I went to Fon's Clock shop based on reviews I read here on Yelp! They did not disappoint. I went there to see if he could help me either fix these clocks we found at resale shops or garage sales or help me find replacement clock fitups for all three clocks. I spent the night before trying to measure and look online to see if I could find anything close. He had them in stock and understood having to measure everything perfectly. I was extremely pleased that he had them in stock and readily able to be replaced. Loved that this was all completed with one day service! I will definitely go back for all my other clock needs! He refurbished an old wall clock I have. Did an excellent job works well once again. He wasn't able to replace some old glass but it's an old clock and wasn't expecting him to refurbish everything. The man who helped me was informative, and gave me a free estimate. I brought him three clocks to examine. The first was simply misaligned and easy to fix. He said it would need repairs and would charge $175. The second clock he said was very expensive (it is not), and would need extensive repairs $250. The last and most precious to me was a cuckoo clock. He said it was not very valuable, and that the music box had been taken out by someone. He said it would never play music again, but he could make it work again for $275. The cuckoo clock DOES have a music box in it, and it is easy to see. He is either ignorant which is disturbing for his trade, or blatantly telling a lie for some strange reason. This is NOT someone I would trust my clocks with, nor give my business to. Please do your research. You will find good people out there to help you!!! read more

I acquired a 1920s pocket watch and knew it would need some cleaning, adjustment and lubrication. Fortunately this shop is really close to the house! The owner has been at this location since the '80s and it is obvious that he knows what he is about. It took about a month or so which I knew was most likely necessary to get my watch in good working order. He had it cleaned and polished and working great. I just hope he has a trainee because it is getting harder to find good mechanical clock and watch repair. Great service! read more

Fon is a very talented watchmaker/clockmaker. I own a vintage Seiko quartz diver's watch (7548-700B, circa 1979) that ran down continuously only six or seven months after a battery change. Fon immediately knew why and replaced the battery another shop had put in my watch with a proper Seizaken battery. The watch has run perfectly for three years since his repair. I now live outside Texas, but I take my watches to him to service when I travel there. Highest possible recommendation. I now collect vintage Seikos, and he will be servicing them. read more

We inherited a 100 yr old German grandfather clock that we transported in a Pod from eastern us to Burleson, Tx. It did not work before we transported and did not work after. We called Mr. Fon and he drove out to our house for an estimate to fix it. He gave us a quote how much to fix it would be and when he could get it done. We agreed. Having experienced the good, as well as the bad while having high-end timepieces serviced, I was somewhat reluctant to take my wife's Rolex in for a major repair. However, Fon did an exceptional job, honored his estimate (which was fair) and was accurate with regard to repair time. He also didn't try to up-sell me on things the watch didn't need. Mr Fon took my family's ancient clock for repair. When I got it back a week later, the heavy brass springs that meant the clock ran for 7 days on one winding had been replaced by flimsy, thin black springs that would not even run for 2 days. The heavy brass gong with such a deep, melodic tone had been replaced with a thin metal piece that sounded tinny and most unpleasant. For this, he had charged us $80. He refused to talk to us when we returned. My husband was ill and died shortly thereafter so this is not a matter I care to pursue in this world.
