I happened to be in the area on a Friday afternoon, so I stopped in for a pedicure based on all the great reviews. I wasn't doing anything fancy, just a one-color pedicure, so I didn't request anyone specifically. The technician I ended up with was nice, although she didn't really have much to say, which is fine. I did enjoy that she was very detail oriented; I felt like my toes were thoroughly scoped over and everything that was not supposed to be there was removed. I did not love the massage chairs: they were very awkward to adjust and had limited massage options. They seemed pretty old-fashioned to me. Other than the chairs though, everything was fine, the basic pedi only cost $25, and it looked like they had a lot of great OPI colors to choose from. read more

I have been going to Nail Kingdom for several years getting my nails done by the owner, Yoyo. However, she had been away on business for about a month and on other occasions she was out for weeks at a time so I had no choice but to get my nails done from another tech. Once Yoyo returned, I continued getting my nails done from this other tech who was wonderful and meticulous with my nails. Well, needless to say, when I walked into the salon yesterday I greeted Yoyo, who sits by the door, and she totally ignored me. When a woman behind me walked in a few second later, she was pleasantly greeted. Her sister-in-law, Crystal, who is also a nail tech as well, decided to follow her footsteps and ignore me like the plague. I now know why there is such a big turnover of nail techs. It is because of the gossiping, petty and childish behavior which I find totally unprofessional. Came here with a friend who is a regular here but unfortunately I had a pretty bad experience. I received a pedicure and acrylic refill on my big toes, the first mistake came when the nail tech I doing my refill filed my cuticles way too thin and hard and it started bleeding profusely. They didn't apologize, they just put a cotton ball on it got up and put some liquid bandage on it (the nozzle of the bottle definitely touched my toe blood and she put the cap back on without cleaning it first). Next, another technician, who I can only assume is new, took over two hours to finish my pedicure. My friend also got a gel pedicure, hand soak off, and dip full set and was finished thirty minutes before my pedicure. After which I looked at my feet and I still had noticeable dead skin left on the bottoms of both of my feet. The cut on my toe is healing now, but it hurt for 3 days after. This older woman I sat with was not only pushed me repeatedly. I came back the next following workday not only need to be harassed by this woman. I asked to please have my nails repainted or a refund. she yelled from across the salon. I'm not going to touch you don't worry. I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life, and to top it off, pay to be disrespected. She then proceeded to come and harass me and the guy and speak to me. I politely asked her to please go back and sit down and I'll deal with this. she did this in front of multiple clients. he ended up having to give me cash because he couldn't even find the transaction due to this old lady attacking everyone. Was shopping at Target and decided to give this nail place a try. Surprisingly on a Saturday it wasn't busy and I was able to walkin without a wait. That should have been a sign but I thought I was lucky. LOL I got the regular pedicure and manicure and when they mean basic it's the bear minimum. My pedicure water had nothing in it, so I basically soaked my feet in water. My nails were filed and trimmed nicely but no massage or nice lotion rub. The same for my manicure, I soaked my fingers in a soup bowl with water that looked a little unsanitary to me. Overall the nail tech did a good job at shaping, cutting and painting my nails but there was no extras that you would expect for a nail salon. read more

Decided to try this place for the first time, went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was fine (hence 2 stars) but for the manicure, the nail tech cut off SO much of my cuticle - 4 of my fingers were bleeding the whole time & still hurt now, hours later. So today was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I have been going here since they opened and honestly their service and quality of work was good, that's why I continued getting my pedicures, acrylics and dip with them. Then this year, the service started to wane.. first was the quality of the work which I was willing to forgive...my toenail polish would chip after 5 days and my dipped finger nails would crack on the side but they would fix it in a certain timeframe and I was ok with that. Today, however, I entered the salon with friend at 5.50pm. A gentleman approached us and i said "pedicure please". He stated "2 pedicures". I said no, just one but what is the wait time?" to which he replied "no wait. Pick a color". I had a color and was sitting to be attended to at 5.55pm. 6.09pm came and no one even approached me. I watched as one nail tech went to take a smoke, one nail tech was sitting in one of the pedicure chairs on her phone and one was sitting by their manicure table on the phone while the others had clients. Had I not asked about the wait time, I probably would not have been as bothered as I was. I simply got up at 6.10pm, placed the nail polish on the nearest table and walked out...never to return. I had high hopes for the salon but they have become like many of the other salons in Wesley Chapel. What a shame... read more

This salon needs to learn Customer Service. I came in for the first time yesterday, and was directed to a tech. I said Hello,and got no response. She started doing my nails, but never spoke to me except for 3 questions, (do you want shorter? what color? etc) She also was on her phone most of the manicure, and typing things in randomly. Another tech came over to show her something on that phone and she stopped and spoke to her for a few minutes (no English). During my appt, my tech and the 3 other tech's that spoke her language (something Asian) did nothing by chatter to each other and laugh. Even when done and massaging my hand, she never looked directly at me and never acknowledged me as a person. I LOVE nail kingdom. I pass this nail salon all the time but never really took notice of it. I attempted to go to my usual nail salon one afternoon and but they were completely booked so I decided to try out Nail Kingdom. It looks small from the outside but it's actually quite large on the inside. The nail technicians are all extremely friendly and welcoming. They are also great about enforcing safety protocols...masks are required and hands must be sanitized upon entry. Cece and Jason are both my favorite technicians. I have come in 3x recently and 2x have been serviced by Joann. She's a sneaky one! My first service, I showed her a design and she said the pink acrylic is better. I said okay. My second visit was very different. I would not discourage anyone from going here. I would instead encourage you to make an appointment with an experienced tech. It was a mistake to come as a walk-in this day because they let a young kid do my nails. I asked for ombre and he did not know how to do it. I appreciate that another tech saw that it was not being done correctly and stepped in to fix the design rather than let me get to the payment part upset. However, it is clear that more was done incorrectly by the young tech than the ombre look. My nails started peeling 2 days later & were completely gone in less than 1 week. I can have patience with someone in training, and I was not even mad that it took so long. Perhaps an experienced tech should've supervised his entire process, not just the end when he was trying to do the ombre. I expect gel to last at least 2 weeks and usually it lasts longer no matter where I go. The last time I had my nails done at Nail Kingdom, the gel design lasted for about 4-5 weeks. I had to remove it myself because of nail growth, not peeling. Imagine the heartbreak when nails that cost you time and money start peeling only 2 days later. It was a complete waste of money & leaves me conflicted about going back. read more

Please read Update ... my nails have broken twice with one finger and it is hanging on my skin. It tore part of my actual nail off. He did not put enough glue I am assuming or he missed a step because I have gotten them done in this location prior and had no issues. It's barely been a week and when I do certain activities my nails hurt. I believe he filed them down too low also. Not worth the 60$ and 5 $ tip. To add on it was only 25$ last time I got them done and I just remembered this thinking about it. I had to glue my nail back on ... and I use a bandage because it is loose Another update I spoke to 3 nail techs and a nurse and they stated that the person who did my nails most likely do not wash their tools. read more

I need to find a new place near my job as I don't have time to drive around Tampa to get my nails done. But I am very picky about my nails and noticed the little things... That being said Joy was amazing! She knew exactly what I meant when I said I wanted stiletto nails but more of an almond shape, I like them pointy at the end. The parking was easy and as soon as I walked in it was very calming and relaxing which is just what I needed after a long day at work.
