Nice to wander into a place and feel welcome right away. Excellent people and dog watching can be found here, along with the cheap drinks and snacks. By snacks I mean the chips and jerky variety. Keep in mind it is cash only. They do have an atm in the corner with a $3 fee for use. You would think I would remember things in this town lean cash only, but alas I did not on this trip. Oh well. We ordered a couple rounds and each well drink was $4.50. A bag of Cheetos to share was $1.50. Keep it classy. A regular came in with her smallish dog that seemed to have just been frolicking on the beach because she was wet and full of sand XD... a puppy shot of whipped cream was promptly given at the bar and I realized I had come to the right place. I really liked the vibe here. People were friendly and real, just having a good time and hanging out. Make me want to live here even more why don't you? They have pool and shuffleboard. TVs with sportings (Final Four) were on during our visit, but they've also got a touch tunes jukebox. I will def be back here the next time I want a fort bragg dive bar experience. Bathroom Report: double check the lock, clean, just janky enough to make me miss home

Chill, unpretentious drinking hole w/ two pool tables and free shuffleboard. Having also been to the bar next door, this one feels more like being with the kids that hang out under the bleachers or in the back of the bus.

If you are looking for a cold one and some pool then you are in the right place. Great shuffle board table also. #MoneyMikeChallenge

Your typical dive bar. I don't recommend the bloody mary's here though. Ours were WAY too salty and tasted weird. It's cool they have free shuffle board though.

Great bar gay friendly however mostly straight kind of redneck mix but having a great time.

Yelp says 3 stars = "A OK" and that's what this place is. I don't know exactly how it could be better, since it is one of 3 dive bars in Fort Bragg and they all are charming. This place has several pool tables, a shuffle board table, one TV, and a bartender who speaks loudly as if there's music playing even when there isn't. Good times!

Lagunitas IPA and just the way I like it Ice Cold!

I licked all the garlic off of the shell. inside seating. there's also outdoor seating which is under a tent, a bit humid butyou get used to it. the train runs through maybe every 15 mins and it is crazy loud. it commands the whole room's attention, everyone must look at it, because you just cant talk over that loudness. it was fun to wave to some passsngers. the semifreddo dessert was wonderful! a frozen mouse, chocolate flavor with strawberries on top.

Into everyone's life a little fancy restaurant must fall…read more... After a walk along the coast and an appetite has been acquired, it is a short walk to this small fancy restaurant just off of downtown. Upon entering, there is a small initimate bar, dining area and a patio out back for "al fresco" dining. By San Francisco Bay Area city standards, it is not fancy in the luxurious, posh sense, but here, seafood is the star! First up, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. Frankly, they could have been prepared any which way - for the oyster fan, they were fresh and delicious! The salmon was good (although a bit overcooked, the waiter didn't ask how it should be cooked). The salmon came perched atop garlic mashed potatoes that were out of this world! The scallops were so fresh and tasty and perfectly paired with polenta and farm fresh asparagus! They also feature Northern California (as in North of the San Francisco Bay Area) wines and beers, something not readily found outside Mendocino County. There was no room for dessert, guaranteeing a trip back to get the full-on meal experience! The environment is convivial. On a late May early evening, there were graduation dinners out back on the patio, an intimate shared dinner with drinks going on in the bar, and ladies who dine in the corner. Another unique aspect of this restaurant is that it is very close (as in feet away) from the Mendocino Skunk train. Diners will experience the train horn, warning signals and small tremors caused by the train chugging by at any time during their meal. There are also people working out on pedal bikes (yes *on* the tracks) to get exercise on their tour of the redwoods in Mendocino! It added to the ambience as an "only in Fort Bragg" experience! We had a great meal and will be going back!

Since no one was inviting anyone over out of Covid-Crazy-Creepy-Crawly fear, this made a lot of sense at the time. If you've never cooked a turkey on a Weber Kettle... well, you're letting the best in life pass you by. Now, our tradition has changed to going camping for the days leading up to Thanksgiving, and heading home for the big day. Nice to see family and friends, but we still enjoy that cool NorCal vibe in the forest. This past year, we tried a new spot just north of Boonville, CA, which put is pretty close to Ft. Bragg. On one of the days we were in the area, we ventured into town for a nice meal. We found Los Gallitos by chance, looking for a spot to part my truck. This was a nice little Mexican restaurant, and had all the markings of a family business. In short-- delicious food. Sometimes these small town spots can be hit or miss; this place was definitely great. The carne asada was better than the chicken, but I always think that. My youngest got a Shrimp and Pulpo cocktail that was amazing. My cheese enchiladas and Chile relleno were off the hook delicious, too. Not sure when our travels will take us back to Fort Bragg, but we will definitely stop back in here again to see our new friends.
