Communication was prompt and Beckie was super hospitable at every moment. She was kind and calm, and we all felt welcomed and comfortable. Thanks to her, we learned about alpacas and took some adorable photos. We even got to take home some souvenirs from her cute shop (get the alpaca socks-my husband LOVES his!). As a cherry on top to this fabulous experience, my toddlers got to pick a delicious Fuji apple from Beckie's farm. Wowow, what a fun and unique adventure! If you choose not to buy the bag, they'll happily transfer your cherries into another bag for you. U-pick pricing was around $6.25 per pound, which felt reasonable for such a fun experience and fresh fruit. The property was very family-friendly with other small businesses and attractions on site, making it easy to spend a few hours there. Overall, it was such a lovely outing and a great way to spend Mother's Day together. We'll definitely be back!

This was our first time visiting the farm during the harvest season. We didn't get to do everything…read more(newborn & toddler needing a nap) but there was sooo much to do. Farmer John's really spent time and resources making upgrades to everyone's experience when they visit. One of the most noticeable improvements was the concrete paths that have been poured, circling the attractions. This makes the farm completely stroller friendly and so much easier for moms with young kids. My daughter also got to do the pony ride which was such a special treat for her. I should also note that it was only $15 to get in. We went to another pumpkin patch here in the valley that charged just as much, but had way less attractions, amenities and things to do. Thank you farmer John for always making our experiences better and better, and keeping it affordable for us moms!

We arrived at Bryerly Farms and it was nothing like we expected (not a farm in the traditional sense) BUT it more than made up for it in hospitality and the majestic horses we got to meet - most of which were wild rescue horses. Anne was so warm, very patient with my daughter and her one thousand questions about farm life and she introduced us to all the beautiful horses and ponies by name! On our way home, my daughter kept saying their names and how she wants to take riding lessons with one of the ponies. We're looking forward to going back soon , as we've been invited for an Autumn party and to pick prickly pears :)

As we were coming home from a night away, we wanted to stop and have a moment with our little amongst the pumpkins and support an East Bay pumpkin patch. As we were about to pass Livermore, we saw signage and oodles of fun happening for G&M Farms so we pulled off. There is so much to do here! You can grab a red Radio Flyer wagon and truly go hunting for the perfect pumpkin within the patch itself, or if you're on the hunt for more smaller pumpkins/gourds there is a whole gift shop/farm store that is so incredibly cute for basically every pumpkin vibe you can imagine. Plenty of spots to stop and take pictures with friends or family. There's a corn maze, drinks/snacks like mini donuts, popcorn, and corn dogs, and speaking of corn..oh-em-gee! Truly wanted to share a review for this reason alone. Looking for a sensory activity for your little? There is not a sandbox, but a giant CORN box for play. The adults also tried it (essentially we just put our feet in and it felt surprisingly really nice. Something unexpected and truly unique, fun, and interactive. We also noticed a few other activities on the pumpkin patch side like a tractor/train ride and I'm not sure if there was a petting zoo? Well, their umbrellas were NOT secured, there was a strong gust of wind that lifted the heavy umbrella out from the table, knocked-over drinks, spilled drinks on my girlfriend and our food, the umbrella could have hit and injured her and their response was just "Are you okay?" AFTER I asked my girlfriend if she was alright. No "was anything damaged?" or "Can I get you a towell, or at least replace your drinks?" No, they just took the umbrellas away in a golf cart. Thanks for the mess, the ruined food, spilled drinks from your unsecured umbrellas, and not offering to compensate us at all.

Tickets for the lavender bloom are seasonal and opening dates can vary based on the timing of the bloom each year. They do a great job of posting their bloom updates and open hours. Buy entry tickets in advance and be ready to show them on your phone. On the day I visited, they had a local coffee vendor who was serving lavender infused products and some local makers on site. The farm is not far from the Sacramento and Folsom areas and you can spend the day visiting other local growers or businesses not too far away. What I really enjoyed about the farm were their strategically placed benches and lawns. You can sit in the shade and enjoy the fields from afar after taking time to walk directly through them. Photo ops abound! There's also a farm barn with their wonderful products such as lotions, soaps and culinary items made from their own lavender. If you missed their opening in 2024, be sure to check them out in next year's bloom. Such a pretty and peaceful place!

The kids and adults all learned so much about tortoises, and the whole experience was incredibly informative, hands-on, and just so cool. How often do you get to get up close and personal with giant tortoises like that?! The owners were so knowledgeable and kind to open up their home and space to all of us. You can tell how much they care about their animals and sharing what they know with kids. Such a fun and unique experience, and we can't wait to come back again with my youngest for his field trip!

Unfortunately, the experience quickly changed due to the rude behavior from the owners. During our visit, the owner yelled at the children - YELLED. This video is just a small example of what happened. There were multiple instances where both the man and his wife raised their voices not only at the kids, but also at the parents. While the children still managed to have fun, the overall environment felt stressful and uncomfortable for many of us. We understand that managing large groups of young kids can be challenging, but the way the situation was handled made what should have been a positive field trip feel uneasy and disappointing.
