Overall, this was a wonderful visit. We came on a Wednesday night mid week. The vibe here is great. They have exquisite and intimate dining with lowered lighting. The tables are set very elegantly and very upscale. They also had a Grammy award-winning Pianist performing on the night that we attended. From start to finish, our meal service was absolutely exquisite and 5 star. The treatment of the staff was immaculate, and we felt super cared for as customers. The fresh salad bar with so many options was delicious. They also had an area for soups and salmon to the side of the salad bar. Every cut of meat presented to us was very high-quality and cooked perfectly. Seasoning was on point plus everything was delicious and moist. I absolutely appreciated the rotating carving staff that came by with meat, they were very customer service oriented. The "Golden Steak" wrapped in edible 24k gold foil table side service is included in the meal. The carver cooks it to your desired level tableside. It was wonderful. The dessert of molten chocolate cake is THE best dessert, and one that I have not had in a long time. This is one of my favorite desserts and the fact that they have it at this steakhouse will definitely bring me back. My Husband and I absolutely enjoyed this meal and it was well worth the $77/person for the all you can eat dinner + salad bar. My glass of Belle Glos Pinot Noir with dinner was fantastic as well. The only problem this evening was that we decided, after dessert, to go sit in the bar to listen to the Pianist after dinner. We ordered two drinks to have at the bar, but unfortunately, after about 15 minutes, the drinks never came out so we ended up leaving. It worked out well because the Pianist was also leaving so...otherwise it was an excellent experience.

BB,…read more a couple that are our friends, and I went to Rei De Gado on a Saturday evening to celebrate. The food was just as good as I remember. I got some caesar salad and tomatoes/burata as palate cleansers, and went to town on the meat. Some of my favorites this time around were garlic top sirloin, picanha, and of course, ribeye. I usually skip anything non beef but I tried the sausage, which was made in-house and was fantastic. The meats were all served a perfect rare or medium rare as preferred. I probably had about 20 cuts of meat before I tapped out. Service was amazing! One of the gauchos (meat servers), Doug, made the experience even better than it was. He was friendly, had a great attitude, and asked us if there was anything we wanted more of specifically. When I told him, he made sure to have another gaucho come out quickly with the meat of choice. Give that man a raise! Also shouting out to Cecilia, our waitress, who was also great. She provided prompt service and great conversation without being intrusive, and even brought out a free dessert for the occassion! Just all around a great group of people working here to compliment the great food. Definitely will be returning! Pro-tip: There is an entrance to Horton Plaza self-parking that is right across the street. 12 dollars for 3 hours of parking with validation. Make sure to scan the barcode in rear, as initially when I scanned the front, the 27 dollar fee popped up until I rescanned the back.

The servers were attentive and checked in on us frequently. The food is typical American bar fare. Smash burgers and sandwiches were popular choices. I opted for the poke bowl, which was reasonably priced. However, I might go for the poke nachos next time. The poke bowl had a lot of onions, and the sauce was a bit teriyaki-like. My friends enjoyed the burgers, smash burgers, and French fries. The portion sizes were perfect for individual servings. They have a kid's menu on the kids' coloring page, and they provide crayons for the kids. I also tried their kombuchas, which are around ABV 6%. I tried the dragon fruit kombucha, which had an amazing pink-purple color and smelled like dragon fruit. It wasn't overly sweet and had low carbonation. I recommend asking the servers for recommendations to suit your taste. The indoor space is cooler and spacious, making it great for gatherings. There were many family and friend gatherings here. You can grab a drink and let the kids run around. I also appreciate that they accept reservations on OpenTable, which is perfect for planning large group gatherings. They have a happy hour from 12 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, which I'll definitely check out. There's plenty of parking at the Mission Valley Mall. There's a small lot nearby or the parking structure. Note that the mall has been renovated over the last couple of years and looks amazing. You can make a whole day out of it by coming here for lunch or dinner, then spending some time at the mall or getting errands done at Target nearby.

It was some of the best prepared yucca fries I've had. To drink I ordered the Ipanema IPA which was super smooth. However, the service, although friendly, was disorganized. My sister did not receive her entree until almost all of us had finished eating. And when my brother in law received his California burrito, he had requested no pico. The server marked "no pickle" (which wasn't been listed in the ingredients anyways). They were apologetic and took it back, assuring us that it would be back out "in like 2 minutes". It took quite a bit longer than that and he ended up eating later than the rest of our party too. It wasn't the end of the world but it was inconvenient. Overall, we did enjoy our food and brews.

Beer is pretty good also. Nice big space with lots of seating. Today, everything seemed to go normally until I asked for our check from our waitress. There was an issue earlier with an order but it was resolved (delivered wrong order). When we were done eating, I asked our waitress for the check. 10-15 min later, nothing. Our table had already been cleaned off. Kids getting restless. I'd observed our waitress at the bar sitting down flipping through her phone for quite some time. I walked up to bar and really did ask nicely for the check again from her. Our waitress said "I'm on break." I was surprised because she didn't tell us that she was going on break or who our new waiter was. I asked again...very nicely really...she again said "I'm on break" and continued flipping through her phone. I had to go find another waitress and ask for the check. Thankfully, this other waitress was really nice. I told her what had happened and she said she would talk to the manager. The manager was very polite and apologized for the waitress and tried to make things better. Really liked coming to this place but don't think I want to spend my hard earned money here to be treated like that.
