I discovered this obscure store today and was blown away. I went there seeking a watch repair place to service my Rolex watch and a Fossil watch. Within minutes my Fossil watch was good as new and their charge to fix my Rolex was very reasonable. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off! After hundreds of dollars and months in their shop, my watch still didn't work. They held it hostage until I paid for all work that leaved it still not working. I gave it a real professional afterwards, he said it literally took minutes to get working. I bought a $4k Breitling Navitimer GMT 46 sight unseen from their online store. When the watched arrived the exterior condition of the watch case and crystal was as they described. HOWEVER I noticed that the movement was very loud and had a metal binding sound. I reached out to them and I was told by Michael at The Watch Preserve that this is normal for this movement cause it only winds in one direction. I haven't had a chance to wear the watch until this week as I was traveling to a different time zone on a business trip. So what better time than now to use the second time zone hand. How wrong I was! The second time zone hand losses about 13 hours a day. After doing some research about the loud moment and now the second time zone hand. It appears that is needs a complete service at Breitling costing close to $1k. Imagine buying a $4k watch and having to pay 25% more ($1k) to have it repaired and work correctly? Yeah me either. So again I reached out to Mike at The Watch Preserve and I offered to split the cost $500 each. The Watch Preserve declined my offer and suggested I sent the watch to him and "his watch maker" for the fix and pay him $500. Yes pay him $500. He also said it would be a 3 months before they would get to it. So again imagine buying a watch for $4k. Then having to ship it back to the people you bought the watch from in the first place and pay them $500 to fix the watch you just bought. Oh and you'll have it back in 3 months. Them seem like nice people and the watch was in the condition (externally) that they did in fact describe. However that is the only nice thing I can say at this time and I'm in shock that this was their solution to the headache they gave me. I strongly suggest not rolling the dice and don't buy a watch from them online sight unseen. read more

I had a number of antique watch movements and one watch to sell. I don't even live in Fort Worth but I could see from Nik's online activities that he knows his antique watches. I emailed him to see if he was interested and he was so kind. He asked to see some photos and we agreed on a price for the movements. Then I shipped everything and just kind of hoped it would work out. Now here is the remarkable part - when he was able to inspect them in person, he recognized that one of the watches was quite valuable, and he contacted me to report he needed to send me more money! After making several attempts at jewelry retailers I soon learned that they retailers are not prepared to provide any after market service. no matter how simple the repair service request is. This doesn't disappear when you leave the low end throwaway retail store. Went on-site to purchase a watch without scheduling an appointment, as I'd found the place when searching for watch stores, when they told me it was okay that I didn't have an appointment and sat me down to find a watch. When sat down I found out any watch I'd be interested is not on-site and they'd schedule me for the upcoming Thursday around my work schedule to look at a selection. Fair enough, so I scheduled in person, took their business card and their contact in my phone and left. Fast forward to Thursday, I sent a text to double-check the appointment, only for them to tell me there was never an appointment scheduled, and that I'd have to reschedule as the person who scheduled me was on a business trip, and that my name wasn't anywhere- despite scheduling in person with my name and phone number.
