On top of that, the live music set the mood, awesome indie tunes being performed on stage and an even better sound system. There's a jukebox on site too, to go along with the quirky decor and dim colored lighting creating an inviting setting. Also, service at the bar was excellent as we ordered a couple different cocktails. The whiskey sour and strawberry lemon drop were made well and quite tasty. So of course, we had seconds. When we pointed this out, the waitress claimed extra oysters had been added to the shells, but we did not see any evidence of that. The Service: Basic service was missing. We never received water refills, and our empty shell plates were never cleared, leaving a massive pile of clutter on the table. The Bill & Gratuity: A 20% gratuity was automatically added because we were a party of 6 (5 adults and a baby). After we expressed our dissatisfaction, the waitress did remove the automatic charge and said sorry that we didn't like the food. This was a nice little Mexican restaurant, and had all the markings of a family business. In short-- delicious food. Sometimes these small town spots can be hit or miss; this place was definitely great. The carne asada was better than the chicken, but I always think that. My youngest got a Shrimp and Pulpo cocktail that was amazing. My cheese enchiladas and Chile relleno were off the hook delicious, too. Not sure when our travels will take us back to Fort Bragg, but we will definitely stop back in here again to see our new friends.

We closed out with the Caesar salad topped with the local rockfish done Cajun style, wow! We didn't want a bunch of extras and it let us try the grilled fish. Shockingly good salad (yes, rest of the US, you can do it!) and the fish was perfect. The view was spectacular, right out the harbor to the sea. The interior was huge. My only complaint was the person who took our reservation and then checked us in was abrupt and disinterested in customer service. Her manager seemed squarely on it and so set a great tone. Same with our server and the clean up team, superb service.
