Streamline Automotive has been my go to mechanic shop for years. I trust Streamline with all my vehicles including my adult children's vehicles. Honest and capable is how I would describe how Chris runs his shop. He does regular oil changes and brakes without issue. He also replaced the complete Engine and Transmission (custom built 700r4) and basically rebuilt all the systems of a 1978 G30 Itasca RV for me and my family and it runs amazing. Not only was it a major major job, but he and his team did an amazing job. And the price was a very good value, worth every penny. It takes money to run a business so he charges fair pricing for excellent work. I would HIGHLY recommend streamline automotive in San Clemente for any job large or small. Drive as fast as you can to this honest shop! I went there with my son to get his air conditioning fixed, we had heard from another place that Streamline had the equipment our car needed to get the job done. Well when we arrived we were told by Chris that we should try the dealer because his niece had same experience with same model car & it might be under warranty. He said try that if it doesn't work then come back & I'll take care of it but I don't want to take your money if it's not necessary! We took it to dealer & yep, it was covered paid ZERO. I brought my 1990 F250 in to Streamline of San Clemente in August in preparation to drive to Massachusetts after exiting active duty. The technicians performed a complete tune up as well as fluid changes to the transmission, dif, and a brake job. They not only met, but completed repairs ahead of schedule. The truck performed excellently the entire 3,000 mile drive back and continues to perform excellently. The techs also reached out on several occasions to make sure the truck was performing well. I cannot sing the praises of this establishment more, I highly recommend Streamline to anyone looking for a go to spot or as in my case a trustworthy, professional business in a pinch. read more

Do not get your brakes done here. I took my truck into have the brakes redone after a friend messed up some stuff on it. The notified me of this but still managed to put the parts in backwards. I found out later when my wheel came apart and the axel slide out due to this. I am lucky it came apart while I was turning onto a road and not doing highway speed. One of my friends died in an accident because of this. I should have left the shop assured that this was done properly. read more

Here's our story...we recently returned to Idaho from after a family trip and a wedding reception in Southern California. We unfortunately experienced some significant problems with our vehicle. We were unfamiliar with the area and we felt overwhelmed by the problem of finding a mechanic that could fix our vehicle and be fair and honest with the repairs. Our new in-law family recommended a shop but this shop was booked tight for several days. I asked the shop manager for a recommendation and he quickly suggested that we contact Chris at Streamline Automotive. Chris was understanding of our situation and he told us to bring the car by asap and they would take a look at it. We really needed our vehicle operational and reliable that day. We had planned to shop at the Outlet Stories in San Clemente. I brought my car in and Chris and his staff immediately started with diagnostics and then ordering parts and outlining the repair. Chris offered to drive me anywhere I needed to be while they worked on my car. Chris kept me informed about the repairs. A few surprises arose and the Streamline Automotive staff jumped into action and stayed after hours to make sure that we had our vehicle functioning properly. Once the repairs were complete, Chris picked me up. We made the long and hot drive across the desert and back to Idaho without any complications. In fact, a few days after returning Chris contacted to find out how the vehicle was operating. Chris and his team at Streamline do excellent work at a very fair price. Chris is also one the most honest people in San Clemente. I had repairs done there once before and was very happy. Just recently I brought my wife's minivan in as it needed some pretty extensive engine work. Chris ran some engine tests and investigated and found that the manufacturer had issued an extended warranty alert for my engine problem. He promptly told me and the dealer did indeed cover the repairs when I brought it in. So, great quality work with an honest repair shop is hard to beat. I had a sudden issue with my brakes, to the point where I didn't feel comfortable driving my car, and Chris and his team went above and beyond to accommodate my car into what was clearly already a very busy day for them. But you would never be able to tell with the time and demeanor displayed when calling, dropping my car off the next day, and when picking up. Cool, calm, and professional.
