He set realistic expectations, clearly explained what would be needed to replace the front and side door locks on my house, and even offered to stop by Home Depot to make sure we had the correct hardware so the job would be done right the first time. He and his assistant arrived within just a few hours and immediately made both my mother and me feel comfortable. One of the lock sets I had purchased wasn't the right fit, so I asked if they could carefully put everything back in the packaging, and they were more than happy to help. They also cut new keys on-site, which was incredibly convenient. They were genuinely some of the nicest people I've worked with, and they completed the entire job in about 30 minutes. Yesterday afternoon I went on Yelp to try to find a mobile locksmith to rekey a lock in an old house. I expected it would cost quite a bit and I might have to wait. Luckily one of the first to respond was Folks Lock and Key. Very nice gentleman said he could come out tomorrow and do the job for less than $100. He showed up with his son promptly on time and completed rekeying the lock with four keys in less than half an hour. They have a nice mobile van and are professional. 10 STARS!!! ********** Jeff and his son Christian are angels! After reaching out to 6 locksmiths, my last phone call was made to Folks Lock & Key. Jeff was very patient, pleasant, answered all my questions and gave me tons of options and various price ranges. Visit was scheduled IMMEDIATELY. I drove from a neighboring city and upon arrival lock was "popped" and they were sitting in the truck awaiting my arrival. At my request we all went in together! 4 keys were made, they oiled a very old deadbolt that had been sticking since purchase. It works better today than it did years ago when it was purchased. They even fixed my garage door, recoded and gave me 2 new garage door openers as well. They even referred me to another company that could haul some debris! I officially have a new locksmith!! 5/5 Stars: Absolute Lifesaver for Specialty Keys! I cannot recommend Folks Lock and Key and Jeff enough! This is the place you need to go if you have a key that gives other places trouble. I wasted an entire afternoon going to three different kiosk locations trying to get a duplicate made, only to be told my keys were specialty keys and they couldn't handle the job. Frustrated, I finally pulled up the maps app and found Jeff. I gave him a call, expressed my slightly desperate need for a short-notice duplication, and he was happy to help me out right away. Jeff has a fantastic one-stop shop setup to accommodate everything. As soon as I arrived, his son took the keys and was incredibly fast and efficient. It seriously felt like I was only there for 5 minutes before the job was done and I had perfect copies in hand. If you have any lock or key needs, skip the big box stores and the kiosks and go straight to Folks Lock and Key. They offer expert service and great attention to detail.
