We were in the area and decided to stop by here. The parking is free so that was a good start. They had some food, a lot of used, and some old things. There was a lot of shade that I really liked. Never knew that this particular flea market existed, so being that we didn't want to go too far from our original planned area of shopping this flea market worked out. Has a small parking spot so first come first serve, free, parking other than that you're looking at out on the street parking walking in. Lots of little shops located inside of their little man-made store fronts. There are also a couple of food trucks on the premises, and a few other little areas to choose from for food choices. The weather was decent. This day wasn't too hot wasn't too cold. Most flea markets you can usually find a little bit of something here and there. The one thing that I did like was it did not look as junkie or messy as some that I have seen was pretty well organized and even with individuals that were selling their own belongings had their areas organized as well. They're open Friday and Saturday so if you're looking to get out and get some steps in on either day, on a pleasant day you can succeed here also get a nice little churro filled with deliciousness while you're at it. read more

If you have a free day on the weekend snd not doing much, it's a good place to waste time. There are some hidden gems there as well. I've found some pretty damn cool stuff there. But I will admit, a lot of it is junk. You just have to take a little extra time to actually look at everything on the table, not just do a quick walk by. There's a cute little tarot shop there and they people are so sweet. Most of the vendors don't speak English as a first language so it can be a little difficult. Other than that, like I said it's a good place to waste time and not spend your whole check. OH!! They do have a few amazing food trucks. Some suck, but other are so good. As a kid i used to hate when my parents would bring me to this flea market. I preferred over the 49er flea market that was located in Rio Linda at the old drive ins, that one was crappy as hell! This flea market always gets packed and to be honest with you, I have no clue why. I've came hundreds of times and to be honest I've never actually bought hot food here, the food vendors just dont look appealing to me. The produce selection is very limited as well as a matter a fact they recently started making a produce section here. I'll tell you what tho, if you like digging through junk to find a gem then this is the flea market you want to come visit. Now that I'm older I could appreciate this more than when I was a kid when I would just look for video games and toys. If you dont have a car, Its okay you could always catch the Light rail which drops you off a block away. The parking here sucks!! Its over crowded and people always double park. Theres is a great place you must go to when coming here for great deals on toiletries they are well organized and super friendly. I haven't been here since I was a teenager with my parents. Went with my family and my in laws. Mainly went for fruit. Everything we bought we were able to taste test as well!' I rate 4 stars when I feel like 3 represents my visit. The fact it was the last weekend of a 5 weekend month and a hot summer day (upper 90s) may have impacted my visit. Downsides: facility is small (could walk it efficiently in under an hour) with only about 1/2 the spaces occupied. Most vendors were selling new, janky items. The used item sellers had a few neat items (loved the Rosie the Riveter lunch box), but mostly hand tools and power tools, used DVDs, video games, tiny figurines. Parking is limited and spaces are narrow. Positives: arriving around noon there were several parking spaces (again, could be end of the month and hot day made things in my favor for parking, just not for used goods shopping options). Zero cost to park or enter. You can bring in outside drinks but nothing alcoholic. Lots of food vendors (maybe 4-6). Some good looking produce and decent prices (limes 4 for $1). Loved the offerings by the vendor with wood (bamboo?) made grooming products. If you arrive and there's no parking, drive to the nearby neighborhoods and check that parking is not forbidden and park. There's a sidewalk and you're going to have to walk around the flea market anyway so be healthy and active and walk! read more

Not the best, but not the worst. Most vendors are the typical vendor you'd see, not that much "rare and vintage hidden gem" type vendors. There is free parking, so that's ALWAYS good. Bring cash and get ready to bargain. If you haven't been, it's worth going to at least once or twice. read more

I took a $300 watch to a vendor to replace the band He asked me to return in an hour, when I returned he gave me a cheap watch and acted like he didn't know what the problem was. i rented a booth on saturday. i tried to leave just before noon because i was feeling ill. i cleaned up all my stuff drove my rented uhaul to the gate but they wouldnt open gate they told me i had to wait until 2pm before they opened it i asked could they make an exception but they said no. i'm 64 yrs old & was feeling sick & nausous but they didnt care they said they would call ambulence but i told them i have a uhaul my friend is sitting in it and she cant drive but they still didnt care. never ever again will i go to that flea market. they should not be allowed to keep someone against their will. read more

I grew up in Sacramento and I have never been here until now (9 years after I moved out of state). We've always gone to Denio's and I remember it to be pretty huge. I decided to stop by here on the way to visiting my sister over a weekend. The entire market is small, but hey, they have FREE parking which is always a plus! Doesn't seem like all the vendors were open but it looks pretty full. I like that all the vendors that were open are close to each other's site. I dislike going to a flea market with an empty vendor spot every other site. They have a couple of barns that are also filled with vendors. All the vendors I interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. I ended up spending much of my time in the indoor stores at the barn, and at Licky Boom Boom. The owner was very nice, and the wife that I have been conversing with was very responsive and super helpful. I ended up buying a lot of Starbucks tumblers for gifts. I was also looking for some Gameboy (Original) games but I was out of luck. I wouldn't mind coming back here again and hopefully check out the produce area next time. read more

To the guys selling and buying video games: 1) If you have prices on the games, please honor those prices and do not defer to, oh that's old pricing and let me look that up on price charting. That is a bait and switch in California, you can check with California weight and balances, it is completely illegal. 2) You also purchased vending stalls outside to sell your goods which is understandable, but they are also ebay and price charting prices. 3) You have a buyer in the market that preys on the other vendors and buys them lower and you resell them in your store at three times the price. 4) Please don't advertise verbally that your prices are lower than others, it is a complete farce. 5) If I were the other vendors, I would completely look at you and your staff and raise questions on everything you have ever purchased in that area. I've experienced better markets around town. I love to look for a good deal and hunt for unique items and cool things. This place is conveniently located on Folsom close to downtown. Larger than I expected, there are plenty of vendors and a very large variety of items. Parking is plentiful I didn't have any trouble finding the location or finding a spot to park. It is every weekend and starts early both days. The downsides though will keep me from coming back. The merchandise for sale left me wanting more. There were some vendors with decent odds and ends. However, the majority of the goods looked like they were pulled from the shelves of a 99 cents store. Everything seemed very common, new, and uninteresting. But if you are looking for very inexpensive cheap goods then this is your place. Otherwise, there are other places that may suit your deal seeking nature better. read more

I am a flea market aficionado. I visit the local flea markets at least once a month and if I am out of town, I make time to visit the local ones. I also from time to time, vend at the flea market to get rid of stuff I don't need anymore. So, I know a thing or two when it comes to buying and selling cheap crap. I had mixed feelings about he Folsom Blvd Flea. On one hand, it was different, if you can imagine a village market in the movies, with little stalls just set up and there were also warehouses filled with little shops. There were actually a lot of food vendors and beer was also served here as well. See, fun for the entire family. Also, parking and entrance was free, which was a plus. If you really didn't like it, all you really lost was a little time. Not sure why I really didn't like it here, perhaps it was the vendors there during the day I visited. All of them seemed pretty on edge, didn't really want to talk to anyone. Some of the pricing among the vendors were higher, much higher than retail pricing. Maybe will come back to this sometime later to try it again. read more

I give this place 2 stars. I was mostly looking for Pokémon cards and or dolls. When I walked in on left side I seen Pokémon cards which caught my attention. I asked how much there was like a 3 pack in a plastic wrap thing. Evolutions. I mean5 bucks for evolutions? I thought amazing. I kept walking nothing grabbed my attention. Some spots or sellers had booster packs or a box. My brain was saying nah. So I went back to the beginning. Looked up an ex on eBay. Didn't find it. Then bottom of card it said 5ban graphics. A fake card. Even another seller told me yeah ones in front are fake. So the 3 pack booster packs I thought they are probably fakes. Too good to be true. They had these lil plastic printed binders not real Pokémon binders. I went across I seen the same plastic binders. Then I seen these weird Pokémon containers I'm like Pokémon don't sell these. I was laughing inside. Remember if it's too good to be true it's fake. As I left there was an argument/altercation in the parking lot I guess a car wanted this black ladies spot. The tall white chick I guess went up to the ladies face. The black lady got closer. Apparently I heard didn't see mind u that the black lady grabbed white ladies neck I turned the corner. The man in car said come on let's go (to park) the black lady said idc u got in my face call the cops. She was getting in her car. White lady was on the phone. She's all that's an assault. My favorite place to go eat and people watch. I don't usually find gems here, but I more go there for the atmosphere. I live in Fair Oaks where it's a little cookie cutter, so I enjoy going out there and seeing all different types. If you have a good sense of humor, don't mind weird smells and loud people yelling it's a perfect place for a Sunday stroll through. If you hit the food truck, try the shrimp fries! Got a belt for $3, saw the SAME EXACT BELT at Claire's for $15. They have a $1 jewelery hut. its the same jewelry the vendors sell at the mall, except they charge 3 for $15. Cool $7-10 steering wheel covers. Cool Mexican snack vendor. $10 Jeans. Tube socks, panties, and your other typical flea market stuff. It's like a small scale Denios. According to some of these reviews, people are prudent and appalled by lower income people. That's sad. If you want to pay for environment, head to the Folsom Outlets. When you drive by this place, you instinctively know to keep driving by. You don't slow down, definitely don't stop, and you don't make any eye contact with those going in. It looks like a refugee camp for meth and crackheads. For real. The worst "flea market" I've ever been to. Talk about junky. I'm sure I've got a better selection of stuff down in my basement, which I haven't been down to in years. It's a little scary. The only reason we braved it was to possibly rescue a pitbull puppy from a life of neglect and abuse. Let me explain. My dog-lover friend has been going every weekend to this crack camp for work related business (for real!), and he said a lot of people are walking around trying to sell pit pups for $50. He felt sorry for the puppies because he was thinking that the fine patrons who would end up buying them wouldn't be able to take care of them. Ya think? So we were on a mission. Unfortunately, we didn't run into anyone trying to pawn off any puppies. I was quite sad. We only saw a few people carrying their own little doggies in their arms, despite all the "NO DOGS" signs posted at the front. We also saw two cop cars in the parking lot. Thank God! I would give this meth market no stars, but I actually bought some big hoop earrings for $1, so I guess in that respect, it was worth one star. read more

Sooooo, I've been living in Sacramento for a year now, and finally got around to Folsom Blvd. Flea. After reading a few of the reviews, its a hit or miss weather or not you should take the time to check this place out. I'm a huge flea market goer, and coming from the Bay Area, I've experienced better. Coming in the Saturday before Mother's Day, just around 2:30, I noticed there were plenty of vendor spots open. I'm aware that the place closes at 5PM, but it was a pretty sad turn out. I did expect a little more. My boys were able to purchase Fidget Spinners for $4 each, which was pretty cool, but everything else, seemed pretty much the usual -- on what you should expect at a flea market. Imported/ GENERIC toys/ and other do-dads. Tech wires/cords, thick blankets, "designer" sunglasses $5-$15, and other randoms. ONE thing that did stand out the most was the game shop/ that sold used Nintendo/Video consoles. The family really enjoyed checking that place out, it was a lot different than what other flea markets have to offer. But overall the flea was a 2/5 on my grade scale. One of the markets that is close to my house, it makes it a bit convenient. I have not visited this location in quite some time prior to my last visit. There are many vendors during the weekends and a lot of customers walking down every aisle looking for vintage deals. From furniture, electronics, foods, clothes, shoes, entertainment, you can talk to sellers and try to get a deal if you aren't satisfied. Of course, they may not give in and refuse to go any lower. Besides that, there are food courts with great options from Mexican tacos, burritos, elote, snacks, etc. There was one booth that kind of grossed me out. It was a bunch of food products that were already opened but still selling! WTF? I would be alert if I purchased a opened box of chips or smushed box of crackers. Anyways, I suggest coming early to find parking because it can fill up quite quickly. read more

First off, careful where you park. People don't care how to park correctly here. This place reminds me of how shopping would be if we had another world war. Each booth has a variety of items that are garage sale quality. Ever wonder where those old / used stuff went? Such as: VHS, clothes, collectibles, power tools, fan, art work, etc. You can find those here! The prices are acceptable else you can negotiate with them. I didn't trust the food here though based on the sanity of the place. It's good to experience once to appreciate other shopping options. Good selection of movies, video games, books and magazines. Art supplies are a bargain. Quality art supplies such as Micron pens, oil paints, and coloring pencils are sold here. Magazines are sold 3 for $5.00. Movies are aplenty and it's fairly cheap. When Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines first came out retail stores were selling it at around the $24.99 price tag but a vendor here sold it for only twelve bucks brand new. The quality of the shoes and socks, on the other hand, is a different story. The shoes being sold here are shoddy and starts falling apart at the soles in a short period of time. There's a perfectly good reason why socks are so cheap because the material is tread bare, holes start developing in a few short months. I don't shop here as often as I used to because the grocery store, unfortunately, closed up shop back in 2010. But if you're looking for the latest movie releases at bargain prices then the Flea Market is definitely the way to go. read more

So ok, sure, this place is dirty, could be smelly, and you have various tables and "cottages" with various items. You can, twice a year, sell your items here, like a garage sale, without a business license, but beyond that you'll have to have a business license. If you're here just to look around, here are what I come here for: bras. You can get three bras for ten dollars and they last you about a year or two as long as you don't put them in a drier. most of the bras are very pretty. but of course not high quality (I call them my every day bra vs. my weekend bras, sports bras, etc.) Other than that, you might want to get some of your spices here if the lady who sells spices in bulk is here. There are also places with kitchen stuff. Again, perhaps not the best quality, but honestly, I haven't had a problem with my soup bowls, or stock pot i got from here. One thing that I almost always get here, is filled churros. I. Love. Them. I like the one with caramel, but they do have the ones filled with chocolate too. Anyways, if you're coming here, whether because you want to purchase a bird, a bra, or a book, I hope you find something you love. read more

I absolutely love going to flea markets! Everything thing is super cheap! This one in particular is my favorite. Reminds me a but if the Berkeley one in size. When you first walk in through the main entrance make sure you take that first right and look to your left. There is tons of really cute fashion jewelry all for $1! I've been going there for almost 10 years. Her name is Secilla. Then we always go back down the main aisle and get really cheap socks and sunglasses. You have to stop and eat some of the food. I live for the churros :) There's also a guy who sells cute Rasta clothes. There's so many different vendors that you cancer lost in this place, but it's not very big. Happy shopping! read more

Nothing makes my weekend brighter than a trip to the flea market. The chaos, the drama, the haggling, the cornucopia of goods and sundries, the corn dogs, the people. I inherited this love and appreciation from my mother, and since she grew up around the corner from this particular location, I have been coming here since I was a little kid. I remember getting a baby doll here when I was about 7 years old and being absolutely thrilled! If that makes me ghetto, so be it! I think I was just a gracious child who appreciated a new toy. Nowadays I go here for different purposes: looking for furniture, record scouting, junk looting, people watching, Barack Obamaware....Yes - you should check out some of the wonderful stuff they have with our president-elect's image. I bought Mike a black tee-shirt with a picture of Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha from the Folsom Flea Market for Christmas. It has cursive gold lettering that says "First Family of the United States" and at the bottom spells OBAMA in graffiti block lettering. It's dope. I also came up on some Obama earrings. Awesomeness. These types of unique finds are what the Flea Market is all about. Yes, you have to do a little digging sometimes and you MUST haggle, especially for electronics. They EXPECT you to haggle. Anyone who knocks this place - or any flea market - for being ghetto obviously has no idea what a flea market's raison d'etre is. That's like going to Disneyland and saying its too bright, or going to a Metallica show and saying it's too loud. Get with the program, folks...or better yet, go to the mall! read more

Visiting this place for the first time on a saturday. This Flea Market is no Denios or Galt Flea Market. Its smaller vendors selling their junk. It seems like a place where junk goes to die and hopefully someone buys it. I was walking through one of the buildings and one of the vendors was offering stuff for free. Most of the shops in the buildings weren't open. There are a few produce vendors and antiques but far and few. There are plenty of places selling food. A few Mexican candy shops. other than that its just junk or excess couponing products. I will say, if you are looking to walk around and just pass time this is a good option as its free parking and free admission. Some people even had their dogs.
