This took about a month. Then they said they filed a claim with the Manufacturer. Two months later told me that they mistakenly had not filed the claim. Once all this was done. They gave me an estimate and then said they had made a mistake and raised the price $1100. I contacted their CEO and made her aware of the problem. Never heard back, so my fear is that their lack of concern for their customer starts at the very top. My opinion is if you are looking for an efficient, accurate and customer focused company. Pass on this one.

He came to our house 3 times, always wanting to charge us for his trip and time. After the third attempt to fix the floor he told us the heating element manufacturer had sold him a defective product. He refused further attempts to try to make the situation right and also told us "This is the fifth house I've had this happen to in the last teo years. There is nothing that can be done." As a laughable solution he istructed us to purchase hardwood flooring, at our own expense, and he would give us a discount to install it. When I questioned how much the materials were I was told that they could use a cheaper material, but this would cause the labor to increase. We ended up using another company. The estimate was pretty close to what Artisan quoted, but I could at least understand the breakdown of what I was paying. I'm sure Victor is a nice guy and I'm sure he does fine work, but if I can't get straight answers on your estimate I'm going to shop elsewhere.

That alone should let you know how we feel about their superior work and professionalism. For this project we wanted to install hardwood floors in our living room and upstairs landing. We just wanted to tie all the rooms together since Dave's did another job about a year ago. Everything is simple from the quote, demolition, installation and sanding to the finish. Communication is great and you always know where they are in the progress. Absolutely no surprises is the 3 times we have used them. Kelly did our second job and we requested him to do this job too. I paid for 3 coats of poly and an additional "radcoat" supposedly to make the floors more durable…read more They sanded down the middle, did not do the corners or edges at all. After I complained they scraped off the poly and somewhat fixed the corners. Not great, but better. Applied one more coat and then the final coat so I got one less coat then I paid for. First time they left the doors unlocked, second time they left them not only unlocked but wide open in sub zero weather. The house was vacant so I guess they thought that was ok. When I asked them about it they said it was hard to lock old doors and hard to make old floors look good. I thought that was what they did? It was a 1940's house so not ancient. They have every excuse in the book ready when you call to complain. Not the same floor company I used to get for all my rehabs. Very sub par work which it appears to be from a variety of sub contractors. Sad that what was once a good business is now just a scam operation cutting corners whenever they can. Check all reviews - wish I had.

The problem was when the work started, he wanted to do whatever he wanted and ignore my wishes .He just talked and talked on the phone until he distracted me. I didn't live at the site, so when I asked for updates with photos he said I didn't trust him. That was my mistake to feel sorry for him. He needs to micromanaged!, or he will take advantage of the situation. After weeks of me realizing I made a big mistake hiring him, he called and created a situation which would cost a lot more and prolong the project. It turned out to be a Huge embellishment, and just a way to get more money out of me per other experts who inspected the problem. I stopped the project with him. Now the bill arrived and he claimed he was allowed to inflate the cost of materials. Then the labor time he quoted for the whole project was already used up and gone over as he claims, but the project wasn't near to being done. Plus even with the unfinished work I still owed $3k beyond his contract with me. Find another contractor.

She even ordered a bigger piece of the one we thought would work and sent it FedEx to our house. We were able to complete the work order documents and payment on our computer. Easy! Our rebate is a digital shopping card for Costco which I did receive after installation but haven't used yet. The installation went smoothly! Great team of 3 guys who were respectful and cleaned up well after. The seam we were worried might show since it is in the middle of the large room isn't visible! So happy!

From the get-go this was a bad experience. The carpet was creased after installation and they…read moreinsisted time would fix it and it would fluff up. Months passed, finally they replaced it. They brought the wrong wooden molding and it did not match. They then came back with the right molding and were inches short. 3rd time they came to do the molding it was finished....but they rehung the closet doors wrong (backwards) in the rails and the doors wouldn't move. Finally came back and rehung them. Stair carpeting was stretched too tight and was fraying at the edges. Came back and reinstalled. New carpet guy said it looked like the original job looked rushed. Designer visited and said the stairs looked overstretched. Left some scuffs on my walls. Total time until the room was done: 6 months. Yes I'm absolutely serious that this Costco sponsored business took 6 months to finish carpeting 1 room and 1 staircase. All I got was an apology from Costco and Shaw carpets. Find someone else for your carpeting. This was expensive and time consuming and endlessly frustrating.

After a few months of planning, watching Youtube videos on installing wood floors and trying to convince my wife, cooler heads prevailed. So I sucked up my pride and called in the three top recommended Flooring companies in Minneapolis. Our job was a little unique (in my mind), because it involved replacing some cherry wood boards in the high traffic zones and sanding and refinishing the floors in the low traffic areas. I received three quotes as well as did quite a bit of research online and with friends. One friend went through a big box store and in my mind didn't quite get the deal I was looking for. The best quote and most straight forward contractor was a guy from Rhodes Hardwood named Dusty. I trust contractors about as far as I can throw them, which at last attempt was halfway across a job site. However, Dusty seemed honest and straight forward. The wife and I both felt like he wasn't trying to sell us on a larger job scope, but he was more than willing to stay inside the budget and requests. We didn't want to redo the whole house, and he didn't pressure us to do so. We ended up sanding and refinishing more than I expected just to get a great blended look, and the work looked great and we were able to keep more floor than expected. I included a picture of the transitional zone. He even told us "he wasn't going to charge extra for the extra work." Although I wish I could say that I was man enough to refinish my old wood floors like an HGTV pro, I suppose a guy with a happy wife is even more of a star.

The did an excellent job and completely changed the look of my house. My wife and I are elated with our second floor now. I really appreciated the online estimate calculator on their website as well as the ability to email pictures and dimensions for more accurate estimations rather than scheduling an in-home estimate. I performed some prep work myself (removing prior floor coverings and baseboard trim) which helped save a bit of money. The job cost a little less than I thought it would and in my opinion was an excellent value. I highly recommend these guys.

Our roof was done sloppily with collateral damage to the dormers that caused a leak. They claim that there is nothing wrong with the roof itself and therefore they do not have responsibility for the leak, and because the leak only occurs with heavy storms with wind, the leak cannot be caused by the roof. However, this leak did not exist prior to their work on the roof. Basically stay away, they are not to be trusted to stand by their work.
