional options outside but they also did not have beers that were available inside, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth looking at both. We went with the Experimental Jet Setter IPA, The Shining DIPA, and Pavement IPA. All were great. Bartender was really nice when told him this was our first visit and we asked if we could try some before committing. Great beers, nice indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff. Looks like they have some good food/snack options but we didn't get any. Only wish they had flights or at least flight-sized pours, but otherwise no complaints! read more

I really and truly enjoyed this brewery. For starters it is located in a beautiful spot of Burlington, very close to a waterfront park. The brewery itself was gorgeous, with tons of funky aesthetic charm to look at and enjoy while you savor your beer. There was plenty of parking in front of the brewery on the day that I went, which is always something I appreciate. There is also a very nice outdoor patio area with chairs and tables. The weather when I visited was still nice and warm so I made sure to enjoy the outdoor area. I ended up having two full pours after I tried two tasters and the beers I had were wonderful. I truly wish I could have brought cans home of the beers I drank but they were not being offered that day, sign so I guess I have a perfect excuse to visit again lol. In addition to beer they also offer charcuterie trays with local meats, cheeses, and bread. It was such a perfect item to snack on while enjoying their fabulous beers. I'm currently planning my return back so that I can try more of their offerings. read more

During my most recent (and first) trip up to Vermont, Foam was our last stop after an exciting but long driving day between breweries. Foam was the perfect conclusion! I was a little sad that the beers on their website didn't represent the beers they actually had on tap (other breweries have truly up-to-date lists), but I was not disappointed at all with their IPAs. Their IPAs are on point. My favorite was Joy Division, but I also loved Levitate Me and the juicy Peel Session. There are definitely waves of people standing in line for growlers. We happened to catch it at a good point, but they also seem very efficient and quick at filling growlers and glasses in the same line. The local vibe was really chill. There were lots of small groups gathering around the communal tables. Overall, the crowd was on the 40+ side overall, but I think we were also here before school had gotten back from winter break. I loved the jazz they were playing. There was a small table to the side selling meat pies, which were a great snack with beer. They were a little pricey for the size, in my opinion, but they were there for me at the right time. This is definitely a critical place to stop if you're serious about beer. read more

Came here on recommendation of a bartender at a nearby bar. The patio outside is nice, and the decor/setup inside is cool too; however, it honestly smelled like feet when we walked in. Their beer selection is almost exclusively IPAs, with a sour, a lager, a red ale (which was basically another sour), and a seltzer. Probably a great place to go if you love IPAs, but not a lot of selection otherwise. I've been to too many breweries to count, and a lot of the times, the beer is a little better than a standard home brew. Vermont, in particular, has a strong craft beer game, and I see Foam as a strong player in that game. It's a little peculiar that I hadn't heard about this place by reputation, and just stumbled on it while visiting Burlington - because the beer is excellent. They nail it. And the staff is cool, they have a nice setup, and the food looks (although I haven't eaten it) good. We always come to Burlington and partially because Foam Brewers is there and their beer is delicious! We paid them a visit on our first day in Burlington and grabbed a couple different 8 oz pours to share and a large charcuterie slate. I have to pay respect to the younger gentleman who assembled the charcuterie as we watched him and he was very through and detailed as to the placement of everything on the board. It looked great and it was quite tasty to say the least. The beer is always great and the selection of beer cans available to go was great as well! read more

My husband LOVED the beer here! I had a cold pressed coffee which was also totally amazing. I think the brewery just opened in 2016. The interior scene is superbly decorated and they were working on overhauling their outdoor area, which I am sure will create a super cool scene. Only drawback is that they do not do a sampler - 8oz or larger pours. They will let you sample a few before making the commitment. Or, come with friends that you don't mind sharing a glass with. read more

Diego seems clueless. It was my first time, I asked to taste the "Corina" listed on the menu. He didn't know what I was talking about and the taller girl who seemed to be managing behind the bar had to remind him it was the Switchy. I had been riding on the trail all day so I ordered a sparkling water (their menu says San Peligrino for $2) and I asked Diego what he would recommend since I don't love IPA generally. He recommended a Gose, which shouldn't even be called a beer. Thankfully I just requested a taste, and it was not good. If someone wants a beer and just less hoppy they don't want a watermelon pink tart drink i Since he didn't offer any other help with the menu I blindly chose at random, the Harmacy. And although this is a three star review, the Harmacy deserves 5 stars. This is the weird part too, I ordered a small pour which the menu says is $6. I am a believer in even not the best servers earning a living wage so I tipped $4 on my receipt of $13 before heading outside and thinking....how does a $6 beer and $2 water add up to $13??? I did notice the water was Saratoga brand so maybe their menu is wrong? In hindsight I should have payed closer attention before giving a generous tip. Diego needs some coaching in helping people pick beer. Menu needs to be updated if water is more than twice the stated price and if there is a huge tax, it's supposed to be listed on a menu. Outdoor seating is lovely and indoors is set up cool. I think the tall girl behind the counter was doing her best (heard her ask the other staff the remove empty cans from view etc) but maybe she needs some better staff. read more

They have a restaurant at a different location called Deep City that looked good but was closed the day we were in town. Great waterfrontish location. Maybe our expectations were too high. With a selection of mostly IPAs and sours (neither of which we enjoy), we found our choices a little limited. The beers we did try were just okay and didn't inspire us to stay, especially in a city full of breweries. What they do right is their taproom, which was warm and trendy, with a pretty regular live music lineup. We were a little disappointed by the band that was there. We waited half an hour for them to start playing, only to find that it was two guys standing and chatting in front of a computer playing techno beats. Not the live band experience we were imagining... They do have a killer location right next to Lake Champlain. It's worth a stop, but we probably won't come back unless it's convenient. read more

This beer was really good but was over shadowed by the attitude of the people that work here. It was recommended by several other breweries to visit Foam so we looked forward to the visit. We walked in the front door where there were maybe 5 other customers seated. I could see that 3 employees lifted their heads from behind the bar when the door opened but none could be bothered to even say hello. This is such a shit thing to do to customers. Acknowledging goes a long way but ignoring says you're too good to be bothered. When we stepped up to the bar, no hello - nothing. I said hello and ordered and honestly was ready to leave at that point. If you don't like people - get a new job. It wasn't one employee either having a "bad day" it was 3 of them. Be welcoming and earn that expected tip that comes up on your ipad. All you did was pull a handle and fill a glass. read more

I dragged my family here while on vacation so I could try some beers. It was a short walk from our hotel and it across the street from the lake. This makes it convenient to get to and provides some nice views. The beers I had were good. I can't say they were great, but I have to admit I am from CA and prefer clear west cost IPAs. With that caveat, I'll admit they were one of two breweries that served my favorite beers while in VT (shout out to Zero Gravity for the other). The building is exactly what I want in a brewery - big, industrial but comfortable, family-friendly and laid back. We sat for a while and played games without anyone taking a second look. It is odd they don't offer flights for tourist like me wanted to try everything, but that's not a knock on them. Everyone has their own business model. They freely offered up samples so I could decide what I wanted to get a full pour of. I will definitely be back. We came here for an afternoon beer with our 2 dogs. They have a really nice patio that will allow dogs. It's really peaceful and just a super pleasant place to get a drink and relax. We got Make This Magic and When the Wind Forgets Your Name - both were really tasty and not too hoppy. They had a lot of variety of beer and it appears that they have rotating taps.
