Was not impressed with the wines here. Tasting was pricey $35 plus tax & pourings were on the stingy side. there's a charge to sit outside unless you buy a bottle from them. There was nothing I tasted on the tasting menu that was memorable. inside decor was nice & had a big stone chimney to warm your feet by but other than that not worth to return to. +1 customer service was nice but if it gets busy RSVPs are recommended. +1

Visited Foley Estate Vineyard for the first time today and immediately fell in love with the property. After a few stops at other neighboring wineries we decided to stop by and check it out for future visits but ended up staying for an hour. So much open space with beautiful vineyard views. Loved the picnic tables area, perfect for families with kids. We stopped by around 4 pm to check out the winery and were greeted by a very friendly young man that kindly told us that they stop the tasting at 4 but we can get wine by the bottle or glass and enjoy it either at the indoor seating area or the outdoors. We chose the picnic tables and got a bottle of their Rose which was delicious. We stayed for an hour and left right before they were closing. Our first impression was Wow. We will be back. What a lovely property with such welcoming greeting....

Had the opportunity to get a free tasting here today as part of their partnership with Brick Barn winery this month! I've driven by Foley so many times, but hadn't tried it before. It's amazing and we were so impressed that we became members today too! Our server Dannicka was super helpful and knowledgeable. The drive to the estate is gorgeous, lined with trees. There are views of the vineyards all around their outdoor patio. Every single wine we tasted was incredible. I'm such a big fan and being a member gets you access to several other wineries too!

Great Pinot Noirs here at Foley -- it's worth the short drive on the way to Lompoc and lots of rolling hills to see on the way. We bought a bottle and enjoyed it with our picnic lunch we brought. Nice patio as well with large tables with that amazing view. Dog friendly which is a plus. Thanks Foley -- we'll be back!

Beautiful winery and vineyard. It was very nice and calm because it's off season. I came in January with a group of 5 and we did the Wine and Cheese Dynamics tasting experience in the private room with Danica as our sommelier. She is amazing, so knowledgable about the wines and growing process etc. She was so friendly and charismatic and really engaged our whole group and made the experience unforgettable. Great portion sizes for the price, nice variety of wines and more cheese than expected. Highly recommend.

Visited the Foley estate for the first time and it was a really nice experience! The tastings were yummy and generous. The outdoor setting is so pretty and relaxing! I honestly liked every wine I tasted but especially their 2018 Chardonnay and Pinot noir!

We called today and got in ! No reservations needed. Lucky us. Alicia helped us . She was knowledgeable and delightful. She made the tasting experience fun. She has outstanding interpersonal skills. About the wines we had two Chardonnay's, two pinot noir, rose' , and one Syrah . I'm more of white wine drinker. I enjoyed the white wines. Smooth and balanced .

Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery is dog friendly, including inside the tasting room. I came here with my husband and our little girl dog on a Friday afternoon around 12:25 pm. It was pretty quiet with just the employee behind the counter. The employee greeted us when we came in and helped us with a wine tasting, $15 for 5 different wines. Since we are wine members of EOS Winery, one of Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery sister wineries, we both have complementary tastings (wine club benefits). Being that I am rather limited in what type of wines I like (dessert wines and roses), I didn't really like the wines that much, but my husband did (the true wine lover). The employee hostessing us was nice and made some conversation with us. Overall, it was a nice experience and think you would like this winery if you like reds and whites. Please note that when we came, the cherry blossoms were in bloom as we drove to the tasting room. Definitely a very picture perfect place.

Everyone there was so nice and made us feel very welcomed. Veronica, our server, was amazing! Wine was very delicious! Would definitely go there again.

Had such a lovely time tasting here with the wonderful Billie this past Saturday. They accommodated a reservation change no problem and didn't rush us out. Everything here felt super safe as far as Covid goes, proper social distancing, super clean bathrooms, cleaning tables between guests and menus available online. Also such an amazing view! I felt transported for a couple hours. Can't wait to come back and we loved their wines so much we joined the wine club!

Left the tasting with a bit of a buzz (yay). Was served more of the wines I indicated I liked. Had to go before I bought anything.

While…read moreall advertising would suggest this is a friendly, female-focused winery, all staff members our group encountered seemed to be the exact opposite. Our group of 5 all ordered $30 wine tastings where we were not allowed to actually select the wines to taste. When I asked what wines would be included, the server identified several on the menu and unfortunately only half of these ended up being included in the final tasting. As our group began to enjoy our tasting, the staff unexpectedly took our heater away to warm a 2 top table without ever asking our group if we still wanted the heater (we did, it was 50 degrees out). One person in our group brought out a leftover bite of baguette from a previous stop in town and was QUICKLY alerted by the owner with the wag of a finger and note that "they sell food there and she can't bite her own food." The owner waited until my friend put her small bite in her purse before walking away. When checking out, the server told us we'd need to pay via one card only (fine) and proceeded to watch closely as my friend chose her gratuity option (rude). Although we selected a nice 20% tip on the screen prompt, the actual math shook out to a 24% tip without us ever agreeing to it. Short story: - Too expensive - Rude - Performative, white-centric feminism - Not worth visiting when there are so many other great options close by

Good pours and all the wines were low alcohol. They try and make them as natural as possible and are smaller batches than bigger wineries and labels. Friendly service as well. My only critique are the stools, they were really uncomfortable so sitting there for the whole tasting was not fun. We purchased one bottle and could have maybe purchased a couple others but we opted not to. I will also mention that there was a slight push to try and buy bottles at the end. Stopping short of saying "you should buy some bottles" but a lot of "nudges" and "hints" about buying bottles. We would definitely come back to try other pours.

We were so impressed by the wine that we even joined their wine club. I can't wait to receive the first shipment! I'm also already planning our next visit to this tasting room, which is located in an awesome one road town. My family has been members at Sanford for almost 25 years, so this review is long, long overdue…read more It's hard to put into words just how important Sanford has been to our family over the years. We've celebrated almost every major milestone here, and it has always felt like a second home. Watching the winery evolve while staying true to its roots has been incredible. One of the things we always loved about Sanford was the winemaking style under Steve Fennell. When Trey Fletcher took over, I'll admit we were a little hesitant. It's hard to see change at a place that means so much to you. But wow, Trey has absolutely won us over. The wines have evolved, but they still capture everything that makes Sta. Rita Hills special. There's a clear Burgundy influence, with thoughtful whole-cluster use that adds complexity and structure, but the wines never lose their sense of place. They still showcase the vibrant fruit, acidity, and character of the region while maintaining the backbone to age beautifully. Of course, great wine is only part of the story. The hospitality team has always been fantastic, and every visit feels warm and welcoming. Whether you've been coming for decades like we have or it's your first visit, Sanford has a way of making you feel at home. There are plenty of great wineries in the Sta. Rita Hills, but Sanford will always be the one that means the most to our family. Twenty-five years later, it still feels like home.
