In short, If he would have done the NORMAL procedure of an MRI BEFORE surgery, he would have seen that the implant was NOT RUPTURED and fully intact and the removal and replacement would have not been necessary. HE DISCLOSES TO HER AFTER THE SURGERY THAT THERE WAS NO RUPTURE, ONLY A SMALL TEAR IN MEMBRANE. it was an 8K huge gouging. Went in for bone tumor removal on my head(osteoma). I didn't get anesthesia and He hit my skull atleast 100 times with a hammer and chisel while I was awake, it sent shockwaves through my body. After he stitched my head up when the procedure was over I thought it was all good and removed. I am a 79 year old male. In March, 2021, I hired Dr. Arthur Foley to remove unsightly 'neck flaps'. I had two face-to-face meetings with Dr. Foley. Each time, Dr. Foley would have an assistant in the room with him. During the first meeting, I explained my goal. Dr. Foley pulled the skin back on my neck to demonstrate what it would look like while an assistant stood behind him with a mirror. I expressed my approval on seeing how much improved my appearance would be. Surgery was performed in March, 2021. I paid Dr. Foley $9500 (plus costs) to remove excess skin from my neck. It was a FAILED procedure. This is NOT a 'subjective' or 'picky' complaint that would fall within a boilerplate 'hold harmless' clause....this is a BOTCHED operation. (See the attached pictures.) I took Dr. Foley to small claims court and LOST because of this clause in his contract. "Neck and Face Lift: 'I understand that Dr. Foley will use his skill and judgment to accomplish the desired result. I only went to Dr. Foley for a consultation via phone. I took pictures of my breasts to send via email since this was supposed to be a video session (they were having issues so it ended up being a phone consultation). He starts by asking me normal questions, my age, my weight, if I had any children etc. I'm only 33 with no kids. He looks at my pictures and starts talking about how I have loose skin (I'm only 145, 5'4 with a D cup) and he wants to do liposuction on them etc. Now I've been to a surgeon in the same area for a consultation and he made 0 mention of loose skin and said I was just bottom heavy. It wasn't until I mentioned billing insurance that he started changing his tone a bit (I quickly figured out he doesn't bill insurance). He then decided to make the comment, " It looks like you've been a wet nurse to three children." I'm not sure what the point of that comment was, whether it was to cause a big insecurity in myself to want the surgery or if his bed side manner is just that bad, but it was insanely inappropriate. I explained why I wanted the sugary and he didn't really seem to care about my issues, and said, " l don't think insurance will cover it, but whatever, I can give you a number for my friend in Tacoma that bills insurance." How unprofessional can you be? You think a man doing procedures for women would learn a little empathy over the years. Stay away. I went to this doctor for a consult about skin laxity around my neck. He convinced me that I needed a chin implant. Okay. Got it done. Found his bedside manner kind of rough, but still did it. I immediately noticed some pain on one side of my face, but he said it's normal. Fast forward, the wing on one side of my face goes upward. It is not lined with my jawline .I went back to him to have him review it and he pretended to not see what I was seeing for a while. I took his hand and had him feel my actual face. He admitted that the wing was going upwards. He said it didn't matter because I still had "volume." He was completely condescending to me. I had staff in his office contact me privately to let me know that they were not okay with the way that he was treating me, but their hands were tied as he was the boss. I asked him for a refund so that I could get it corrected somewhere else as I was put off by his behavior towards me. He refused but said that he would "cut me open again" and " snip off that wing and stick the implant back in." I have since had three actual facial plastic surgeons review his work. All agree that it was not placed properly nor was his suggestion of putting half of an implant back in correct. He also did not give me proper aftercare. What he told me to do did not match what the American Board of Plastic surgeries tells you to do. I'm currently pursuing my legal options, but do me a favor and consider anybody else in the Pacific Northwest. His ego affects his treatment of patients. read more

Dr. Foley did my breast reduction 3 years ago. I told him I wanted to go down to a C cup, I'm not even an A cup. I can't even wear a bra due to the strange way my breasts are now shaped. I can't fit my breasts into a bra properly, it's horrible. I do not recommend Dr. Foley. The ONLY good thing I can say about the surgery is that yes my breasts are smaller. I had met Dr. Art Foley years ago as I am an RN in the medical field myself and my husband a Family Practice doctor. He and my spouse were acquaintances. Dr Foley is brilliant, funny and professional. When I discovered I had a skin tumor on my Left cheek that looked suspicious, I did not hesitate to call Dr. Foley's office. He evaluated and excised the tumor in a very prompt fashion. It did prove to be a basal cell carcinoma and he could not have been more empathetic, professional, and expedient. His staff were also courteous and professional and they have a great, fun, work atmosphere. I am finally writing a review after 4 years of being highly disappointed in my breast augmentation. The reason I waited is because I was holding on to hope that Dr. Foley would correct my double bubble in both breasts and low position. I am very embarrassed about the way my breasts look. I have returned to Dr. Foley several times pleading for him to correct my breast deformity. The first year I went back, Dr. Foley had a different resolution every time I saw him. I finally decided to have the corrective surgery done and when I arrived all ready for surgery a year later, Dr. Foley convinced me to get fat injections. This did not help my double bubble or placement. I have returned since then several times and Dr. Foley is not willing to offer any sort of discount on corrective surgery. I don't understand why I would have to pay full price for a double bubble that Dr. Foley created. I even asked Dr. Foley, before I had the surgery in the first place, about the possibility of a double bubble and Dr. Foley assured me that that does not happen to his patients and that he fixes other Dr.'s mistakes. I have recently gone to another board certified plastic surgeon who confirmed I have a double bubble and I am bottoming out. Dr. Foley also said that I am bottoming out now; however, my breasts have been too low and deformed since the surgery. I have learned that I was at a high risk for a double bubble because of the original shape of my breasts. My implants should have gone over the muscle. My advice is to be sure to get a couple of opinions/consultations before committing to surgery. I hope this helps. If you go to Dr. Foley, just make sure you have plenty of money if/when something goes wrong. Foley did my lift/augmentation 9 years ago. Recently one of my saline implants deflated... Now, I've actually wanted them removed for quite some time (I was never very comfortable with them), but this was REALLY bad timing, since the last thing I could afford in this economy was ANY kind of surgery or medical issue. I called Foley to find out what my options were... Turns out the implants were no longer under warranty (so there'd be no financial compensation from the manufacturer). Okay - not much I could do about that. What did Foley have to say? He gave me just one option: removal under anesthesia for $2,000 (actually the quoted cost exceeded $2k, but I don't remember the exact amount - all I could see in my head was $2k - NO WAY I could afford that). Period. End of story. No other options. No deflation of the other implant to at least make them even; no in-office removal (under general anesthetic - an option given by other surgeons); no financial consideration or payment plan. Two-grand, baby, or you're SOL. Now, you may be thinking "boo-hoo - if you could afford to get implants, you could afford the removal" right? Well, no - not now, and not if the removal costs $2k+. 9 years ago I could afford it - not today. It's tough to see the future, but in hindsight I wish I had thought to ask Foley what his policies are when things go wrong... How he deals with this kind of situation... What his priorities are: patient's well-being vs. payday. I didn't ask those questions. You should. Thankfully, there are surgeons who are much more interested in helping patients than they are in raking in the cash. While I don't believe in regrets, today I consider both the implants and choosing Foley as my surgeon, two mistakes I would not repeat if given a do-over. read more

I paid for a surgery on my breast and after surgery he said he didn't do it because he changed his mind. He was to remove breast implant and remove capsule. There was no change and charged me again for a second surgery. Then again no change and told me again he didn't do it and wanted to charge me and schedule me a third time and I had a panic attack in his office. I asked him to go get my husband who drives an ambulance as an emt. Instead he shut the light out and left me in the room entrapped. My husband was wondering where I was and found me in complete unable to move off bed and went out the door and said get me oxygen and Dr.Foley denied me oxygen and didn't want us to leave after my blood pressure sky rocketed. My husband grabbed me off the table after he denied me medical attention because he didn't want us to pass through his waiting room to leave. Once I was at the hospital I was having a massive panic attack with very high blood pressure for the first time. I am young, never had a panic attack or high blood pressure. He scared me to what has he done to me. I was left with what I paid for twice not done, nerve damage and had to go to another surgeon who fixed it on the first surgery. He was verbally abusive and the worst bedside manners. I also checked with the department of health and he has had several similar cases reported on him with the same experience and a high level of complaints according to the health department. I now suffer from extreme PTSD and anxiety and being being treated for it. I have even been hospitalized more than once for blood pressure high due to the panic and anxiety. read more

I had breast augmentation surgery to change out my implants and get Siri. The doctor raised the price from what he originally quoted me by several thousand dollars. The results were horrible! My breasts looked more stretched out and saggier than they were before, which gives the look of being deflated! To make things worse, he convinced me to keep coming in and getting pictures taken to cover his butt, having agreed to fixing the flaws at no cost. Every time I told him I was not happy with the results when I returned for follow-ups, and he would try to tell me that they looked great. He would also become passive aggressive and extremely defensive which made me uncomfortable. My breasts are less symmetrical, and my breasts are much saggier because he didn't want to go larger with my implants and said I didn't need reduction of breast tissue (which I did). There were also a couple of other weird flaws (my breasts bottomed out even with the Siri (I'm not sure the siri was done correctly), the added asymmetry, the way he sewed me up left scar tissue sticking out on the side, and one breast looks full while the other looks flat). Dr. Foley lied to me, told me he would fix it, and then went back on his word and said he wouldn't. His office manager even looked shocked and was shaking her head behind him while he told me he never said he would fix it, because she was there and heard when he agreed to do the touch-up at no cost to me. This guy is dishonest, he is unskilled, and he will not accept feedback. Basically when all else fails, he'll just lie to you, and DENY, DENY, DENY. He ultimately did a poor job on my breasts, made them look worse, lied to me about fixing it, and then without any remorse, told me he no longer felt like fixing it. I would not recommend this doctor! I ended up losing money and looking worse. Even the lipo he did was so minimal, that I told him right after surgery it looked like he hadn't done the lipo at all aside from the bruising. He told me he wasn't worried about it (your patient tells you they're unhappy with the results, and you're not worried about it?!) It's apparent he is not doing his best work or making sure his clients are happy with the results. Now I have to get an attorney and get this fixed.
