The wine was great and it would have been a pleasant experience if it wasn't for Makayla. She had the nerve to question what tasting i was on. Mark had originally poured my first tasting and when i went back for my second tasting i told Makayla i was on number two (if they have cameras they can check) she poured me the rose because another group ladies that were there were on that one and she also asked me if i was on the rose and i just smiled because i didn't have the wine list in-front of me. She was then like "well then you're on the second one." My husband was completely sober and could 100% vouch for me. I felt completely offended regarding this. We actually stopped into this cute little store in Solvang. My son & his wife thought it was a good place for a rest it had two things we like to see a local artist and wine! They got a glass of wine to try and we sat on the patio and enjoyed the traffic & scenery of Solvang! They enjoyed the wine so much they joined their wine club. My family and I were strolling down Solvang and this darling little tasting room was the first one we stumbled across. I didn't have a lot of time and had kids in tow, but I asked a few questions and was curious as I am in the industry, (but an hour away in Paso Robles). I am always curious about our neighbors to the South... Mikala poured me the flight and shared lots of useful info about her family and their wines during my quick tasting. (She's a fantastic ambassador for this winery! Passionate, and an excellent communicator.) All the wines are well crafted, acid-driven, and clean/French inspired with a clear focus on the Rhone varietals (but there's a few surprises in there: Albariño, I'm looking at you). I took home two bottles: The 2023 Viognier is delightful! The nose was intoxicating and lured me in, and the palate delivered. Refreshing, crisp acidity, and simply delicious. Those Rhône whites are so good and often my favorite of the white varietals in California, and this was a vibrant version that I can't wait to share with my coworkers next week! Love those 2023 wines... I also fell hard for their dual vineyard, two clone 2022 Pinot they call Walk Slow. That one I am not sharing, it's all mine. :) Pinot can run the gamut, but the energy and tones were playful with a slice of edge intact - it reminded me of an early Beatles song ("All We Need is Love," perhaps?), but still elegant with the depth and grace I enjoy from a Central Coast Pinot Noir. Really impressed with this little winery and will definitely return to taste the red 2023s when they are released -- and I will absolutely recommend my guests stop in here! We walked around Solvang while staying in town for a wedding and based on the look of the place, we chose Crawford Family Wines for our choice of tasting. We were glad we did! The wines were fantastic and we bought a few to bring home. The house it is located in is in a perfect location. Most important, Michaela, was an absolute delightful person. We stopped by Crawford Family Wines after spotting it as we were walking around the area and boy am I glad that we did! The wine and service here were wonderful! We both tried the mixed flight and while every wine was delicious, the Syrah was my personal favorite! Paul was so friendly and knowledgeable as we made our way through the wine flight. The shop was empty when we entered and he did get quite busy as time went by but he was still able to manage getting us each wine at a great pace! The shop is really cute, with a shared art space so you can gaze on fun prints and pieces as you sip on your wine. We walked away with two bottles, the Viognier and Deux Syrah. If we lived closer, we would definitely visit often but I highly recommend a visit here! read more

This was our first stop when we arrived for the Danish days festival in Solvang. We were looking for a spot on the main drive to view the parade and enjoy some wine. This place was perfectly located across from the park, and it had comfortable seating. We had a bottle of the Low Tide Chenin Blanc, and it was the best wine we had of the day. I was in solvang for a full day and was in a mood for wine tasting. Yelped my little heart out and came to decide on this place for my spot. The place is very quaint and had outside sitting which was nice to people watch pass by since it's really close to the street. Did a 5 course tasting and the wine blew my mind!!! The quality was impeccable! It rivals the wines I had at Paso. You can tell they really put heart into the production of each bridal. My husband and I popped in to the tasting room over the weekend to share a quick tasting and was greeted by the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable McKayla. She shared with us about the family heritage of the winery and details of tasting notes and wine production from vine to glass. We thoroughly enjoyed what we tasted and left with a lovely 2018 Grenache from the winery library with the encouragement to "burn the expensive candles and drink the nice wine". So here we sit, on a Wednesday night after our 3 kids are in bed, drinking the 2018 wine library Grenache paired with a home cooked meal and a good movie. 10/10 would recommend read more

Came here on Saturday the 29th of April, 2023. We attended the Datsun Auto Show with friends but got a bit bored because honestly, they all start to look alike after a while. We spotted the Crawford Tasting room across the street and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The weather was perfect, and the experience was great. So great in fact that we became members and took home 9 bottles of wine. Our server Matt was friendly and charming, and knew a lot about the wines, even though he said "It's only my third day here." Strolled in on a Monday afternoon while we were in Solvang. The gentleman at the front greeted us and was very hospitable. I was looking for a bottle of wine as a gift. Solvang is evolving into a wine tasting town, and Crawford is at the top of the list IMO. The owner and winemaker, Mark Crawford, really knows his way around a wine barrel. Although every winery will tell red wine drinkers, "Our white wines are different than everyone else's", Mark managed to deliver on that hyperbole. Although it didn't convert me into a white wine drinker, I'd certainly buy some Albariño for my white-wine drinking friends and relatives. Got a great recommendation to visit this wine tasting room and it was a great first stop on our solvang weekend trip. Two us did the mixed flight tasting & one of us did the white wine tasting. Both tastings were great, Phil took care of us and was great to speak too during our service. They provided some great snacks too, we left with 2 bottles of wine & a ton of chips/crackers they had to offer. First time the now wife and I came here was because it was up the street from the hotel. We were greeted enthusiastically, and sat outside to have a glass of the Second Street Cuvee, whilst contemplating life, marriage, and wine. The wine was fantastic, and we just re-upped. Anywho, the two people helping us turned out to be the owners, and I can't say enough about how great these two people are. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, and they love if you love their wine. We told them we were coming back for our tiny wedding and they were like, come on in, bring the fam, do some tastings. So we popped in, and did a tasting with my now in-laws. They gave us a tasting of the their new summer wine, which we loved and I added to my order. Everyone was pleased. The tasting room is beautiful, as is the outside if you're looking to get some sun, taste some wine, and avoid pastries for an hour. They do a wine pairing, I can't eat cheese, but the mrs enjoyed it immensely. I'd say try the Cuvee, the Mouvedre if they have it, and also the pinot. Actually, just try everything. They also do glasses of wine if you're pretending that you can't do another tasting. Anyway, a real hidden gem in the area right now, I can't imagine you not joining the club after tasting. Great wine tasting experience in the heart of Solvang. Phil was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We sat out on the patio and then moved into the cozy indoors once the rain arrived. The patio is comfortable and the indoors has a relaxing vibe. The cheese plate was a solid value for what you got (missed the photo op for it). The pairing option was well balanced, and how could I say no to cheese with my wine. My personal favorites from the wine tasting was the Chenin Blanc, Rose (I bought the last bottle, hehehe), second street Cuvee, and Syrah. The Chenin Blanc has now of a stainless crisp taste to it and would be a great white for sitting in the sunshine. The Rose was my absolute favorite. It reminded me of crisp tasting red with sight bubbles. Both the Cuvee and Syrah were pretty heavy tasting and would go very nicely with seafood or steak (or lots of cheese of course). The chardonnay was also impressive, of you enjoy chardonnay of course, and for me it was a nice change from the very heavy oak / buttery versions of it. I also liked how they have their wine membership setup. Being local, it's great to find ones where you enjoy the location, the people, the wine, and the benefits. I'd definitely recommend this tasting room to locals and visitors alike. I'll be back regularly! read more
