This place was a totally life saver for me this morning I was doing some work just right up the street from this wonderful place and I noticed one of my tires getting flat because the tire valve was broken and leaking air luckily I was able to make it to this place just before it was completely out of air, their team was ready to work as soonest I parked I just had to check in their office spoke to some gentlemen Im assuming the owner or the manager told him I need a valve replacement and he said he had to check my tire to make sure it was still a safe one a crew member was already standing by my van waiting for the man's command and rapidly proceed to replace it and I was out of there very quickly. I took my car to Fonseca's to repair an oil leak that I thought was caused by the oil pressure sensor. Elsie called to tell me it wasn't the sensor but a leak around the oil pan seal and did I want them to continue. I said yes and it was nice of them to reach out and give me the choice. While the pan was off they discovered some other mechanic had dropped a bolt into the pan and a gasket came off a fitting and was in the pan as well. They showed me a filter screen that was covered in material that looked like mud. They cleaned the screen, took out the trash that was in the pan and continued w/ an oil change. The car sounds great now. If you need repairs on your vehicle, the folks in the Fonseca family are reliable, honest and careful with your money. I bought a new truck 2-3 years ago now, and on the WAYYY home from the dealer . Got a hole in my tire! so bummed ! drove over there and asked them if they could fix the hole or even if it was fix able. they fixed it. when I asked them how much, they were like don't worry about it , enjoy the truck . I had let them know it was the trucks first day out the lot! with that said though that hole fill , patch thing it lasted 40,000 miles plus ! I put 2200 pounds in the bed of the ol girl and the plug STILL STAYED!!! I was very impressed! i also put a harley in the back of the truck and drove from here to tennesee and back very impressed! so when I needed new tires I knew I needed to go to them! I ended up getting a deal on facebook marketplace for some tacoma take offs for a really good price. but I came to the Fons to have them installed and balanced . as well as the tpms sensors moved over! always a chill cool , SPEEDY vibe! A lot has changed since Juan has moved to El Camino Real from the Industrial Park. His wife has come to work with him and she has to have the worst customer service skills. Her attitude definitely leaves a lot to be desired. :( Juan now charges $30 to plug a tire (was $10 before). His prices on tires have skyrocketed (was very competitive on new and used tires). Now used tires are the price of new tires and new tires are 30% above Costco and other tire stores. I have been going there 10 years and have been very happy. This past year customer service continues to erode while prices go up exponentially. In my humble opinion the recipe for disaster. His family has been forced out and replaced with his wife. What started off as good service turned into a lack of consistency. I went and asking these guys for a minute paid favor as I was swapping my rims and tires, where they committed to doing the job and then regressed. Unbeknownst to them I spent a long time changing my plans to accommodate the favor that I was paying for them to do so when they regressed . it really screwed up my day with nothing accomplished, except for buying a very unsafe used tire cash no receipt very shady. Super disappointed. After talking with a lady there and a young guy the young guy sent me to Hollys Tire down the street where they took care of me immediately and laughed at the lack of consistency they keep hearing about from this place. I have to say that Fonseca Jr Tires is a life saver!!! My family and I were on a trip up to LA from San Diego and had a flat tire on the freeway just north of the border patrol station. We found them on google and rushed right over. They took amazing care of us and replaced all 4 tires and gave us an alignment for the same price as two tires at all the other places we called. They were friendly and got us in and out on a Saturday afternoon in just 45 minutes. They even had donuts in the waiting room for the kids!!! I needed some used tires for a trailer I recently purchased and went onto Yelp to see who in San Clemente sold used tires. I found Fonseca tires on Yelp and had a great experience with them today. They offered two nearly new tires for a very reasonable price and put them on immediately. I then realized I needed to have my tires on my Sequoia rotated and again they took care of it immediately. Wow, so great! My usual place was super busy for a last min nail in my tire. I went to Big O tires when the manager told me "Sure, pull into the bay". So I moved my auto into the bay and he tell his guy to check my tire pressure, the guy filled my tires with air and told me "all done"... ugh! I just left, that was truly a bad sign! I quickly called Fonseca and they said They were busy but communicated that clearly and told me to come back at 2:30. I came back, they fixed my tire super quick and were super personable. Came in on a Saturday afternoon needing 1 tire, got 2 great tires for a great price. Then they let me know my 1 tire that wore out was due to an alignment issue which was noticed before even hooking up the alignment machine(it takes a trained eye to see stuff like that) I have been running a commercial truck shop for a number of years and after watching them work I am very impressed with their operation and their quality and will definitely recommend them to everyone I come across that needs tires or alignment, great job guys! read more
