The honey brut drink was super good. The guy running the shop looks like the main character in the show The Bear.

I cannot understand all the negative reviews! The Raven's Restaurant is centered around foods and…read moreingredients that are natural, non-processed, nourishing, sustainable, and most importantly cruelty-free. My husband and I stayed at the Stanford Inn back in 2025 to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, and my goodness! It's going to be really hard to beat. The Raven's Restaurant was so convenient being only a few steps away from our room. The views from the dining room are breathtaking. You either get a view of the garden and ocean, or a view of the Big River. Both are amazing! Breakfast is complimentary for those staying at the Stanford Inn, and like other reviewers have mentioned, the portion sizes are large! The food is nutrient dense, so you feel satiated after only eating half of it or so. Our breakfast would also double as our lunch, so that's two meals in one! What a win! Plus, the service was top notch every time. We felt taken care of every step of the way. I am vegan and my husband is not vegan, however, he enjoys and appreciates vegan food. There have been some vegan restaurants that we've gone to where he was not a fan, but he was so pleasantly surprised and happy with all the food at Raven's Restaurant. We especially loved the scones and looked forward to each morning trying a new flavor. They were all so delicious and moist, not crumbly and dry. None of their items were too sweet or too salty, which was amazing for people who are sensitive to those flavors. My husband and I just booked another getaway in a couple weeks and we are counting down the days to be back and enjoy Raven's Restaurant again!

We tried a few dishes including the seasonal vegetable plate, a grain bowl, and their pasta, along with a couple appetizers and salads. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, but overall it felt a bit uneven in terms of flavor and execution. Service was good and the atmosphere is very calm and scenic, especially given the inn setting. A good option if you're staying at the Stanford Inn or want a fully vegan meal

We had dinner at Petite Percebes/Good Bones on a trip to the Mendocino area in April…read more The service was pleasant and friendly, the space felt comfortable with both tables and couches (no live music at the time we visited), and everything we ate was delicious and nicely presented! Our favorites were: + Broiled oysters with bone marrow butter, Parmesan crema, and breadcrumb: although I'm not usually a huge fan of oysters, I did enjoy these particular ones! + Lemon cream pie with tangerine, lemon curd, brown butter graham, citrus marigold Chantilly: we split one slice of this pie, but I could've eaten a few more slices of the pie by myself (if my stomach had space left). Perfect ending to the meal. + Primavera panisse: crispy chickpea fritters topped with a variety of greens and flower petals. + Yuzu marigold kombucha (Wilder x Petite Percebes collaboration): this was a refreshing, lightly sweet complement to the heavier dishes of the meal. We also tried the cassoulet (which had roasted chicken thigh, Roundman's garlic sausage, pork belly, Heirloom beans - a heartier meaty dish); and the potato chowder with oyster mushrooms, spring greens, and wild nettle pistou (we loved the mushrooms in it). This spot is worth stopping by!

Inside was huge! Giant bar, tons of tables for dining, along with a stage where it looked like they hosted live music! We ordered our meals up at the front counter and took a seat in the dining area. I ordered a Golden State Mighty Dry cider and their grilled cheese sandwich with added caramelized onions and mushrooms. We were the only people inside, but food came out quick. Everyone was a huge fan of their meals. I loved my sandwich, the bread was absolutely delicious. Also was a huge fan of those mushrooms they used! We ended up leaving with a fresh baked loaf of bread when we left too for home. Service was great, food was on point, and loved the vibe they had going. Would love to come back to see some music one of these days.

I tried the French dip and it was delicious. The au jus added the perfect amount of flavor. The salad that accompanied it per my request was also delicious. You can also choose to have fries instead- with multiple choices (garlic, truffle and more). I enjoyed a bloody Mary, which was made from scratch. The restroom is clean and unisex, and the decor is fun. I sat at the bar, but they do have an outdoor patio with a ton of seats. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

The decor is eclectic, which many interesting things displayed everywhere. On our first visit, we started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder ($13). This was great! It was thick with clams and even passed my "spoon test", which is being able to support the spoon standing vertically in the soup without falling over. It passed the test due to the thick soup with lots of clams. (See photo). We each had the Chicken Pot Pie ($22) from the daily special menu. This was delicious and thick and topped by a puff-pastry like thick topping. They also make Irish Coffee ($11) that was perfect. Just as good as the Buena Vista Bar in San Francisco (where this cocktail was invented). On our second visit, two nights later, my wife had a French Dip sandwich with sweet potato french fries ($22). She found it enjoyable and very good. I had a Patty Melt ($22) which was delicious. They make an espresso martini ($14) that is delicious! On both visits, the service was quick and friendly.
