Lots of space indoor, cute underwater themed decor. I ordered the 1/2lb boiled shrimp in garlic butter sauce mild, flavor was ok, nice sized shrimp, came with 2 potatoes. My bf ordered the gumbo and the calamari. Calamari was tender but didn't seem fresh. Gumbo was ok. Also ordered the key lime pie which was just a frozen buy it in store type pie so there was nothing special about it. Service was good. I would return and try other things on the menu. read more

Nothing special about this place the Cole slaw is terrible, it tastes days old and not even sauce on it. The catfish dosent see to be redo catfish. It seems to be swai or something else. I ordered in advance online. Food was ready in 15 mins. Good service as I picked up my order. They confirmed my phone number and gave me the order. We got snow crabs, headless and head on shrimp, sausage potatoes and corn. Also got a boiled egg. I got wings for my son. These are the best lemon pepper wings. Very meaty and seasoned. Want to start off by saying I've tried 3 different craft crab locations including the one in Panama City beach Florida. But in Houston I've tried two the 1960/45 location and this one on 290. The 290 location has been the better go to. I've also seen another location near nasa area. But we ordered 3LBs of crawfish and 1LB of shrimp boil and it was a 8/10. Flavor was on point but could have been more spicy.but overall still very delicious. Corn and potatoes were good as well. Love how they have a huge red hummer just sitting in the entry lol read more

What a great place to relax with my family and dine. This was a first for me, but my niece has been here more than a couple of times. She was spot on when she said it's like being on the Bayou. It's a true authentic seafood restaurant with all the trimmings, music in the background, fishnets hanging from the ceiling, and the big monstrous truck greeting you at the door. I so much enjoyed the atmosphere, and our waitress was the sweetest. As you can see, we enjoyed the food so much. The Texas combined Louisiana flavors flow through every bite of our food. Sadly every time I come I tend to get my drinks right after my appetizer and or right before my food... which I don't blame the waitress but the bartender as I get he attends his bar first.. but waiting 10-15 min for a beer is crazy. Came in with my parents on Easter Sunday. It's a huge restaurant with plenty of seating so we didn't have to wait to be sat down. It was our first time having a proper seafood boil and for our first experience, not having anything to compare it to beforehand it was pretty good. Visiting over Holiday Season. This is hands down a very good establishment. Restaurant was decorated for holidays and music made atmosphere fun and welcoming. Our server Willy was very attentive and made our visit even better. For drinks I ordered from the bar the Hennessy Lemon drop and Hennessy Boomarita, which were great and strong( no complaints here). For dinner had the lobster tail special, which came in a boil bag, one lobster tail, a cluster of snow crabs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, sausage corn and potatoes. I also added boiled eggs. My sister had the fried shrimp with French fries basket. These were the best fried shrimp I've had in along time and the tartar sauce was phenomenal. Food was good! Service was TERRIBLE!!! We were seated rather quickly, and it went downhill from there. Waited about 45 mins and NOT 1 SINGLE PERSON even came to our table to take our drink/food order. The one server that was on the floor after we arrived was too busy on her phone to help us, but helped another couple seated 2 rows away from us . After waiting, I went to the bar to ask for some assistance. The bartender stepped in to help and took our drink/food order which was great. We ate, and we had to wait AGAIN to get the check‍‍‍!!! It was Monday night and it wasn't busy at all, but EVERY ONE that came in after us, got served and ate before we did. The math DEFINITELY wasn't mathing!!! I cannot lie, I had an extremely long day. I only pulled up here because I know it's a quiet place. However, I am extremely happy I came because Ambrosia made our night! She was polite, well spoken, attentive, and funny. Recommendations for food? She's got it. Recommendations for drinks? She's got it. Table dirty? She's on it! Her spirit was so pleasant that we left her a nice tip. She's young with more sense of customer service than folks twice her age. Oh yeah, shout out to the silent heroes of the night: the cooks. This review has nothing to do with the food. I absolutely love the food! The BAR. I have never been charged for a drink where the tip was included before I could decide on the amount. Maybe at a larger table where the gratuity is included. It was a crowded Saturday early evening, at least a 20 min wait for a table for 2. So we waited near the the bar. I ordered a drink, and just as the bartender brings my drink we're called for our table. I was surprised when she handed me my receipt. She tipped herself! I'm not sure if that's thier policy. There's only an area for EXTRA tip. I didn't add an additional tip. I was only ordering from the bar while i waited on a table to become available. You want to take my drivers license and credit card and hold them in order to be seated and will not return them until after we dine? I don't know what kind of shady scheme or scam this is but restaurants are notorious for skimming credit cards and you want my credit card, ID with my address, date of birth, drivers license # etc and your going to hold onto it until we leave? Service is fast and casually efficient. Ambiance is nautical themed dark wood, nets, and sea critters. The peel and eat shrimp are a family favorite and require a little less effort to eat than steamed crab. But don't overlook the fried stuff on the menu as it's solid as well. CRAWFISH SEASON IS HERE!!! Since it's crawfish season, my daughter recommended this place for a Saturday outing so that we could enjoy some girl time. Firstly, the customer service is okay. The hostess did not greet us when we walked in. She was busy on her phone looking at the seating chart for the dining room area. That's cool and all, but at least greet your customers and let them know that you will be with them momentarily. We stood waiting for about five minutes before she finally acknowledged our presence. I don't mind waiting, but say something for crying out loud. That's a turn off for me. Secondly, after the hostess finally acknowledged us, she found a server to lead us to our table. After we were seated, our waitress came over and took our drink and appetizer orders. She was not friendly at all, but she wasn't rude either. She just had this nonchalant persona like, "I don't want to be here," type of attitude. Anyway, I ignored her attitude and greeted her with the warmest and brightest smiles and hello's, lol. She kind of loosened up after that, and actually displayed something on her face that resembles a smile. Thirdly, for our drinks, we ordered the Hennessy Side Car, the Lemon Drop, and the Hennessy Boomargarita with Tajin! Their drinks are the bees knees y'all! They're strong and tasty. You definitely will get your money's worth. For our appetizer we ordered fried calamari, a bowl of gumbo, and 1/2 dozen of steamed oysters. For our entrees we ordered crawfish of course. I only had one pound but my daughter and my friend ordered the three pound special for $30. Furthermore, the crawfish was good, but tiny. I ordered mine without seasoning and they made it exactly like I ordered it, plain and saltless. My daughter and my friend ordered the garlic butter flavor and they said it was absolutely delicious! They were going all in, licking their fingers and sucking boiled eggs, lol. It was hilarious to watch those two going head over heels for that SALT! The half of steamed oysters that I ordered were not enjoyable at all because they were SALTY as hell! If I had known that they drown the oysters in salt, I would have ordered them without it. As for the gumbo, it tasted like it was straight out of a can, like some Progresso gumbo soup. It looked really good but it was nasty. I am the Queen of Gumbo so my standards are set really high. It doesn't have to taste like my gumbo, but at least have some type of authenticity to it. However, I did enjoy the fried calamari. It was delicious and crunchy! The salt level was perfect. Overall, the dining experience was just okay, but this did not prevent me, my daughter, and my friend from having a great time! Those strong drinks contributed to the laughter and fun we had. Will I ever return? Most likely not. Although I loved their strong drinks, it's not enough to make me wanna go back. Customer service was horrible. I spent $115 for me and my daughter's orders and the only things that I highly enjoyed were the drinks and fried calamari. However, my daughter loves this place for the Lemon Drop drink and the crawfish. So everyone is different, I guess. To each their own. read more

Once seated, it took a bit to be greeted and we were getting ready to leave when a lady approached us and said she wasn't sure where our server had gone but she'll take care of us. I had the shrimp platter and chose the corn on the cob. Good fried shrimp and the corn on the cob was excellent. My wife ordered the crab cakes & fries and she enjoyed her selection. I've visited twice. The crab and shrimp boil was amazing on my first visit but the crawfish on my second visit tasted terrible. It is VERY important to let the crawfish soak after boiling them so the flavor gets inside. They didn't do that. I wondered why they have a no refund sign next to the crawfish sigh. This is for the Craft Crab on 1960 I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I reported them to the health department after witnessing multiple concerns. I later saw a review about a waiter stealing a customer's credit card information, and I personally witnessed a similar incident-- a waitress attempted to walk toward the kitchen with a customer's card until the customer demanded it back. Unfortunately, I didn't see the review until after my visit. On top of that, I found long hair in my boil bag, the customer service was awful, and the staff seemed uninterested in being there. The strong odor upon entering was off-putting, but things only went downhill from there. Lastly, I do not recommend ordering a Sidecar--the drink was terrible and possibly made with low-quality alcohol. I considered asking for a manager, but after seeing the table across from us--a very kind family--do so, I decided against it. They raised concerns about the quality and accuracy of their food, but the Asian manager immediately dismissed their complaint, accusing them of lying before they could fully explain. At that point, I chose to pay in cash, leave, and not take any of the unfinished food with me. While the seasoning was decent, the overall quality of the food, drinks, and service was disappointing. Last week I decided to give the jersey Village location a chance to redeem themselves, it's been over a year or more since I've visited this location. I honestly don't understand how they stay open. From the other reviews about the poor service, to the poor quality food anyway, I decided to give them another shot tonight. They failed miserably. I walked in, they were moderately busy but not slammed by any means. Waitresses on their phones staring out the doors etc. I was seated as soon as I walked in and that's where things went downhill rather quickly. I sat there and sat there after 2 waitresses brought food to other tables around me, not so much as a hi, how are you or any acknowledgement from either of them. I sat there another 5 or so minutes and still nothing. So I got up, went to the front area and told them why I was leaving. They were more worried about where I sat. This from the same person who had taken me to the table. It is ridiculous, the food and service used to be the best around when they first opened. I will not be returning to this location in Jersey Village. There are too many other places that serve you and want your money. I would suggest finding elsewhere to eat. read more
