We went to Fogo to celebrate our anniversary, and unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. Fogo has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but I feel like both the food and, to some extent, the service just aren't hitting the mark the way they used to. Now, don't get me wrong, the service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive overall. Our drinks were refilled quickly, and the staff stayed on top of clearing dirty plates and bringing out bread. However, I noticed that some of the staff serving the meats seemed extremely rushed. We went for Sunday brunch right when they opened, and there were only about five tables seated, so I was surprised by how hurried some of the service felt. A few servers were also a little messy when serving the meat. On more than one occasion, meat was held directly over our water glasses and juices would fly all over the table. It wasn't the biggest issue, but it definitely took away from the experience. The biggest disappointment, though, was the food. The meats were consistently bland and lacked the flavor I remember from Fogo. Even the garlic beef had only the slightest hint of garlic. For a restaurant where the meat is supposed to be the star of the experience, I expected much more flavor. It's honestly disappointing to say this because Fogo has been a longtime favorite of mine, but I feel like I've lost my taste for it. For my next all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse experience, I'll probably be trying a different churrascaria instead. I still appreciate the friendly staff and the memories I've had at Fogo, but unfortunately, this visit just didn't live up to the experience I've come to expect from them.

Lunch Pan-Seared Salmon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes

This was my first visit to Fogo De Chão and was left underwhelmed. Among entering there was two other families with reservations waiting to be seated but there was nobody at the host stand so we were all just waiting around. I could tell they were understaffed as this occurred for the entirety of my stay. On this visit I wasn't in the mood for any red meats so I opted out of the Churrasco Experience but I will be back once more to try it out along with their market table as that's what they're most known for! I ordered the lunch pan-seared salmon and subbed the asparagus for mashed potatoes. The salmon was fresh and lightly seasoned but very overcooked. I mentioned it to my server and she didn't mind preparing me a new one. The second was cooked much better. The chimichurri sauce on top didn't have much flavor in my opinion. All I could taste was vinegar, oil and parsley. I really enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes. They were buttery and had great flavor! Overall, I don't know if it was just the location, but the service wasn't great and the restaurant wasn't the cleanest. I'll give Fogo one more go, but a different location. Maybe I had my expectations too high but unfortunately I wasn't impressed.

Second visit to this establishment- Our Server, Ariel did an outstanding job serving & taking care of us old ladies- very lovely decor. All the staff treated us with greatness & kindness. Food was amazing.

Unfortunately, I still see a lot of room for improvement. There was quite a bit of confusion when we sat down. Even after placing our order, we had to request plates, and our first server later had to bring tongs over after noticing we had not received them. I'm not sure where the disconnect occurred, but basic table items such as plates and serving utensils should have been provided in a timely manner. I also noted in our reservation that we were celebrating a 74th birthday. We were only offered a candle after dessert had already been presented. I was later informed that the staff is not provided with the information guests include when making reservations. That was disappointing to hear, as details like special celebrations are important and would clearly benefit the staff experience and overall guest experience. Additionally, we were told the gift certificate included two meals, two non-alcoholic beverages, and two desserts, but it was apparently only tied to a specific dollar amount instead. That created confusion and different expectations. The biggest issue I continue to notice at this location is communication. There seems to be a disconnect between reservations, staff awareness, and guest expectations, and it significantly impacts the overall dining experience.

There will never really be much to complain about food-wise at Fogo de Chao. All steaks were good and the market table was enjoyable. The service however very disappointing. It was my first time at this specific location. We were about 10 minutes late to our weekday 12:30 reservation (reasonably late) but waited 15+ minutes to be sat down. Then upon sitting down no one had approached our table for another 5-10+ minutes. It was awhile before bread and drinks were brought to us and service was just not very attentive throughout the meal. The mashed potato and plantain sides also had to be requested when i haven't had to ask for them at other locations.

We visited Fogo de Chão for my birthday back in October. We've been many times before, but this visit just felt different. The service was okay and there was definitely no shortage of meat, but it also confirmed that we're just not buffet people--even when it's upscale. Even the seating felt off; it honestly reminded us of being back in Jamaica in July, sitting at our resort where meals were more exclusive and relaxed. Here, it felt like a high-end buffet with constant table traffic, which took away from the experience. Nothing was necessarily bad, but nothing really stood out either. Probably great if you love endless meat and that dining style--just not our vibe this time.

Came in today and was seated in the bar area with Maria. We were seated quickly without a reservation (2) & the service was phenomenal. The staff was just incredible. Joc consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing well and kept us refilled. The food was 100%. 10/10. We definitely will be back. It wasn't busy so the food came out very quickly. They have an all day happy hour so we ordered the lamb chops, filet board, chicken sliders, empanadas, beef rib, Gold rush, a Malbec and the happy hour burger. It was wonderful and we will be back!!

This is our second time at Fogo de Chao in cypress. We were greeted at the door, we had reservations and that is highly recommended. The lighting was dimmed and the music was not too loud where you can talk across the table. The table service was okay and was not spectacular. We kept having to ask to refill water, asking is there any meat because we got barely any meat served. The table would get offered servings of any kind of meat every 10 mins or even longer. You can literally look around the room and literally there was NO ONE serving meat to any guests at their table. No one got any type of beef, lamb, chicken for a good 5-10 mins. and if you did get offered meat it not hot, there wasn't a variety of beef the same 2 beefs / sausage were the only that did come around. I've been to multiple Brazilian steakhouse and this was VERY disappointing. The servers barely came around, completely ignoring our green/red cards. We had to repeatedly ask for specific cuts like the picanha, filet, which never appeared. I ask for fresh cheesy bread 3x to 3 different people . When the meat did arrive, it was either tough, extremely salty, or undercooked (still red in the middle when we asked for medium-well). Definitely NOT worth the high price tag at all; we actually left feeling incredibly frustrated and cheated. We spent $400 on salad bar, and a few pieces of meat. This is very sad and after writing this review and reading others I was not alone. All the tables were just sitting looking at each other, talking with no one walking around offering any sort of meat. This is actually really ridiculous and there should be servers bringing meats around non stop, to where guest have to flip their card red and when the plates are full of food. This was a total opposite experience, terrible experience and most likely my last time here. I will definitely not be back and prefer to go to other Brazilian Steakhouses that I know will provide a much better experience with a better selection of meat offerings or even offering meats more frequently then 1 every 10 minutes. Their sale of "endless meat" is FALSE Advertising. You get hardly any served to you, better go to a nice steakhouse do you really get what you paid for. Save yourself the money and time. I hope the manager / management team do read this review and consider on make a huge change.

    Weird communal seating

Absolutely horrendous, why fogo keeps building these called down versions is beyond me. You have a successful model on Westheimer . Why you build these cut down versions is beyond me 1.) seating is a weird bench and chair configuration which forces you to sit next to complete strangers 2.) wait spilled my drink all over my side of the table and my white dress was wet and stained service was terrible. I asked for filet 6 times. Waited 45 min to get 1 piece that was terrible 3.) Daughter found several pieces of bone in her steak she had to spit out. Unacceptable. 4) the grilled cheese was burnt . We asked for a different selection that was brought but with no honey . 5.) small salad bar selection 6 .) no one smiled or seemed happy to be there. It made us feel like we were an inconvenience and. It welcome. Tiny way to do fine dining, definitely wouldn't return. Could never get a manager to come to my table to discuss the issues so we paid and left waste of money and time

The entire staff from the hostess to the manager was top tier. Restaurant was spotless and the food was so good. I just got the salad bar because there was so many choices from charcuterie to the candied maple bacon droooolllllll!!!! I could have had a plate of the bacon and oh my god the cheesy bread. Reminded me of mini popovers!!! But next time I will go and do the meat as well. Drink was on point!!! Don't ask me what it was but I had THREE they were so tasty!! Had a business dinner meeting when I was in Houston traveling on business.

Our second experience was much better than the first. Staff was very attentive and the food was good. We brought our two graduates for the first time and they enjoyed the experience. We were able to be seated immediately without a reservation so that was nice.

We came here around 3:40 on a Sunday for a party of 4. We waited maybe 5 mins for a table. Service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. They also offer valet parking here, but I don't really see the point in that since there's plenty of parking in the back. We opted for the full churrasco experience. We started off at the market table which included things like charcuterie, salad, fruits, and my favorite - the candied bacon. After that we enjoyed endless meats from ribeye to lamb chops to pork belly. Everything was great quality and delicious.

This catfish is served headless which is perfect and the flavors is one of the best whole catfish I've had in ALL of Houston. Yes even better than Captain Toms which is up the street. The shrimp fried rice was extremely good. Ranks as one of the better shrimp fried rice spots I've had outside of China town. Although its made up of popcorn sized shrimp, the flavor profile is phenomenal. Let me note that as a seafood spot they also have some great fajita and chicken alternatives for tacos and quesadillas. Including even a hamburger however I did not try them. The drinks from the bar are nicely balanced and the presentation of them are wonderful. The authenticity of this Mexican style seafood spot is on par and the flavors are perfect on the seafood items I've tried so far. Oh and the bathrooms are spotless and clean. We came in with a group and decided to go all in--and I'm so glad we did because every single dish showed up and showed out. Let's start with the cheeseburger and fries--this wasn't your average bar burger. It was thick, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The kind of burger where every bite is flavorful and satisfying. And those fries? Golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside... basically impossible to stop eating. The shepherd's pie (full order) was pure comfort in a dish. Rich, savory meat layered with vegetables and topped with creamy mashed potatoes that were baked to a beautiful golden finish. It had that homemade, hearty feel that just hits different--especially when you're sharing with good company. Now the fish and chips... WOW. Light, crispy batter that didn't overpower the fish, which was flaky and tender inside. Not greasy, not heavy--just perfectly fried and paired with fries that held their crunch. Exactly what you want from a proper Irish pub. And let's talk about the wings--because we tried two kinds, including the Jameson wings, and they were next-level. The sauce had that smooth, slightly sweet, slightly bold whiskey flavor that made them stand out in the best way. Sticky, flavorful, and cooked just right. The other wings held their own too--great crisp, great sauce coverage, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, one thing that always stands out to me is how clean and well-kept the place is. That matters--and Blue Rooster Irish Pub & Grill consistently delivers. It makes the whole experience feel comfortable, welcoming, and just easy to enjoy. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do.

An absolute lovely addition to the Cypress area. And very much needed in the plaza for which it's…read morelocated as there is zero late night entertainment there. Only restaurants that close at around 10PM. Blue Rooster to the rescue! I would easily say this is one of the best Irish Pubs in all of Cypress. The fish and chips are good here. Perhaps not the best, but they are tasty. The fries are absolutely delicious and that's about all I can say about the food as I've not yet tried anything else. I've been eyeing the wings but the fish and chips have won on my debate on what to order for the last and only 3 times I was there. They have a full bar that's kept clean, 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards. The setup there is comfortable and easy to relax and mingle with other patrons. Oh and let me not forget to mention that it's completely Smoke Free. (Yeaaaahhhh!!!) They have Karaoke I believe on Thursdays and Steak Nights on Wednesday. Ive yet to try the steak night but it's certainly on my to do list ASAP. They do have beer of course but I must mention that they also have some IPA options unlike some of the other nearby pubs that barely carry just one. I have to admire a place that carry craft beer options for the patrons that want more than just the same ole beers they can have at home. Now what I like more about this place which keeps me coming back is the service and the ambience. It has that Cheers type of environment and welcoming feel that makes ya feel a bit homey. I also have to introduce the Cypress area to probably one of the best bartenders I've seen in all of Cypress and that's Tori. My last visit there she was running that entire bar "Alone". I mean there was zero lag time on getting your refills and it was hopping that night. She was literally everywhere like a super hero taking care of guest and all with a big smile. I was able to get her to freeze a bit to strike a pose and then in a flash she was back at it taking great care of other patrons. Tori is Ms. Marvel behind that bar for sure. Cock a doodle do, and Prosper!
