The meat rotation is fast, and everything was actually hot and perfectly cooked, the picanha and the lamb chops were incredible. Usually, at these places, you fill up on the cheese bread, but the quality of the steaks made it worth saving room. Even the salad bar had better high-end stuff like candied bacon and good cheeses. Service was fast, attentive, and they kept checking in to see if there were specific cuts we were waiting on. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for a special night out where everyone leaves stuffed and happy, it's worth it.

I have been to numerous Brazilian steakhouses and I have had issues with how often the Gauchos attend our table but NOT here! They are always at your service and willing to help you with whatever you need! Feel free to request anything you want and they will bring it to you! The salad and tapas bar is also a plus. Stop by here after your visit to seaport village!

We came on a Sunday mid morning and since we had lunch plans later, we only snacked on a bit of the food. Service was super welcoming and inviting. It was like visiting a family member's or friend's home. Lady was super nice. Ambiance is very casual and you can tell that this is a community favorite too. Food came out quickly and was fresh. We got the: 1) Coxinha: -This is a popular Brazilian street food which is a deep fried croquette with chicken and cream cheese. -Delicious, light breading and the potato part is fluffy and the chicken is moist and all of the filling is plentiful and seasoned to perfection. We also got to try this with their home made chili sauce, nice delicious heat. Good stuff. 2) Pao de Queijo: -A MUST for my friend and I whenever I see them available. -Super yummy Brazilian cheese bread. I love the delicately light crisp from the exterior, slightly chewy dough, and of course the cheese inside. -Addicting and delicious snack. I can easily munch down several of these and the quality is good here too, especially since it's made fresh! We also got the bottled juices, imported in from Brazil. Mango and guava were like nectar juices, super yummy and the pistachio one was pretty unique. Our table also ordered the Brazilian lime alcoholic drink, but as a non drinker, I can't comment on this. Definitely would like to come back here again the next time we're in SD.

The restaurant was spacious, well-lit, and very clean. The gaucho chefs were attentive and constantly came table side with a variety of delectable meats that were perfectly seasoned. They had a lot of options at the hot/cold bar to accompany the meats as well as sauces for the meats that I actually haven't had at other Brazilian steakhouses. The only minor complaint we had was that our drinks took a while to arrive and we were wondering if they had forgotten, but they eventually came halfway through the meal. I would've minded more if I didn't already have water and if it wasn't an AYCE buffet so I'll let it slide. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant because the quality of the meats and the friendliness of the chefs made it a wonderful experience. They always had a smile on their faces and were great at explaining the different cuts as well as asking us if we prefer any specific cut. I absolutely hate places that only bring Picanha around once in a while, but in my experience here, they were very accommodating to bring what we craved.

From the moment we walked up, you could feel the energy. Novo is part restaurant, part sports bar, part massive block party, and somehow it pulls all three off perfectly. High-quality LCD screens are everywhere, so there's actually not a bad seat in the house, whether you're on the sprawling patio or enjoying the spacious indoor area. The vibe is electric without feeling chaotic, and it's family-friendly too. The food and drinks matched the energy. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor, and the cocktails were clearly crafted with care. There's something for everyone on the menu, which made ordering for our group a breeze. A tremendous shout-out to Madison, who took great care of us and made the entire visit feel personal, attentive, warm, and just plain fun. Honestly, the entire staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, and happy we were too. Add in free, easy parking, and Novo checks every box. If you haven't been yet, go. Have to give a big shoutout to our server, Olympia, who always provides exceptional service. I've been here for a few UFC fight nights and the times I've gone, they didn't charge a cover fee which is nice. Onto the food and drinks, I think Novo has the best non-alcoholic Kombuchas in the city and I don't drink alcohol, so I won't comment on that. The food is great quality and tastes delicious but the only complaint (which is why I didn't give 5 stars) is because for the price they charge, the portion is extremely stingy. I'm sure that's not a kitchen thing, but more of management. My favorite is the Mac and cheese with Brazilian sauce served in a cast iron skillet, definitely on the list of best Mac and cheeses. I would recommend you check it out, happy Yelping!
