O.M.G. This was my very first time having a seafood boil and man was I missing out. The wait was about 30 minutes for 2 people on a Saturday evening around 6:30. The staff was friendly and accommodating with my first visit! The inside decor was so cool. I'm so glad I went and DEFINITELY going back!

I ordered in advance online. Food was ready in 15 mins. Good service as I picked up my order. They confirmed my phone number and gave me the order. We got snow crabs, headless and head on shrimp, sausage potatoes and corn. Also got a boiled egg. I got wings for my son. These are the best lemon pepper wings. Very meaty and seasoned. The seafood was good but not spicy enough for me. I need to kick up the spice level. Also ordered extra potatoes but not corn. We ended up with 1 corn. Good meal.

The sign says all you need to know about a place. But the food is good. Service is hit or miss. Don't leave this place tipsy or the JV police will be waiting for you outside.

Want to start off by saying I've tried 3 different craft crab locations including the one in Panama City beach Florida. But in Houston I've tried two the 1960/45 location and this one on 290. The 290 location has been the better go to. I've also seen another location near nasa area. But we ordered 3LBs of crawfish and 1LB of shrimp boil and it was a 8/10. Flavor was on point but could have been more spicy.but overall still very delicious. Corn and potatoes were good as well. Love how they have a huge red hummer just sitting in the entry lol

What a great place to relax with my family and dine. This was a first for me, but my niece has been here more than a couple of times. She was spot on when she said it's like being on the Bayou. It's a true authentic seafood restaurant with all the trimmings, music in the background, fishnets hanging from the ceiling, and the big monstrous truck greeting you at the door. I so much enjoyed the atmosphere, and our waitress was the sweetest. As you can see, we enjoyed the food so much. The Texas combined Louisiana flavors flow through every bite of our food. We ordered three seafood boils, one catfish basket, and a shrimp basket. We were too stuffed to add a dessert. But next time, I'll get my dessert!

Came in with my parents on Easter Sunday. It's a huge restaurant with plenty of seating so we didn't have to wait to be sat down. It was our first time having a proper seafood boil and for our first experience, not having anything to compare it to beforehand it was pretty good. I ordered their headless shrimp in their mixed seasoning and it was pretty tasty. It was a decent experience and if I'm ever in the mood for seafood I'll probably be back.

Visiting over Holiday Season. This is hands down a very good establishment. Restaurant was decorated for holidays and music made atmosphere fun and welcoming. Our server Willy was very attentive and made our visit even better. For drinks I ordered from the bar the Hennessy Lemon drop and Hennessy Boomarita, which were great and strong( no complaints here). For dinner had the lobster tail special, which came in a boil bag, one lobster tail, a cluster of snow crabs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, sausage corn and potatoes. I also added boiled eggs. My sister had the fried shrimp with French fries basket. These were the best fried shrimp I've had in along time and the tartar sauce was phenomenal. I will definitely try this place when I visit Houston again, it's definitely better than our Boil places in Virginia.

I cannot lie, I had an extremely long day. I only pulled up here because I know it's a quiet place. However, I am extremely happy I came because Ambrosia made our night! She was polite, well spoken, attentive, and funny. Recommendations for food? She's got it. Recommendations for drinks? She's got it. Table dirty? She's on it! Her spirit was so pleasant that we left her a nice tip. She's young with more sense of customer service than folks twice her age. Oh yeah, shout out to the silent heroes of the night: the cooks. Ba-bay (in my Louisiana accent) that fried shrimp platter and boiled combo bag was PHENOMENAL. Bottom line: Great food + Great service = repeat customers.

We ordered: - Fried Calamari - Fried Seafood Platter | Fried flounder, deviled crab, baby shrimp, fried oysters, jumbo shrimp The fried calamari was actually very good. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly salted. The fried seafood platter was very lackluster. Unlike the calamari, the batter was soggy. The side of fries that came with it was soggy and flavorless as well.

"Flat" breading. - The cod was rubbery. I could not eat. Sent it back for fried catfish. Fishy. - -Tartar sauce is served in a plastic squeeze bottle and is runny. -Salad was just a very basic bowl of iceberg with three tiny slices of tomatoes and cucumber topped with mixed cheese. Dressing was like water and in a plastic squeeze bottle. - hushpuppies were the best thing, but not in the shape of a ball, but a small dog turd. - on the seafood platter, the best thing were the fried oysters. - baked potato was not even good. Served in foil and plain. You are given one plastic tube of sour cream and some margarine in those tiny cups (like at Wendy's or other fast food). No crackers on table. Before tip, $63. Very sad. They will be closed by October at this rate.

Being originally from Mississippi, the "home" of catfish, this place has the best catfish I've had since I've been in Houston. It has a clean flavor which is hard to find and it's fried to perfection. There isn't the leftover, lingering oil or grease. The fries are *chef's kiss* Collectively my family and I had edamame, fries, fried shrimp, fried catfish, oyster poboy, bang bang shrimp, hushpuppies, sushi and coleslaw. There was not one thing we ordered that I would not order again. The amount of food you get for the cost is economical. For all of that food plus three sodas and a beer, our bill was right at $120. Not only is the food great but the service is just as great. It is not heavily staffed but you never feel like you're rushed or overlooked. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait for fresh food. Even with little staff and cook to order food, the wait isn't long at all. You can't go wrong with them! 10 out of 10

You could tell they soaked them pretty well, they were extremely juicy. We also ordered the fried pickle chips and they were bomb -- crispy, flavorful, and not too greasy. A great start to the meal. The oysters were another highlight. Good size, super fresh, and had that clean, briny snap that oyster fans will appreciate. Everything tasted like it came straight from the Gulf (in the best way). Service was spot on -- super attentive without hovering, and everyone was friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a fried platter. While he just thought it was ok, the seafood was fried perfectly. I personally liked his meal. Only downside? Seating was a bit limited, especially if you come during peak hours. All in all, good experience. Great food.

This place has been Mexican Restaurants and Seafood spots in the past but this time I think they finally nailed it. It has basically the same layout as it's predecessors however with upgrades and much cleanliness. But the best upgrade ever here is... The Food! I ordered the whole catfish which was served surprisingly with shrimp fried rice a salad and some fries. This catfish is served headless which is perfect and the flavors is one of the best whole catfish I've had in ALL of Houston. Yes even better than Captain Toms which is up the street. The shrimp fried rice was extremely good. Ranks as one of the better shrimp fried rice spots I've had outside of China town. Although its made up of popcorn sized shrimp, the flavor profile is phenomenal. Let me note that as a seafood spot they also have some great fajita and chicken alternatives for tacos and quesadillas. Including even a hamburger however I did not try them. The drinks from the bar are nicely balanced and the presentation of them are wonderful. The authenticity of this Mexican style seafood spot is on par and the flavors are perfect on the seafood items I've tried so far. Oh and the bathrooms are spotless and clean. That makes a major difference in eating establishments. This spot is definitely a staple in the area and I highly recommend this place over any other major chain Seafood spot. They deserve the red carpet in the seafood space. Be Blessed and Prosper

Only restaurants that close at around 10PM. Blue Rooster to the rescue! I would easily say this is one of the best Irish Pubs in all of Cypress. The fish and chips are good here. Perhaps not the best, but they are tasty. The fries are absolutely delicious and that's about all I can say about the food as I've not yet tried anything else. I've been eyeing the wings but the fish and chips have won on my debate on what to order for the last and only 3 times I was there. They have a full bar that's kept clean, 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards. The setup there is comfortable and easy to relax and mingle with other patrons. Oh and let me not forget to mention that it's completely Smoke Free. (Yeaaaahhhh!!!) They have Karaoke I believe on Thursdays and Steak Nights on Wednesday. Ive yet to try the steak night but it's certainly on my to do list ASAP. They do have beer of course but I must mention that they also have some IPA options unlike some of the other nearby pubs that barely carry just one. I have to admire a place that carry craft beer options for the patrons that want more than just the same ole beers they can have at home. Now what I like more about this place which keeps me coming back is the service and the ambience. It has that Cheers type of environment and welcoming feel that makes ya feel a bit homey. I also have to introduce the Cypress area to probably one of the best bartenders I've seen in all of Cypress and that's Tori. My last visit there she was running that entire bar "Alone". I mean there was zero lag time on getting your refills and it was hopping that night. She was literally everywhere like a super hero taking care of guest and all with a big smile. I was able to get her to freeze a bit to strike a pose and then in a flash she was back at it taking great care of other patrons. Tori is Ms. Marvel behind that bar for sure. We came in with a group and decided to go all in--and I'm so glad we did because every single dish showed up and showed out. Let's start with the cheeseburger and fries--this wasn't your average bar burger. It was thick, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The kind of burger where every bite is flavorful and satisfying. And those fries? Golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside... basically impossible to stop eating. The shepherd's pie (full order) was pure comfort in a dish. Rich, savory meat layered with vegetables and topped with creamy mashed potatoes that were baked to a beautiful golden finish. It had that homemade, hearty feel that just hits different--especially when you're sharing with good company. Now the fish and chips... WOW. Light, crispy batter that didn't overpower the fish, which was flaky and tender inside. Not greasy, not heavy--just perfectly fried and paired with fries that held their crunch. Exactly what you want from a proper Irish pub. And let's talk about the wings--because we tried two kinds, including the Jameson wings, and they were next-level. The sauce had that smooth, slightly sweet, slightly bold whiskey flavor that made them stand out in the best way. Sticky, flavorful, and cooked just right. The other wings held their own too--great crisp, great sauce coverage, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, one thing that always stands out to me is how clean and well-kept the place is. That matters--and Blue Rooster Irish Pub & Grill consistently delivers. It makes the whole experience feel comfortable, welcoming, and just easy to enjoy. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do.
