Check in staffs was nice with a welcoming attitude. Our server needs some energy and enthusiasm. SURCHARGE IS INCLUDED ON THE BILL TO "COVER RISING COST". RIDICULOUS! Food was great. Just took more than 30-35 minutes to serve the main dish. Appetizers were served in about 5 minutes. Crispy Calamari was one of the best we've had. Crispy with a balsamic like dipping sauce. Ahi Tuna & Salmon Poke was delicious as well. Everything was fresh! Seafood Fettuccine was great as well; it's just that the mussels were on the smaller side, as if it was a peanut size. The place was nice and cozy, especially its location by the bay. Been here years ago with better experience. Will avoid ordering their old fashioned, might be the worse one I've ever had. Will order another cocktail next time. Overall, it's a great place to celebrate any special occasion. We were here for our 10 year anniversary.

One thing they can work on: We knew from a previous visit that they have an extensive wine list on an iPad. We asked our server for the wine list and she said it was on the menu. Then we asked for the "secret" list. She seemed to reluctantly bring out the iPad . We bought two $500 bottles that the manager graciously spent some time locating. It paid off for C level to spend some time and bring the secret wine list lol.
First time here! We came to celebrate a bachelorette in San Diego and wanted to eat at a restaurant with an ocean view! The view did not disappoint. Building is joined with another restaurant. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Menu has a lot of variety. Portions are big and can be split if you're not a big eater. We ordered to share and took back leftovers. All are pretty yummy and has flavor! Even the salad was delicious! Drinks are good. Presentation can be a bit better but decent overall. Definitely recommend and will go back when in town.
Very disappointed with the service and overall experiences here. I've been here multiple times and the service every time has been lacking. The food has been average, the prices are on the high end, the service is slow, parking is $10, and the only highlight was the view. There are a few free parking stalls available. However, they close off a majority of the parking lot for the $10 valet. It was annoying, because the parking lot was half empty, but roped off for paid parking. We had reservations, but still had to wait some time. The restaurant is by the harbor and has a beautiful view. We were seated outside and had a view of the harbor. We had whiffs of sewage throughout dinner, and it was unknown if that was from the harbor or some busted pipe somewhere. There is a 25% gratuity added to groups 6 or more. Which isn't a problem, however, we rarely were checked on. We had to flag them down if something was needed and would wait long periods of time to be helped. The food was alright, nothing memorable, and the portions were small for the price. Overall I have never been impressed with this place. Out of the many times I've eaten here, I have left disappointed. If you're looking for a view, go somewhere else.

Lobster Mac 'n Cheese with side salad (7.5/10): Really cheesy, creamy, and served hot in a skillet with chunks of lobster throughout. The apple walnut side salad was pretty good too. C Level Wagyu Burger with truffle fries (7/10): A pretty decent, average burger. You can choose your own cheese and how your meat is cooked. The truffle fries had the perfect crisp to potato ratio and a generous amount of parmesan. Ricotta, Pesto & Spinach Lasagna (8/10): A unique mix of flavors with artichoke pieces and a noticeable pesto taste. It was cheesy, creamy, and served hot in a skillet. The leafy floral garnish also made the presentation really pretty. Crispy Calamari (7.5/10): The coating was more flaky than crunchy. It tasted like it was fried in coconut oil because it had a light coconut flavor. The sweet and sour sauce paired well with it, but it was on the saltier side. Cabrillo Cooler (8.5/10): Refreshing, fruity, not overly sweet, and the alcohol wasn't overpoweringI found it enjoyable Service: I added a note to my mom's birthday reservation a week in advance asking for a table by the water, but as expected it was really busy. When we arrived, we ended up getting seated in a booth toward the back, so getting a waterfront table is definitely hit or miss. I hope to experience it one day! The staff were really nice, friendly, funny, attentive, and conversational. Ambiance: The outdoor seating is bright and beautiful during the day. If you're seated inside, the large windows let in natural light. Overall, it has a relaxing, laid back nice restaurant vibe.

Never an empty drink or plate at the table... from when we sat at the bar until the check came at the end of the meal at our table. I felt pampered. The food... wow. We had a ton of apps and everyone cleaned off their entree plates. It actually got quiet at our table as everyone focused on their delicious meal. The vibe was so chill and relaxing. Great place for a business dinner, romantic meal, or family gathering. I would 100% recommend and return.
Great lunch today at C Level. Carla was our server. She was friendly and efficient. We started with the chicken potstickers and French onion soup. Both were good. I had the French Dip. It wasn't me if the best in town, the meat was flavorful and tasty. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. The skirts on Fire salad as good, the steak spicy. Free parking is available during the day and valet for $10 in the evening.

You get the San Diego vibe all the while treating yourself to a delicious meal. Note: If you have a long layover in sd. Definitely try this place! It's across the SAN airport.
I've been coming here for years and it's honestly my favorite waterfront restaurant in San Diego for dinner with a view. My new birthday tradition is treating myself to a solo birthday dinner here during golden hour and watching the boats and jet skis go by with the San Diego skyline in the background. The ceviche verde is delicious and has just the right amount of spice. For my birthday I got the complimentary strawberry shortcake which was light and not overly sweet. The manager even came over to wish me a happy birthday which was such a thoughtful touch. I had such a nice evening. If you're looking for a great date night, birthday dinner, or even a peaceful solo dinner with beautiful bay views, I'd definitely recommend this spot. A couple tips: Try to make a reservation for a table outside. They have outdoor heaters but I always try to bring a jacket just in case I get cold. Also I would recommend booking for about an hour before sunset although there really isn't a bad time to go. Yesterday when I went, it was a Sunday night so it was fairly busy. One thing to keep in mind is that the parking lot is pretty small, so I'd give yourself a little extra time in case you need to find parking nearby. They also have valet for $10 if that's easier.
The wait staff was very courteous and rapid. My water was constantly being filled! The skyline view from the outdoor seating area is probably the best view I've had in a restaurant in San Diego. I especially love the sight of the Coronado Bridge. Absolutely aesthetic! For my order, I had the Lobster Bisque and C Level Wagyu Burger. The Lobster Bisque was tasty but I had expected a stronger lobster flavor. I had the lobster bisque at its sister restaurant Island Prime a long time ago and remember the lobster flavor being punchier. As for the burger, you can taste quality in the patty. However, the burger could have used more seasoning. The bacon was delicious--as were the included Parmesan fries which were perfect in texture. This restaurant encompasses beautiful views of the Downtown skyline. While I enjoyed my experience and the food was pretty decent, I was left wanting a little more in the flavors of my food.
OMG! As I stated before, I love to have a dining experience where I know it's gonna be excellent every time. We came here for lunch and I am so happy that we did. C-Level never disappoints. We were seated right away after about a five minute wait. I did have a reservation on OpenTable but when we got there, there were several challenges I believe in the seating area. Once we were seated, I noticed Chef Deborah walking around. She was greeting customers and being her very friendly and professional self. I was so impressed. We ordered.: Tempura Artichoke Appetizer, Fish and Chips, and a Chicken Caesar Salad. Everything was DELICIOUS! It was also awesome because Chef Deborah came by to greet us and talk to us and I had a chance to express how much I really like her Casa Gabriella restaurant in La Mesa. I told her how I have been a fan of her restaurants for a long time and I absolutely miss Bo Beau that used to be in Hillcrest, and then Ocean Beach. She updated me that it is now located in Long Beach, which is still good to know. Being able to dine and speak with the actual executive chef of this brand was awesome. Thank you, CRG for providing a wonderful lunch experience and for your consistency and delivering an excellent dining experience. I advise that people join their CRG Dining Loyalty Rewards.

Stopped by C Level for happy hour on a hot Monday afternoon and had a great experience. It wasn't very crowded, and self-parking was easy right out front. I originally requested outdoor seating, but the available table didn't have much of a view. It ended up working out perfectly because I was seated inside by the window with A/C and an even better view of the bay. I ordered the Cabrillo Cooler and the steamed mussels from the happy hour menu. The cocktail was refreshing and perfect for a warm day, and the mussels were absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to James, who provided attentive and friendly service throughout our visit. If you're looking for great food, refreshing drinks, and some of the best waterfront views in San Diego, C Level is definitely worth a visit. read more

We went here for their happy hour. We were early before the restaurant got busy so there were a lot of parking spots available. Reservations are highly recommended! We had reservations and we seated right away on their patio with a gorgeous view of the San Diego skyline. We took advantage of their happy hour specials and ordered the sesame crusted Brie dish that our waiter recommended. We also ordered the Cesar salad and their delicious pistachio and ricotta lasagna. Such an amazing place! Everything about this restaurant was fantastic--the view, the employees, the food, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe. The fish and chips were delicious. The fish was perfectly battered, crispy on the outside, and flaky white on the inside. The fries were also nice and crispy. We also ordered the blackened fish tacos, which were packed with flavor from the very first bite. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, professional, and welcoming. Several employees regularly checked on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was going well. The outdoor seating offers an incredible view of downtown San Diego, with boats passing by in the harbor. Combined with the perfect weather, it made for a wonderful dining experience. It had been several years since my last visit to C Level, so I was excited to return. Unfortunately, I left disappointed with the food this time around. The calamari and fish and chips lacked flavor and were a bit greasy. The burger was just okay and nothing special. Such a goooorgeous location! Opted for outside dining with the best views of San Diego! They've got heat lamps above the tables! Service was great and everyone was kind! Shout out to our server (didn't get his name) but he was amazing and helped us with recommendations. Got the Skirt Steak Salad and they kindly split it! Might I say, the salad was so delicious! Definitely give it a shot! (server recommendation) Lobster n Fotina BLT was stuffed generously and SPECIAL. It was absolutely amazing. I booked C-Level for a work dinner to celebrate our top performers and it could not have been a better choice. We had a party of 15 and from the planning process to the actual dinner, the restaurant made the entire experience feel special and seamless. Our employees absolutely loved it. The views are honestly second to none. Watching the San Diego skyline and water during dinner created such an incredible atmosphere. The service was outstanding from start to finish and the food completely lived up to the hype. I had the lobster mac and cheese and it was unlike anything I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and worth every bite. Then dessert happened. Our server insisted I couldn't leave without trying the peanut butter brownie ice cream dessert and now I fully understand why. Unreal. I think I need about seven more of them immediately. Highly recommend for celebrations, group dinners, date nights, or anytime you really want to impress people. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a date night away from kids here. The food was all delicious, the view great, valet parking only $10 and our waiter was great. The only negative I'll say is the managers here I'm assuming were managers (the 2-3 men in suits) walking around talked to most of the tables around us but completely ignored us, I guess they pick and choose who they care about for their opinion? Even the black manager ignored us so idk if this is a racist thing but it definitely gave weird vibes. Otherwise everything 5 star read more

I thought the food of this restaurant is decent but not at the outstanding or excellent level. The restaurant appears (wants to be) a high end establishment, but it's not there unfortunately! One of the main reason was the service, well, I can only based on the service from the waiter I had. We purchased a "romantic package" which includes a half bottle of champagne and rose petals on the table. This should give the wait staff a very clear indication that we were celebrating a special occasion. However, the waiter did not acknowledge anything. In addition, he appeared to be kind of depressed and acted like he didn't really care his job! After our meal, once the dishes were taken away, there was some scraps of the food on the table and he didn't even bother to clean it up. So.... It's kind of disappointing for us. We thought Topsail is a much better choice for service, good and the waterfront view for sunset. So, ya, this restaurant is a C- to the best, I almost want to give it a D. read more

I'm embarrassed to say how long this restaurant has been on my "must try" list without actually going. I finally had the pleasure of stopping by after a long day of jury duty for their wonderful happy hour. We sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly and great conversation during our stay. Not only were the drinks discounted for happy hour, but they were delicious. Both the coconut shrimp and the baked Brie were fantastic. I'll definitely be back to try more in the future. read more

Somehow got lucky and had one of the best views inside by the window looking out at the skyline. Views are so pretty! Outside is also an option fyi to make pictures easier with no windows and there are outdoor heaters too but don't have the inside coziness. The food was actually quite good. The coconut shrimp was perfectly crispy. I've never seen lobster blt before and it was really good!!! Plenty of lobster, loved that the mixture didn't taste like a bunch of mayo, and the bread was so crunchy. Would honestly order it again. Come for the views, apps, and cocktails! Service was excellent. Recommend making an early reservation to enjoy the cocktail selection and appetizers, and to get a parking spot! Wouldn't come for dinner again, very mid selection (it's on the ocean, why aren't there more seafood options?). read more

My boyfriend and I came here on our last night visiting in San Diego. We made a reservation online through OpenTable and was able to request outdoor seating (we wanted a water/city view). Our table was ready on time and our server was incredible! He gave great recommendations of food and drinks. I tried the mai tai and was satisfied. We ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. We were impressed with the coconut shrimp and both agree it was the best we've ever had! We both love good shrimp. My main dish I ordered was the mahi dish and it was a good balance of sweet and salty. I can't remember the name of our desert but it was also very yummy! The restaurant was busy while there but not overly loud or crowded feeling. We had a good view of the water and city during our dinner. Overall a great experience and we'd love to come back in the future! read more

While checking in, the staff member we spoke with wasn't very friendly. Even though there were still many open tables, we were assigned a table behind a person in a wheelchair. Since we had a small child who needed a high chair and my husband is quite tall, the space felt very cramped, and our stomachs were against the table the whole time while we were eating. During our meal, my husband asked one of the staff members where the restroom was, but she didn't seem happy to help because her conversation with another staff member was interrupted. We did have some nice interactions with other staff, but those two ladies did not make a very good first impression. The food tasted good overall, but many of the mussels we ordered were empty shells. The ahi was fresh and cooked perfectly, and they were very nice to help us put the Ahi in two plates for us to share. We arrived on a late Friday afternoon and were able to find a decent amount of self-parking available. read more

I'd probably give them a 4.5 but it was still really good. The service was amazing and the valet honestly wasn't too expensive ($10) for such a busy area. The restaurant itself is lovely, so classy. The ocean view was amazing. My waiter was very kind and attentive throughout the night. French Onion Soup: it had great flavors and i liked that they used gruyère unlike some places being cheap lol. The broth and onions were tasty but I wish the bread wasn't as mushy. I have had french onion soup where the bread is still crisp after being broiled. That's me being nit-picky! 4.5/5 Oysters: tasty, good side accompaniments! Some shell in there but i understand it's hard to shuck sometimes. 4.5/5 mocktails: for someone who doesn't care for alcohol the fake alcohol was a little too convincing but for someone who couldn't drink, they're great and pretty! desserts: both really well done and the raspberry or strawberry streak of sauce is very good. This place has a really classy vibe, and the view of San Diego Bay from the patio is absolutely stunning. I ordered the seafood pappardelle, and the flavor was phenomenal--rich, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The portion size was generous, and they didn't hold back on the seafood either. Our server, Nick, got us taken care of right away and continued to deliver excellent service throughout the night. He was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was spotless and beautifully decorated. Heard many positive things about this restaurant and had been wanting to go for a while. I was finally able to visit when my husband brought me here to celebrate my birthday. He made a reservation a month early and was able to get the perfect date and time for us. Making the reservation online was super easy to do. This restaurant is beautiful with stunning views of the San Diego Bay, downtown skyline, and Coronado Bridge. It has an upscale vibe in a lively yet relaxed waterfront spot. It is an amazing spot for date nights, special occasions, and even casual meals. To start, we had some crispy calamari with a Vietnamese dipping sauce. The calamari was fried to a perfect golden and crunchy texture, while the sauce added a tangy kick to the seafood without overpowering it. This was a great appetizer. Another standout here is the parmesan chicken piccata, containing roasted artichokes, garlic-roasted tomatoes, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a lemon-caper sauce. The light parmesan coating was an amazing combination with the tender chicken breast. It was really nice to have some greens, the broccolini, to balance out the creaminess of the dish. My favorite dish of the night was the seafood pappardelle pasta, which included bay scallops, white fish, mussels, shrimp, cherry tomatoes, chili flakes, garlic, pesto cream, rosemary-garlic crostini, and lemon oil arugula. It was such a generous portion of seafood that was not only fresh, but also high quality. Super flavorful pasta with just the right balance of richness and savoriness. Ended the night with a complimentary birthday dessert. It was a slice of strawberry shortcake that did not taste overly sweet or heavy. I really enjoyed it after having all the savory food. This was the perfect way to complete our wonderful dinner at C Level Lounge. My husband and I are already planning our next visit back. read more

I've been wanting to come here for the longest time, and finally did during the first day of San Diego Restaurant Week. The evening was a complete disappointment, here's why... It started off with 3/4 of the parking spaces being reserved for valet only. It looks like C-Level, Island Prime, and Coasterra decided to convert their joint private lot into a money-making opportunity. I had dined at Coasterra about 1 1/2 years ago and it was free back then. I don't know when they decided to take away 3/4 of the parking spaces, leaving just a very small section that was free. Four of us ordered from the SDRW menu for $50 each and the smart one just ordered fish and chips. I had such high expectations but was deeply disappointed. I chose the salad as my starter. I asked for dressing on the side. They set my dressing on the side, but decided to just give me mixed greens, nothing else. One of my friends got a salad that came with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, nuts and cheese. Mine looked too pathetic to be photographed... One of my friends and I got the ahi & salmon poke. It looked appealing at first glance, but it was flavorless. There was no sauce on it, nothing. They apparently forgot and we had to ask for ponzu, which was brought out about 10 minutes later. Aside from the flavorless bowl, there were other issues with this dish. There were hardly any fish, and the bowl consisted mainly of white rice. I would say more than 3/4 of it was rice. For dessert, I selected the key lime tart. I expected a regular sized dessert. Instead, I got a mini tart. It didn't taste good, so I suppose it wasn't too bad that it was small because I wouldn't have eaten it anyway. The meal was definitely not worth $50! It was overpriced and underwhelming. This was notably the saddest salad I've had and the most disappointing poke bowl. The dessert was a disappointment as well. Two of my friends got the lobster Mac and cheese as part of their SDRW experience and commented that it was a tiny kid-sized portion with barely any lobster. Except for the friend who ordered the fish and chips, we were very disappointed and walked away hungry. The evening was a disappointment and service was pretty bad as well. It was unfortunate that we had to pay a 5% surcharge on top of the overpriced meal. It would be nice if we could get our money back! Definitely do not recommend this restaurant.... A 3-star review is considered average. My experience was below average; therefore, a 2-star is my overall rating. read more
