We came here for our 6th anniversary & our initial service was lacking. We didn't get offered drinks & we got the feeling we were kind of annoying to our server when we asked questions. Then we kept getting passed up by the servers with the meat. Then BRANDON! He turned our experience around!! He answered our questions, explained the meat ordering experience, followed up with us, literally hunted people down for us . He's for sure one of the best servers we have ever had & couldn't recommend him enough. Carlos, one of the managers (I think?) was also very very helpful & went above and beyond for us as well. Impeccable service by the staff at Fogo de Chao! It was difficult to get everyone's names, but shoutout to Will (server), Analee & Enrique (meat carver) were the ones I was able to get, but the entire team took care of my party today. I also appreciate meeting the restaurant manager, Rafael, making our experience exceptional. The food was great as always, some of our all time favorites are the picanha, lamb chops, ribeye, grilled pineapple, and Brazilian cheese. To update from my last review, we were able to try all the meats offered on their dinner service today and that's THE experience. This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego to dine at, especially on special occasions. Today's parking was tricky because of the padres game, but it's worth looking for to dine here. All filler, no killer. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. The cheapest churrasco dinner option is $77 per person. They claim to offer "continuous" premium Brazilian cuts. Everything listed on the menu is beef or chicken. But the first thing they offer (in addition to all the cheap bread filler) is a cheap pork sausage. And then Parmesan pork. And then shrimp cocktail. Where are the premium cuts of steak listed on the menu? Oh yes, they bring those out every ten minutes and give you a tiny sliver of meat. This place is basically a glorified salad bar. $77 for all you can eat salad, cheesy bread, pork sausage, shrimp, and maybe one or two cuts of steak. I think the picanha was the only decent cut of meat. Lots of fat, lots of burnt parts in the rest. If I had set aside all the meat they gave me and told someone this was $77 they wouldn't believe me. The service was horrible all around, from the unhappy host, to the unhappy main server, to everyone who brought out meat. I literally had to ask every single person to repeat what cut was being offered because they all spoke so solemnly and looked irritated when I clarified. When bringing out the dessert, the server didn't bring an extra plate when it's clear we are sharing, and set both forks on my side of the table. Then even though I handed her the bill and my credit card, she leaves it on my partners side of the table. These are simple service tasks that just aren't getting done right. Let's not forget their pressure to donate. They asked twice. Once when we sat down by the server, then a manager came by when we were done and asked again for a donation! Dear lord! Just stop with the guilt people. It's not even just a good hearted donation but a promotion to get $25 off TWO churrasco meals. So you donate $5 just to get $25 off a $154 dinner. It's not a donation for hungry kids, it's a gift card to get you to come back and blow your money once more on this overpriced joke of an establishment. Oh and the ice cream was melted by the time you brought out dessert, which looked horrible compared to your other photos of chocolate lava cake. Never again. As noted below, I did email my number and no one has called or left a message. So I have no desire to change my review. I am considering lowering it to one star at this point. We went for my husband's birthday dinner after the Padres game. I will say that they were accommodating about taking us early for our reservation. However, we had made a reservation through one of their specials in their email but the waitress knew nothing about it. My husband had the indulgent deal with the various cuts of meat with the dessert. I did not. Rather I picked a dinner with one cut of meat which I was told would be 8-10 oz of meat. I was absolutely fine with that. However, the servers kept asking me if I wanted more meat, which I did not accept due to the meal I chose. But when I asked to take the rest of my meat home, I was told I was not allowed. That makes no sense. I bought a specific meal with an amount certain of meat but was not allowed to take home the rest of it. In addition, the waitress asked my husband if there was any special cut of meat he was wanting and waiting for. He told her...three times. It finally showed up AFTER his dessert arrived. We went around 7PM on a Friday night with a reservation. We usually only come to this place whenever they have the Best of Brazil deal. Overall the food is great especially if you get the ones that you like. Unfortunately didn't take much pics of the food because I was enjoying the food and experience. Food: We ordered the Best of Brazil deal and it's all you can eat with the meats listed with the deal. My favorite was picanha but some of the other meats they had were good too. There is also a salad bar where you get the plates and your greens. Most were cold items and the time I went to get my plate the line for the salad bar was a bit long. They also had table side cheese bread which was delicious as well. Service: Staff are around a lot cutting the meat for you and if the meat is not at the level of doneness you want then they will bring it back to hopefully get a skewer to your preferred doneness. Our server originally didn't know that they had the Best of Brazil deal so we thought we were paying more but then notified us that they did have the deal and added us to it. Ambiance: The place has a dim lighting vibe of a fancy steakhouse. Seatings were a bit close to other tables and can feel squeezed in from where we sat. The food was delicious as always, which honestly makes this review even more disappointing. We went with family and friends to celebrate my brother's birthday, and what started as a great experience quickly went downhill. Apparently our server was switched at some point and there was zero communication to us. We were left waiting for things for uncomfortably long periods of time, including waiting over 30 minutes for water. With this being a self serve concept and the churrascos walking around throughout the meal, a big part of the server's responsibility is still drinks, clearing plates, and taking care of the things you need at the table. My mom ordered an actual entree and our original server was on top of everything, so the difference was very noticeable. A handful of us in the group either work or have worked in the restaurant industry, so we understand that things happen. What we didn't understand was the lack of communication and follow through. At one point we were basically trying to get someone's attention just to be acknowledged. It also became pretty clear that the staff had not communicated that we were there celebrating a birthday. Of course we don't expect special treatment just because it's a celebration, but some basic acknowledgment would have been nice. The icing on the cake was watching the servers try to explain the situation to the manager, only for him to basically run off instead of addressing it. Thankfully we didn't let the experience ruin my brother's birthday, but it definitely took away from what should have been a special dinner. The food is still great, but service matters, especially when you're spending this much on a meal. We've frequented Fogo de Chão in Illinois as it is close to my family's house and they are even part of the rewards programs. Thus moving to San Diego and having in-laws here we thought we would expect the same level of service and quality at this Fogo de Chão location. We've been here a few times this year already; a couple times for special occasions as well: my birthday (Sunday brunch) and my mother in law's birthday (on a Saturday night). Here's what we saw: bad and SLOW service - the guy pouring water for our group seemed to get upset each time we would ask but we had been waiting for a long time, even already having our food and not having water. The meat service was very slow as well. For a while it seemed like no one came around. We had to ask the servers many times for the meat to come around. Some servers like Nathaniel seemed very friendly and he tried for some items but we still didn't get everything we requested. Maybe they were understaffed? (I'm still waiting for my bottom tri-tip and my husband still wanted more lamb). Some servers we straight rude like the water guy and another server that came up to our table to ask us if we wanted anything else but when we did ask about the status of a drink we already ordered he said "I don't know; I'm not your server." Parking is rough on a Saturday night. Park It on Market was completely full and not taking any other cars and street parking was limited to 2 hours. Parking was better on Sunday morning for brunch. The restaurant is not as big nor lavishly decorated as other locations like in Illinois. For a chain, you'd think the experience would be consistent and that is why I bring this up. This San Diego location is decorated more dark and dungeon-y (some call it ambiance but it made the restaurant look old and outdated) while other Fogo de Chão locations we've been to are bright, welcoming, airy, lots of light, and have ample parking. The San Diego location is also rather small and only one level. It feels cramped inside with no established paths for walking. You're always bumping into people getting to the salad bar or the bathroom. We had a few elderly with us and they had a hard time walking to the bathroom. A wheelchair would definitely have a hard time navigating through the restaurant. The salad buffet is smaller and there isn't such a lavish offering for Sunday brunch. We were very disappointed though we gave this San Diego Gaslamp location a few chances. It's a lot of money to spend to go to Fogo de Chão to get an experience less than what you were expecting of this chain. Hoping this location can step up its' game and/or they get a renovation. read more

My sister and I came to their bar area for drinks and food before our comedy show. Romeo helped us and gave amazing service! Funny, tentative, and made sure we were taking care of! We both had a the steak with chimmichuri a MUST try! Delicious! Drinks were great too! The restaurant area always has a wait but we love going to the bar area. We came to Fogo de Chão to escape the Comic-Con crowds, and I'm so glad we did. I had only heard about their happy hour, but it completely exceeded my expectations. The $10 picanha burger was the highlight of the meal. It was huge, cooked perfectly, and incredibly juicy. I honestly couldn't believe they were serving a burger of that quality for only $10. It's easily one of the best happy hour deals I've found. We also ordered the giant beef rib instead of the filet mignon. The beef rib was tender, flavorful, and definitely worth trying, but after seeing the filet on other tables, we'll be ordering that next time. The only item I probably wouldn't get again was the sauced chicken legs. They were good, but the sauce overpowered the chicken, so that's mostly what I tasted. The $10 cocktails were another pleasant surprise. They were well-made, refreshing, and a great value. One thing we really appreciated was the atmosphere. Since this location isn't right in the middle of the Gaslamp, it felt much more relaxed and quieter than the surrounding area, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day at Comic-Con. The service was also fantastic. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and our server checked in on us several times without ever making us feel rushed. Overall, Fogo de Chão's happy hour is an incredible value. Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and a calm atmosphere make this an easy place to recommend. My hubby enjoyed his birthday lunch at Fogo de Chão, located in downtown San Diego, CA. We enjoyed the all-you-can-eat meat carved table side and salad bar. We tried about 15 different meats that were seasoned well. For dessert, we enjoyed the creme brûlée and key lime pie with an espresso coffee. This Brazilian steakhouse location is our favorite in the area it never disappoints. The service is always excellent and the restaurant is nice and clean. I've come here for their full course meal before and it was a fun experience, but pricey. At my most recent visit my freind and I sat at their bar. Ty we have a separate bar menu that also includes some whole meals. My favorite things is the grilled cheese and honey. Their cheese bread is pretty addicting too! We also got their empanadas and chicken sliders and both were enjoyable. I enjoyed my cocktail as well. The waiter was nice, and it had a nice, high end atmosphere. What a great experience at this restaurant. While I have been a Fogo rewards member and lover of the brand, the service at this place was on point and superb! From entering we were welcomed with a smile and all throughout the churrasco experience, the gauchos were attentive, engaging and friendly. Even when it was an hour before closing time that we showed up, the staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The food is always amazing and the meats hot and with all cooked terms. Had an okay time at Fogo de Chão - I mainly felt like the meat service and meat quality was a little lacking, especially considering how much the AYCE pricing is. There were multiple times throughout the night when a server would come with a piece of meat, serve about 1/2 or 3/4ths of the table, and then say that they'll come back, despite there still being meat on the stick. The only issue is, many people at my table didn't feel like they actually came back. It was a bit frustrating to be told "I'll come back" only for them not to come back, and when they did come back it felt like it was part of their normal rotation, and not a continuation of their visit to the table. This was especially frustrating for me because my position at the table happened to always be the seat where they would take away the meat. I didn't want to fill up at the salad bar, so for what felt like about 15-20 minutes of the beginning of my dining experience I barely had any meat service. In my opinion, certain cuts of the meat were not great - the parmesan steak in particular. I took a bite and felt like it was all fat. The meats were also quite salty for my taste. The cheese bread is very yummy, a shining star in the midst of a somewhat underwhelming experience. My party either parked on the street (paid) or did garage parking (paid, no validation). I'm a bit surprised that there were seemingly no free/validated parking options to my knowledge. I think the rest of my party had a better time than I did, and I appreciated that they gave a complimentary dessert for the birthdays we were celebrating. read more

The service is great! This is why they get 3 stars. Ive been here before a long time ago and other locations. Im not a big fan of the meat selections and its awfully bland, but the service is well worth the experience. This location has a nice wine room. Its nicely set up for such a small room. The tables in the restaurant are too close to each other. I suppose they are just trying to scoot as much customers as they can. The pricing is ok. Its a bit pricy for the quality of meat. 70$ per person for dinner and weekends for their lower package experience and 92$ for the upgraded. You get lobster here and bone marrow. You also have servers walking around serving cocktails at an additional charge for a more "enhanced" experience. You can also get empenada like appetizers for additional costs as well. The buffet line filled with salads, fruits, charcuterie is underwhelming. The corn chowder is watery, the asparagus is undercooked. I do have some qualms about the buffet selections. Also the plates were dirty. I picked up a plate and if my husband didn't point out it was stained completely with sauce, I would have used it! They have some good steaks like ribeye and some good cuts of lamb. It isn't gamy, but you can smell that it IS lamb. My issue is this: they kept coming around with top sirloin and bacon wrapped beef, but only ONE time with the ribeye. Even with the one time, we had to ask for it. Don't get me wrong, the servers and cutters came around often and were excellent in service, but the same cuts of meat were the ones that frequently showed up. I really cant say enough about the attentive service and how friendly and a pleasure the servers and managers and leads were. It was one of the best experiences I had with restaurant service. If it had not been the rare appearance of the ribeye, I would have enjoyed the food more. If the plates were clean at the buffet line, id be more generous in my score. read more

I hate to even write this review because our servers were absolutely wonderful. Tracy, Gabriella, and Julian truly delivered excellent service. They were attentive, kind, professional, and genuinely warm. They were the highlight of our entire evening and did everything right. Unfortunately, aside from the service, this visit to Fogo de Chao downtown San Diego was a major disappointment. I took my daughter there for her 18th birthday so it was a special occasion. I was so bummed that she didn't get to experience the Fogo that I grew to love over the years. I've been to Fogo many times and have always enjoyed it but this experience just didn't live up to the standard I've come to know and expect. The quality and flavor of the meat were noticeably off this time. Nothing stood out and several cuts were lacking. It simply didn't taste like the Fogo I know. On top of that, it took forever for the meat to come around. Yes, it was busy but when you're paying this much you expect the skewers to keep coming. Plus it was a weekend so they should expect it to be busy and plan accordingly. We had to ask several times for meat to be brought to our table. It wasn't the waiters fault, there simply wasn't enough meat for all of the people that were there and it was taking a very long time for it to come out of the kitchen. Even after being there for quite a while and taking our time to enjoy dinner, we still didn't get to try everything because not all of the selections ever made it to our table. That alone was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for the price point. The mashed potatoes were especially disappointing. They used to be one of my favorite sides but now they taste like boxed mashed potatoes, gritty, watered down, and honestly pretty gross. A huge downgrade from what they used to be. Why Fogo? Makes no sense. Even the overall vibe felt different. The restaurant just didn't have the same atmosphere or energy it once did. The ambiance felt off and we just weren't vibing the way we used to. It was also extremely loud in there and I couldn't hear the people at my table let alone the servers. There were three of us for dinner and our bill was well over $300. For that price you expect top tier food and a seamless dining experience. Unfortunately, Fogo no longer feels like you get what you pay for. Overall this was a major letdown. I'm really sad my daughter didn't have a great experience for her 18th birthday. The only saving grace was the incredible service from Tracy, Gabriella, and Julian, they truly deserve recognition. I really wish the food and overall experience had matched their level of excellence. I will no longer be suggesting Fogo as a dining option as I always have in the past. I came here with my friend for the Wine and Wagyu Bar Fogo event. This event was 49 dollars and includes quite a bit of food! The event included choice of three wines. I chose the rose, red blend eulila, & milla calla wines. There were some bar bites which included the queijo assado, Brazilian deviled eggs, Brazilian empanadas, and bacon wrapped chicken. They actually came back twice with the chicken! Of course the stars of the show were the Bone in beef ancho and the Wagyu Ancho. Hands down, the Wagyu was the best of all! You get a decent slice of beef to savor with the rest of your meal. Lastly, we had a creamy chocolate mousse to finish our meal! Thankfully we were able to take our leftovers home! The cheese bread is so good and the brûlée cheesecake was a nice finish (I'm a cheesecake person). Overall, the food was good but the price feels really high for what you get. For nearly half the cost, I can get AYCE KBBQ with meats that are just as (if not more) flavorful. I have been coming here for years and can't get enough. I surprised my son with a Padres game but before we got to the ballpark, we stopped here for dinner. It's probably a good idea that we had great seats for the game because we'd probably still be at the restaurant ordering more picana meat rounds. Even though all restaurants are more expensive post-covid, I think that this place is still reasonably priced for what you get. People complaining about the cost are crazy. I was at Costco today and rib eyes were nearly $20lb (which is also crazy when it used to be $8 pre-covid). Anyway.... We did our round at the salad bar so we could justify the meat coma we were about to enter in to and put my cardiologist on call. After we were done with salad and vegetables it was "Go Time". We tried everything and some meats more than once. Love the filet, ribeye, picana and of course, anything wrapped in bacon. This is such a great place. I took a couple of friends for lunch at this place and they absolutely loved it. José was amazing! Super attentive and provided the best service you can ask for. The salad bar was ok. I missed the quail eggs and palm hearts like they have it in Brazil, but they did bring me some palm hearts to the table. My friends LOVED the picanha and the fried cheese the most. September 17th Thursday 7pm. The service is mid. Mind you this is for a friends birthday celebration. Our waiter, Kenny? (guy with blue shirt and brown hair) would walk right past us, didnt even bat an eye to serve us our proper utensils and water was served 30 minutes into seating. We were here for around 2 1/2 hours and barely served anything. The guys serving the meat did a more fantastic job and all they did was cut was meat for us. We didn't feel welcomed at all. We had dinner at Fogo de Chão for the first time to celebrate my birthday, as a party of 3 adults. The hostess greeted us and asked "How are you guys?" and my polite and friendly response was, "We're good, how are you?" She then asked if we had a reservation and I confirmed. Then she said, "You don't have to ask how I'm doing." This was extremely off putting and felt rude. We were seated at the table closest to the market table and we were greeted by our server Michael. He had a sense of humor and was making lots of jokes, and he shared that he does standup comedy and some acting as well. We enjoyed this energy at first and then we noticed a shift throughout the evening. When it came time to order, we let him explain and run us through the menu selections. I shared that we wanted to do the Best of Brazil menu for $54 each because I was seeing this across multiple promotional advertisements on social media, to which he replied, "Oh, well you could have told me instead of letting me talk for 2 and a half minutes." We couldn't read if this was his sense of humor or whether he really meant that he was annoyed or irritated. Despite his intention, this felt rude and that we were a burden. All the selections of meats we were served were dry, burnt, crispy, overcooked, under seasoned. Michael mentioned that we would have choices regarding doneness and that simply wasn't true. It was long periods of waiting between the different cuts, so it was wise to accept each offering or else we wouldn't be served much protein. We only got to try a fraction of the meats offered on the menu. We also noticed the larger party seated in front of us being offered selections more frequently. I want to note that they were seated after us and despite this, they also ended their meal quite a while before us. Our server Michael seemed like he was assigned multiple tasks as he only checked on us a few times throughout dinner. He apologized for my dad's beer order being missed multiple times, and he offered a second free dessert in addition to my complimentary birthday dessert. Later into the meal when Michael was walking past after serving the larger party the grilled pineapple, I flagged him down and I wanted ask to make sure that he wasn't kidding about the second free dessert. To my inquiry he replied, "Well I can't help you if you don't tell me what you want to order." Again, even if this was intended as humor, it did not come across that way and felt rude and dismissive. Just as it was throughout the evening, the desserts took an extended period of time to be served and only just came out around closing time. Other parties celebrating a birthday were sang to, I believe by staff, and that was not the case for me. I had a $25 birthday reward for signing up for the rewards program and Michael didn't remember to apply it before dropping off the check which was fine, but when he did he had to change one of the Best of Brazil menus to a Full Churrasco to be able to apply the reward. He mentioned that we would be saving $7-$8, and I asked to please apply that change. He did not express any sentiments towards that but returned to the computer to do so, and then he dropped off the check once more. We asked for a box for our leftover dessert multiple times and when it looked like he was finally bringing one, it was for the table of three women sitting near us on the other side of the pillar. Michael was noticeably more friendly and chattier with this table, he took his time with them knowing we were waiting for things, and he even greeted them warmly when they left, referring to personal details shared in their conversation and even personably greeting one as "mija." When he finally returned to set down our paid bill to return our card and provide the receipts to sign, he did not say anything at all. He did not thank us, he didn't greet me happy birthday, and there were no remarks or sentiments at all. I'd like to share that the service for our table was so delayed and slow that we were there for our 7:00pm reservation and we did not leave until closing. We spent more than 3 hours dining because of the slow service, with our receipt documenting 10:13pm. This was $220+ dinner for 3 people at a white table cloth restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. This was our first time at Fogo de Chão and at any Brazilian steakhouse in general, and we found this experiencing disappointing. This dinner was on Monday, September 21 and the restaurant was mostly empty. We left angry, dissatisfied, and we will never willingly return on our own again. First time visit. I do not know why I never tried this place. We had the indulgent churrasco meal. You cannot pass up on paying a set price of having the experience of meat cut right at your table. We chose lobster tails as appetizers and they were juicy then headed to the salad bar to start off. Back at the table there were so many choices of meat. Cut and grilled to perfection. My favorites were the filet mignon and pork belly. Our servers were Shantel and Nathan. Great attitudes. Both were efficient and multi tasked to make everything smooth. read more

I've heard about this place numerous times, I finally found the time to make it down and was very excited to try it. That excitement was quickly stone walled when the first cut came to the table and was extremely overcooked and dry. I was surprised that they would have brought something out like that and it just got worse from there.....the next 4-5 cuts that came out were either dry, had fat that hadn't rendered and just became chewy and the worst was the amount of meat that came out that had a char on it....and I don't mean a good char it felt like I was chewing charcoal. I want to say the last 15 minutes we were there some good cuts started to come out, but even in the cuts that were edible, they're not letting the fat break down and render properly creating a rubbery texture. I even had a piece I took with my fingers and tried to tear, it was too tough. Very disappointing experience. read more

Booked a reservation on OpenTable for an anniversary dinner. I didn't know that the day of my reservation (Veterans Day) would be one of the most busiest days for Fogo de Chao due to their military promotion. The line was out the door and the front of the entrance near the hostess stand was quite chaotic reservation or not. When we finally walked over to our table, the restaurant was completely packed! I was disappointed that upon arrival, the hostess and servers weren't aware of a special occasion reservation. We were seated amid very large parties and the seating felt cramped. Other requests such as refills and bread were forgotten about amongst multiple servers. The customer service experience wasn't what I expected but the quality of food was there--favorites being the Picanha, filet mignon, cheese bread, top sirloin, and ample choices at their salad bar. read more

Updated review to 5 stars! 3rd time back and I have to say completely improved and perfect 5 star service is back. From the time we were greeted from the host (possible manager) everyone had a smile were very friendly and nice. We were quickly seated after a short visit to the bar for a drink. I have to tell you the food was amazing and delicious just as Fogo De Chao reputation supercedes it. Top notch all the way around food. Place was very clean and lively. Food was served quickly and there was non of the long waits from a previous visit. Everyone was on it and did a fabulous job and the reason I have completely changed my previous review. Totally different level of service this time and I have to say we were impressed and will return many times again. Thank you and great job management! Servers were awesome! read more

Husband's beer that we ordered with dinner finally came just before we ordered dessert. Then we waited and waited for dessert to come - thought they forgot. Came here for my son's birthday. The service was OK. The Emmi was always the same but the food has really gone downhill. We did that $49 special that they have on Instagram. You only get like seven cuts which is fine that's a lot of food they did raise the prize for the buffet 37which for that price I might as well just gotten to me even though I am Kenny eat meat right now. I can't process it overall. The experience is whatever they didn't give us all the accrued amounts that they usually give the buffet felt a little cheap lots of cheap items that would put on there so honestly, I don't think I'll be going back to Fogo de ciao it's not really worth even at $49. It really wasn't worth that meats also were fatty so wasn't the best that I thought it used to be a really good once upon a time they've gone downhill since then. read more

The ambiance at Fogo de Chão was great, and the bussers and other hosts were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was really affected by the service from the people walking around with the meats. We had a white gentleman sitting directly in front of us, and it honestly felt like the servers went to him like magnets while repeatedly dismissing our table. We made it very clear that we wanted to be served, yet they continued to walk right past us. At one point, a busser actually had to keep reminding the people carrying the meats to come over and serve us, and even after being told, one of them still never came to our table. It honestly felt like favoritism, and regardless of the reason, it came across as a serious lack of customer service. We shouldn't have to repeatedly ask to receive the same service that other guests were receiving. I do want to give credit to Manuel, who works in customer service and also our server because they were both helpful and actually made an effort to assist us. The bussers were also nice and tried to help. Overall, the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere, but the experience with the meat servers was disappointing and made us feel overlooked. I hope management addresses this because every customer should feel equally welcomed and attended to. read more

Made an 11:30 reservation for lunch here via OpenTable. We were the first customers to arrive upon opening, and waited several minutes before someone came to the host stand to acknowledge us. We opted for the weekday gaucho lunch special ($18), which was their market table/salad bar and also included sides such as their cheese & honey, plantains, and Brazilian cheese bread. For an additional fee, we decided to get picanha, which we were told we would get 4-5 servings of. For the most part, the employees were attentive. However one (the manager we assumed) seemed to have a bit of an attitude, asking how many times we were given meat and when we said 2, we were told we only get one more serving (he was the one who had told us we would get 4-5!) and he would send someone over with the picanha. Other than that, we had a lovely lunch and enjoyed the food. Later that afternoon, I received an email from OpenTable stating that I did not honor my reservation. I was able to click a link to update my attendance status, and OpenTable sent another email stating "we apologize for the confusion and have worked with the restaurant to make sure their records are accurate." As an OpenTable user, I just found out no-shows are not a good thing to have on your account, as your account may be deactivated. read more

My wife and daughter were shopping in North Park so I took a small walk to Fogo on a busy Sunday. Never been here for brunch, but the only difference was some breakfast items at the salad bar and the addition of some brunch cocktails. The food was great as usual and teamwork-driven customer service was top notch. My server, Josh, was especially epic in this regard as my water glass, bread bowl, sauces, and cocktail glass was always full! He also did a great job of directing meat skewers my way! Best Fogo experience yet! By the way, the $10 Gold Rush cocktail was a great pairing with all this meat! read more
