I am happy I decided to lunch here before our movie at AMC. So convenient and you can't beat the beer choices! I literally don't know where you will find such a great selection. And they serve it in the really large glass actually and there is ample space to have a party. Maybe on my birthday? I ordered the simple Caesar and the garlic noodles with some salmon on the side for an extra 7.50 and it was such a great portion and so good! Service at the bar is faster but budget about an hour and a half before your movie. Sit and people watch or watch sports.
Decided to come here because we had horrible service at BJ's so we came here to get a late night bite. We were seated right away and the place was packed because everybody was watching FIFA. We got a booth right across from the bar and it was nice because it was so lively and entertaining. They also had really good music playing in the background which added to the vibe. Our server was very nice. She came and took our order and also answered any questions that we had about any food items. We ordered spinach dip for the table, and it comes with these really hot and warm tortilla chips. We enjoyed that. We ordered a sandwich, a Caesar salad with avocado added, and fish and chips. Everything was delicious. For drinks: Booze Free Mojito, Another mocktail with pineapple, and a sprite. Everything was well prepared and delicious. We really enjoyed our dining here. The only thing I have to say is that I wish they would clean the booths underneath a little bit more. The whole time I dined I felt just dirt and debris under my feet under the booth, but otherwise everything was great.

Whoever is hiring and/or training the waitstaff at this Yard House is doing a great job. From the hostess who greeted us with a smile despite the all day World Cup fans line and sat us at a lovely booth to the two waiters who both provided very pleasant and prompt service throughout, the service here was well above bar compared to other SD spots in this category. Half price HH food deals and $2 off all draft beers was the lure for us, and the two Belgian taps that I tried really delivered. Unfortunately, the food was a let down. The onion ring tower was composed of sad, soft and underseasoned specimens. I appreciated that the HH tenders could be ordered as a Gardein veg version, which was decent but the accompanying fries tasted like they'd been sitting out too long. However, I did really enjoy the honey mustard sauce here. I sum, while the food was either just ok or total miss here, the excellent service and solid beers make Yard House - Mission Valley mall worth a repeat HH visit.

I went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. Staff were really friendly. I ordered the queso appetizer and half of a barbecue chicken salad. The food came out quickly. The queso was fine, but had a very weird mouth feel. Like it didn't feel like cheese. It comes with tortillas and tortilla chips. I did not eat very much of it. The barbecue chicken salad was fine. A little too many beans for me which I was not expecting. But it's a fun place to go with a big menu. Tons of beer to choose from.
I genuinely don't know how it took me this long to try Yard House happy hour because this might be one of the best happy hour deals I've found in San Diego. This review is actually from two separate visits because after the first one I already knew I needed to come back. The Mission Valley location is huge with booths, bar seating, high tops, and plenty of room for bigger groups. I went once around 3:30 PM and once around 5 PM. If you're trying to avoid a wait, definitely go earlier. At 3:30 there were plenty of open tables. At 5 PM the place was packed with people getting off work and we had to hop on a waitlist. We were quoted 20 minutes but got seated much quicker than that. The biggest thing you need to know is that the happy hour food is 50% off. Most dishes end up being around $5 to $10 which is honestly kind of crazy considering the portion sizes. To start, I ordered the Paloma and this thing was good. It had tequila, grapefruit, citrus agave, and a salted rim. Super refreshing and balanced. Not too sweet and definitely a generous pour. Later on I got an espresso martini which was also really solid. Smooth, strong enough to give you that little coffee kick, and honestly a perfect after dinner cocktail. Now for the food. The chicken lettuce wraps were easily one of my favorite things I tried. The chicken had a great ginger-forward marinade and a nice charred flavor. It comes with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce and both were delicious. The crazy part was the portion size. We filled every lettuce cup and still had chicken left over. This is a must-order. The sliders were good too. Nothing life changing but exactly what you'd want from a slider. Juicy burger, cheese, pickles, fries on the side. My partner loved these way more than I did because he's a burger person. The calamari though? Skip it. There was way too much breading and not enough calamari. The pieces were small, kind of rubbery, and the breading didn't have much seasoning. It came with a jalapeño tartar sauce and a spicy tomato sauce. The jalapeño sauce was actually pretty good but it wasn't enough to save the dish. We barely touched it and left most of it behind. The poke nachos were another favorite and I've ordered them both visits. They're not going to compete with a dedicated poke spot but for happy hour they're really good. The sweet soy ginger sauce is what makes the whole dish for me. My second visit actually had way more ahi and avocado too which made it even better. The only thing I'd probably change next time is getting the truffle sauce on the side because it kind of takes over the whole dish. I also got the crème brûlée cheesecake because that name sounds amazing. Unfortunately it was just okay. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't memorable. It tasted like regular cheesecake with a crème brûlée top. The berries on the side helped but I wouldn't order it again. During my second visit we tried the Korean garlic boneless wings, Wisconsin cheese curds, and crispy Brussels sprouts. The wings were fine. The sauce just didn't have enough flavor to make them stand out. I did love the generous amount of green onions on them. The cheese curds, however, were delicious. Ridiculously cheesy inside, but i wish they were crispier on the outside. The hot honey sauce paired really well with them. Also the portion is massive, so definitely order these with people. The absolute star of the entire review is the Brussels sprouts. Whatever sauce they use on these should be bottled and sold. They're sweet, garlicky, salty, tangy, and completely addictive. I kept reaching for them over everything else on the table. These will be ordered every single time I come back. Yard House is absolutely worth checking out for happy hour. The service has been great both visits, the portions are huge, and the prices are hard to beat.
I love coming here. The beer selection is huge and I always go for dragons milk! The service is top notch, our server was really nice. I love the ambiance in here, any occasion the setting inside always fits the unique vibe for anything. I recommend the grilled brussel sprouts and poke nachos!
This was the first time we went here, it was our 47 years anniversary. Was welcome nicely, very clean. When you walk in the door on the right was a cool door with wine. In the front where the host was is a big music control. As we was seated our waiter her name is Danny I probably spelled it wrong. The food was great. The small down side I had a kale salad was great with 1 Brussels sprut, Danny went and got a couple more for me. The service was great, Danny was very interactive with us. The rest of the meal was great. I will definitely come back on my birthday in November
My husband and I came to the Mission Valley Mall to try out the new sushi place; however, they had a three-hour wait, so we decided to go to Yard House instead. It worked out perfectly because we actually had a gift card for Yard House. We arrived at Yard House around 3:30 PM, and the hostesses greeted us right away. There was no wait at all, so they seated us quickly. As two larger people, my husband and I really appreciated the comfortable booths they have. The lighting felt romantic and cozy, and while the bar area was a little loud, we understood that because of the sports playing on the TVs. We also really loved the music they were playing. Our server, Theresa, was so sweet and attentive. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer, the sliders with onion rings, and the carnivore pizza. My husband got the recommended pairing for the pizza, which was a Hefeweizen beer, and I just got water. They brought our food out in no time at all. The spinach dip was hot and very delicious, and it paired perfectly with their tortilla chips. My husband loved the carnivore pizza and his beer; it wasn't a heavily sauced pizza, but it had a lot of great flavor. My sliders were fresh and delicious, and I loved that they put the pickle chips on the side just in case I didn't like pickles. The onion rings were also hot and fresh, and I loved the batter on them--it had a hint of sweetness. We ended up with a lot of leftover food to bring home, and it was still great when we reheated it. We will definitely be back again!
Haven't been here in a long while but they do have good happy hour deals which is exactly what I went for. Service is a hit or miss depending on how busy they are. For being happy hour food and pricing, the food is worth it. We got fried calamari, the tuna poke nachos are always a must, and the truffle pizza.
They have a nice happy hour menu! Came in for dinner with a couple of my work gals. The inside is spacious & we were seated at a big booth in the back. Will definitely be back for happy hour as everything was good. They were also very attentive with refilling our water cups which is nice not having to ask for more water.

Yard House is always a solid spot for happy hour! The prices are affordable! They have a great selection of food to share, and it's perfect for grabbing a bunch of different things for the table. We got the sliders, poke nachos, calamari, and buffalo chicken pizza. The poke nachos were definitely one of my favorites. The sliders were juicy and perfect for sharing, and the calamari came out crispy without being overly greasy. The buffalo chicken pizza had a nice kick Overall, you really can't go wrong with Yard House happy hour. Good portions, lots of variety, and a fun atmosphere. The service here is what keeps us coming back. We are always greeted with great hospitality and enthusiasm. Our waitress was awesome. Super nice and very helpful with the menu. We are ordered Crispy Brussel Sprouts which was $11.99 and Poke Nachos which was $17.49. Got some complimentary chips as well. They all were so scrumptious and hit the spot. I ordered a Honey Blonde Ale and my husband got a Dragon's Milk. It paired nicely with our meal. It's a great place to watch sports or have a little date night. i always go for happy hour here! the wait is not too bad and i'm always seated within 5-10 minutes of arriving. the poke nachos are so delicious, it comes topped with poke, sauce, cilantro, jalapeños, avocado and seaweed. the wonton chips are so good and the crunch is amazing. the pizza is pretty good they give a good amount of pepperoni and the pizza is not floppy. read more

Great place to watch a sports game as they have plenty of TVs throughout the restaurant. The happy hour is my favorite time to go as they have discounts on drinks and food. I absolutely love this place and find myself coming back regularly! The service is consistently spot on, and the food is always fresh and satisfying. One of my favorite things to order here is their iced mochas--they never disappoint. Definitely a go-to spot for me!. If you want strong hot coffee, their coffee will definitely keep you awake! The truffle cheese burger was really good. Very cheesy and could really taste the truffle. The fries also were good and crispy. Onion rings are good as well The brussel sprouts perfectly charred and nice smoked flavor and the sauce for dipping very good. Loved the sprouts. The ciders here are good and the beer. Honestly I looked at all of the photos of this place was I was genuinely scared to come here. The food dish photos looked questionable. But, don't believe everything you see on here, I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a fun bar vibe, lots of food on the menu like literally endless, similar to cheesecake factory. The cheese curds were good but super greasy and the salad was genuinely huge I only got through like 1/3 of it. Decided to try this place after hearing all about their happy hour deals. We tried a few appetizers, poke nachos, gardein wings, sliders, & the buffalo chicken pizza. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in all the food. The only dish I thought was decent was the truffle fries, which we upgraded with the sliders. Other than that, I honestly would not pay full price for the food. This place is pretty pricey for the quality you get. read more
YARDHOUSE @ MISSION VALLEY Parking is super easy since they have a gigantic lot. It's located in Mission Valley Mall, so the parking is shared with places like Outback Steakhouse, a bunch of shopping centers, and Target. We parked right behind Target, which was only about a couple minutes' walk to Yard House. This was my very first time going to Yard House and I kid you not their happy hour deal is insane. They have half off a huge list of appetizers Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM and again after 10 PM to closing. They also offer select drinks at half off. We got there around 5:30 PM and were seated pretty quickly. The space itself has more of a darker vibe, which honestly makes it really nice for a date night. It's also a big sports bar, but the layout is super beautiful and well-designed. There were definitely a lot of families there too, so it feels casual and welcoming overall. I ordered the poke nachos, which come with tuna and crispy wonton chips. I opted out of cilantro and green onions. My friends got the chicken lettuce wraps, Brussels sprouts, and chicken tenders with fries. The portions were way bigger than I expected, it honestly felt like I ordered a full entrée. Unfortunately, my food didn't come out for about 20 minutes after my friends had already gotten theirs. However, the manager and our server were super kind and apologetic. They even took it off my bill because it had been brought to the wrong table. They handled the situation really well, which I appreciated. The poke nachos were so delicious, everything tasted super fresh, the wonton chips were perfectly crispy, and I loved the sweet sauce they drizzled on top. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by Yard House during happy hour. After 6 PM, it did seem like the crowd died down a bit, but happy hour is definitely the move if you can make it. I had an absolutely amazing experience here. Our server Stephanie was the best and honestly made my experience here even better. We were seated immediately and came just in time for happy hour - which is half off appetizers. We decided to order a bunch of apps and split between us. We got the sliders, poke nachos, tenders, Brussels sprouts, and chicken lettuce wraps. For the price ($8-$10) for each item it was so worth the money. The portions were such a great size and the food tasted amazing! I really liked the sliders and chicken lettuce wraps. Nothing was dry and the flavor was amazing. Had a really fun lunch catching up with a friend. We both liked how relaxed and comfortable we felt at yard house. Our server Dina was so good! We ordered edamame and hummus appetizers. The hummus was so yummy and a little spicy. We also had blackened chicken kale and romaine salad and blue cheese hamburger with onion rings. Everything was delicious. Except Onion rings were meh even with ranch. Mission Valley Mall is undergoing a facelift and we approve. Yay! read more

We went to the yard house before going to the amc movie theater next door. It was happy hour. We've been here several times and never had bad food. This time we ordered the sliders and pizza which were both half price. My husband got the yard cider and I got a white wine. Our waiter had to be one of the best we ever had. Wonderful experience! read more

Yard House has the best Happy Hour prices Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. The food is 1/2 off, $2.00 off on Draft beers, wine & cocktails etc. We enjoyed the following happy hour appetizers and rate them 4.5/5 stars: *Poke Nachos *Burger sliders *calamari We visited the Mission Valley location and looking forward to their new location at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista since this is closer to me. Got wings and brussels sprouts at Yard House after a soccer game I love how the venue is well lit and a modern environment. The wings were cooked to perfection. I love the glaze and the lemon pepper dry rub. Our server took great care of us checking on us making sure we had everything we needed. Happy hour is available Mon-Fri 3-6. They also have a late night happy hour but I'm too old for that. Their HH menu has more food items and as non alcohol consumers we thought this would be the place to go. Everything was ok, except for the crispy Brussels sprouts. They weren't crispy and they tasted old. They were drowned in some sweet sauce. Anyway... avoid. Their pizzas were decent but too wet. The center droops lower than the stomach of a 600 lbs patient post weight loss. Sliders were ok too but lacked flavor. Idk what happened to their poke nachos but it was mostly chips with tiny pieces of tuna sprinkled around. Their cheese dip was a hit but the chips were a tad stale. For the price, the volume of food was great, quality was meh, service was 10/10. read more
Came here on Valentine's Day and, as expected, it was pretty busy. Even without a reservation, the hostesses were attentive and stayed on top of the waitlist -- we were seated within about 35 minutes, which wasn't bad at all considering the crowd. This was our first time at the Mission Valley location and overall it was a great experience. The food was good overall. The only downside was the rice and beans that came with the taco flight -- they didn't taste very fresh. Also, one of our plates was still dirty when we're getting sat but I'm sure it was unintentional.. Aside from that, everything else was great. Our server was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. My only complaint would be that we'd wish we had a cleaner table and clean plates. read more
There was a lull in which we haven't visited this place in about 8+ years and now that we've come back to reexperience Yardhouse it's safe to say we've never been happier coming back! The Poke Nachos are still just as delicious as I remembered them years ago and it is hard to beat that level of delicious consistency! We've been back for happy hour for about 5 times now in the last 2 months so that should speak for itself The ambience is dim but welcoming and relaxing yet not too obnoxiously loud, the servers are always so sweet, courteous, professional, warm and welcoming, diligent in filling water and 1/2 yard orders We've ordered the Blackened Sashimi, calamari, truffle mushroom pizza (10/10), poke nachos (10/10), The Sliders (they come with a side of fries but our little one likes mac and Cheese so we sub the fries for that) ,buffalo chicken pizza We always get the 1/2 yard blackberry kombucha it's delicious but proceed with caution it's a creeper haha **You can always wait in line through the website just in case The beauty of happy hour here is eating family style and it doesn't break the bank and you leave full ! Next time I want to try the carnivore pizza and the Brussel sprouts for sure Trust me and try this place out to unwind or even as a little outing afterwork! No regrets read more
Had HH here a little while back. Yardhouse HH is always a good deal! They offer most of their appetizers and all of their pizzas at 50%! The place was busy when we arrived, around 5pm, but our party of 5 was able to be seated right at a booth. Our server was very friendly and he checked up on us often. We were able to place our food orders using the tablets on the table, and our food was brought out quickly, one or two at a time, and just minutes apart. Their cheeseburger sliders are simple, but the beef is flavored so well, it's so good! Comes with fries you can upgrade for onion rings or sweet potato fries. Poke nachos and chicken nachos is also a fam favorite and you get so much. YH definitely has a lively, social, busy atmosphere. Check it out! read more
The first Yard House I dined at was in DTLA downtown LA, next to the Crypto Arena formerly the Staples Center. I liked it then and it like here in Mission Valley, San Diego. Plenty of free parking in the lot is a major plus. While the Yard House's claim of fame is the array of beer selection, that's not why I like it. The many TV monitors, the variety of foods ranging from bad to the bone bar food, to food porn and healthier options is why I like it. If I can watch one of my favorite college or professional teams play and have a descent meal and drink ins clean place with great service, I'm thrilled. Have dined here for almost a couple of years. Almost everything I've ordered from salads, appetizers, pizzas and wine were all good and have repeat ordered: the ahi poke, the blackened ahi sashimi, Salmon with salad, Brussel sprouts, Truffled mushroom pizza have been my repeat orders worth mentioning. I have sent back some foods for being subpar ie being overly fried or overly salty. If you can drop in during HH=happy hours, some of these are half price and that means you scored!! It would better if HH was offered on Saturdays too. It's not a dive but not a fancy place either. I especially like that it's clean, casual and sports bar lounge vibe where a solo diner or a group of diners including kids are welcome. I lovee it here. The food always hits. Never do I not order the poke nachos. That aioli sauce is to die for and my fav is the Korean ribeye steak. Soooo good and they always cook it just how I ask and like it. The burgers are delicious too. My mom had ordered the seafood pasta and it was pretty good as well. It can get pretty loud for ambiance but it's kind of like a sports bar so it's to be expected. The wait can be a little long on busy nights but that just means it's popular. They also seat for big crowds and is able to split the bill in many ways which I lovee. Always good vibes and a great experience when I come. read more
