Great environment-don't see many kids-small bar area-beer only. Bring your own wine-cork fee is $3.50 each member. Waiting area inside with seating-outdoor area to eat. Business still booming after 30 years. Menu diverse-Cajun, steak, seafood-soup and salad. Dessert menu changes. Food mediocre-service above average.

A really great spot off the beaten path with a great view of the water. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious!

Sadly, unimpressive. Service was as decent as any, but food was extremely overpriced for the quality/amount of food served.

Drinks were served quickly, the espresso martini is wonderful! We asked for the cornbread and also got the toasted bread for appetizers. Food presentation is great. I highly recommend the New York strip, Chicken Schnitzel and salmon! Sides of carrots, asparagus and hasselback potatoes are delicious. Bottom line... you need to stop in. Wonderful atmosphere, great staff and fantastic food.

We were seated promptly, our waiter was friendly and attentive, and our drinks and appetizer came out quickly, so the evening started off on a positive note. Unfortunately, when it was time to order our entrees, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. I ended up having to choose something I normally wouldn't have ordered because so many of the options I wanted weren't available. My son enjoyed his meal, but my chicken gnocchi was very disappointing. It had almost no flavor, and the texture was so soft that it was more like mush than a pasta dish. To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn't working, and while I understand equipment can fail, the dining room was quite warm despite several fans running. Our server was kind and did his best, but overall the experience didn't match what I would expect from a high-end restaurant. Spending nearly $200 on a birthday dinner that ended up feeling average at best was disappointing. I hope the restaurant can address the menu availability, food quality, and facility issues because I really wanted this to be a memorable celebration for my son for all the right reasons. I really want to come back and have a better experience.

I am incredibly disappointed by our experience surrounding my parents' 55th wedding anniversary…read moredinner. Earlier that afternoon, I called the restaurant and asked if I could drop off flowers and a few balloons to surprise my parents when they arrived for dinner. I was told no because there was nowhere to store them. I suggested placing them on the inside porch area where no one sits or the inside unused bar (see pictures), out of the way until our reservation time, but was again told no. After speaking with a second employee and explaining that this was for my parents' 55th wedding anniversary, I still received the same response. What was most disappointing was the lack of willingness to help create a special moment for longtime customers. My parents dine here frequently (in fact, just last weekend!), and this small gesture would have meant so much to them. For a locally owned business in a small community, I expected a greater focus on customer experience and hospitality. When we arrived for our 7:00 p.m. reservation, it was apparent there were several places where a vase of flowers could have been tucked away until we were seated. We also were not seated until around 7:20, did not place our food order until nearly 8:00, and did not leave until after 9:00. To be clear, the food was excellent. The quality of the meal itself was not the issue. What I cannot get past is that the staff was unwilling to accommodate a very simple request that would have helped make a once-in-a-lifetime milestone celebration feel truly special. The only solution offered was for me to arrive 10 minutes early with the flowers and balloons. Unfortunately, I was driving in from out of town, coordinating with my parents, dropping off my dog, and heading directly to the restaurant, so that was not feasible. My parents were disappointed, and honestly, so was I. This felt like a missed opportunity to show a little flexibility and create a memorable experience for loyal customers celebrating a remarkable 55 years of marriage. Hospitality is about more than serving great food. It's about helping people celebrate life's special moments, and in this case, I feel the restaurant fell short.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!
