Though it's "just a nail salon" I don't look forward to that kind of vibe. I wanna just relax and maybe watch their television or listen to their music. Anything boisterous and extra is just not relaxing if that makes sense. It's also pleasant to be offered a water or some kind of basic beverage since the service typically goes well over an hour. Was just in town visiting, but if I were ever in a crunch, and in the area again, I would return, but I'd bring some headphones.

I need an affordable place to get my hair done in the Tampa area. Kiara was pretty solid and I would have given 4 stars for her easily. However, Edward RUINED my hair. My hair is naturally very wavy/loose curls. He seemed to not really pay much attention when I was explaining what I wanted (layers with a face frame - my hair is also very thick and this allows it to fall naturally nicely). I wanted a few inches off but no shorter than 4 inches for the front few pieces - I had my graduation and job interviews coming up so I did not want anything drastic, just enough so I could style it and it would hold nicely without weighing itself down. He cut EASILY 4 inches off the whole thing. I could deal with it being short if it was at least done well, but he butchered it. It has no layers, yet is uneven. It seems like he started to layer and forgot and just started cutting. He was running 35 minutes late and was going very fast. I was patient and waited but he seemed to be really rushing (not my fault, don't take it out on my head). Halfway through I reminded to not cut shorter in the front because I need to be able to clip it back and he said he needed to even it and cut the front two chunks so they aren't even to my chin when straight (again - I have curly hair! This is awful!). He said several times I have a lot of hair and it is tricky. If he did not already have scissors to my head, his lack of confidence would have made me leave. I have had short cuts but this was just like he did not even know how to use scissors. It is so uneven and I have had people comment on this, be it when done or left natural. I cannot even get it fixed right now because it is too short to fix. But trust me, when I get it fixed, it will not be here. If you want a solid affordable haircut, Kiara will do. I have been searching for a salon for an all over color and cut that doesn't break the bank. I have found that at Foil n Tone! Taylor is a color wizard and gave me the cut I wanted exactly. My hair has not been so healthy since I started coloring it!!
