The girl I spoke to on the phone was so uninterested and indifferent about my frustration and kept talking over me and projected my frustration back on me. I left a voicemail and called back a half hour later. I asked Priscilla who she reports to and she spoke over me then hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to her again. She said she didn't have to be nice to "people like me" and that I was being rude to her, despite her hanging up on me. I asked her to explain the charges and why they were sending a statement a year after the service and it being paid in full at the time. I asked why no one is holding billing (which is her) accountable. She told me again that I needed to pay it or she didn't care what I did at that point. The rep could not cancel the hold that day. They were supposed to call me back when it was cleared up and did not. So without any follow-up, I went ahead and ordered from another site instead with the script, paying full price for the glasses. Imagine my surprise when a week or so back, Visionfirst called to tell me (in March) that my January glasses were ready for pick up? What glasses? I clarified I only had the eye exam and that the sale had fallen through- there were no glasses to pick up. She assured me the VSP benefits would be returned as she would let them know I had not used my eyeglass benefits there. I trusted it would be cleared and above all other things, trust is very important to me. I would have never known if was not cleared up though if not for the eye issue today that necessitated my needing services from an eye doctor. When the doctor finished working with me today and I was looking at new frames, I was astounded to hear that I had NO eyewear benefits. This has caused additional time and work on my part today to get this straightened out.

I mis-scheduled an eye exam when I just need to get contacts with a simple check to make sure they were good. The two ladies at the front were very understanding and helpful. The optometrist who saw me to double check my prescription was still accurate and that my contacts were a good fit was very nice and patient. As I'm walked from one side of the building we're the eye appointment rooms are to the other side where the contact lenses area is employees that were not even assisting me with my appointment greeted me and asked how my day was going so far. I was a bit taken aback with the friendliness of the staff. This was my first time visiting this location. Finally I'm checking out with an employee at a desk location. She was very friendly, positive and professional. We was helpful in offering memberships deals that would save me money in the future with my eye glasses and contact lenses. She was asking about if I had weekend plans and was genuinely engaged in the conversation with responding all while checking me out efficiently and quickly. This was a really great experience and this staff works well together as a team and really puts the customer first. Go to this location is you want a great and professional experience.

Today, I received an itemized statement from my insurance and saw Clarkson charged me for a contact fitting which I never had at my annual check up on March 10, this year. My prescription did not change. When I called Billing for help, I waited forever, lots of background noise, hard-to-understand representative, and then we were cut off and she never called me back. Completely inaccurate -- I've been out of Kentucky for 2 years, haven't worn contacts since they prescribed them in December 2023, and 1-800 Contacts doesn't even have a prescription on file for me (I checked BOTH accounts). Instead of blaming your system or third-party vendors, you chose to blame the patient. A simple, respectful message would've sufficed. Very disappointing tone and condescension from a healthcare office. Would not recommend.
