Some basic learning about temps for wine types would be a good start. (2) The owner and her colleague took up 2 of the 3 chairs at the bar, and were drinking. Surely the seats should be left for customers (3) The owner said our server doesn't really know what she's doing because she's new. Didn't feel right to hear that said publicly in front of her - maybe spend time training her vs. drinking at the counter. (4) The menu states prices for a 6 ounce pour, but no pre-measured mini-carafe is used for wines poured directly from the bottle (this is a simple, but profoundly impactful upgrade for the customers of wine bars). A concept is one thing, but better execution and leadership could result in a real gem in downtown Fort Bragg.

The atmosphere was laid back and welcoming, making it an easy place to linger after a day on the road. One important thing to know ahead of time is that Piaci is cash only, so come prepared. If you are passing through Fort Bragg and looking for a casual meal with good beer and solid pizza, Piaci is definitely worth the stop.
