I inherited my parent's mantle clock when they downsized, but it stopped working after moving four times in five years. Since my parents passed away recently, this clock is an even more special keepsake. We are new to the area (and the state of Texas), and it's been a challenge to choose where to do business without knowing anyone to offer a recommendation. However, I want to shop local, and K & B is close to home, so I took a chance (and I'm so glad I did). They are amazing! Not only was my clock ready within a week, but there was no charge for the work! I absolutely do not hesitate to recommend them! I only hope they are around for a long time, because we have both a grandfather clock and cuckoo clock (family heirlooms, as well) which require repairs. So I bought a clock and took it to them for inspection/repair if needed. They had the clock for 7 months. Finally I called to pick the clock up. I got home and was missing the pendulum. Called the shop and she giggled that yes they kept them separate. So I drove back and picked that up. Got home and set it up, it was running two minutes slow in 24 hours so I adjusted the pendulum. The clock hands still don't agree with the time. Bottom line is save your self a ton of time and grief and go somewhere else. read more

I was a little hesitant to try this place, based on the only other review, but since clock repair places are few and far between I thought I would swing by. I only had the pleasure of meeting the wife but she was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Since I know nothing about clocks this could easily have been a costly repair and I would have been none the wiser. Fortunately, her husband took one look at it and in less than 5 minutes my clock was working and it cost me all of $1.50! So it has been a VERY long time since I have visited this awesome shop. First off, if you love clocks you'll feel like a kid in a candy shop! There are so many beautiful and cool clocks there. I got to hear them all go off at the top of the hour and it was glorious!!! Mac was awesome in helping me today! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and HONEST!!! I brought him three clocks to examine. The first he fixed on the spot. He said it was just misaligned. Another shop was going to charge me $175. He did it for free!!! The second he said was not an expensive clock. He would try to get it functioning the easy way first. If it would need further repair beyond that he would contact and consult me further. This is very fair. The last clock is quite precious to me. It was my grandfather's cuckoo clock. He said he would also have to do a tiered process with that one much like the previous. He has assured me he can make it work again. It was also interesting that he said that the last thing he would work on was the music box. A previous shop said it didn't have one. I was treated extremely well every step of the process for our clock repair, from the initial call to a follow up call after the repair. The repair for our clock was completed as they told me it would be, when they told me it would be and for the price they quoted me. They stayed late one afternoon for me to drop the clock off, and told me that they often are there later than their posted hours, to call first and they would wait for me! When I picked up our clock after a new mechanism was installed, they spent quite awhile explaining all the features and options for chimes, bells, maintenance, etc.. and had the same instructions written out for me as well. A month or two after our repair, I called inquiring about the pendulum not swinging as it used to, and they did some diagnostics over the phone. I was told if what they suggested did not work, to let them know and they would see what they could do, possibly even coming by the next time they were in my area. I feel like this clock repair shop is top notch and highly recommend them. read more

My red flag should have gone up when I first dropped my mothers clock off. Mac came across as a total #$%$! I have taken clocks to his shop in the past and he did the job. This time he was just a total jerk from the beginning. He started by saying I can pull some junk parts...etc I figured he was having a bad day. Months went by and I heard NOTHING. I called and go a line of BS. I have had the clock back for a couple of weeks, it still loses time. He didn t even try to find new hands or even a new bezel.
