Quick and friendly service, and most importantly good donuts. They also have a breakfast menu and coffee, though I haven't tried it. Their donuts are really good though. I recommend the apple fritter or their OG glazed. Both are fantastic. Get there early because their inventory sells out quickly. read more

I was greeted by a rude man, and he was very passive aggressive. I got a bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel and it was awful. Everything was soggy and tasted like it was really old. Well new ownership has me dropping the rating for this location. Over $8 for 2 donuts and a plain large coffee is definitely not worth it. "Gourmet" donuts for nearly $40 a dozen. Coffee is about equivalent to any gas station coffee. Donuts are good but no where near that. Bagel and biscuit sandwiches for $7 each. No wonder they are never busy. read more

Unlike the name might suggest, Daylight Donuts has a a pretty good selection of food other than donuts! I went with a friend and we both got Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissants, Caramel and Irish Cream Iced Coffees, and the Red Velvet and Apple Spice Donuts (already gone before I remembered to snap a pic) . I also wanted to provide an updated menu for 2023! I heard they have new owners but service and the experience were still great! Will be back! read more

C'mon now! I've been buying donuts here for at least 3 years, but my most recent visit was disappointing. At $20 to $30 per dozen, I expect more than a donut with a size somewhere between a golf ball and a tennis ball. The cake donuts were slightly better sized, but the jelly and raised donuts and any raised donuts, in fact, were vastly undersized. Okay this review is simply for their Boba. Not their donuts. That is a separate review. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend Bobas here. The tapioca is not nearly enough. The drink is okay at best but I have had far better elsewhere. Further, the straws are not wide enough so it make it hard to eat the tapiocas at the bottom. We have been going to Daylight Donuts for years, unfortunately, the business sold and it is no longer the same. The previous owners were so friendly and welcoming and the new people working are the complete opposite. The variety of donuts are poor and the quality of the donuts are not the same. Recently, we walked in and stood at the front counter for several minutes without anyone assisting us. As we walked out we noticed the worker on a smoke break behind the building. This is a find bakery for me. Not often do you find a bakery this is as much fun as their owners. Retired professor Jeffrey Weaner and his wife Cambodia human rights activist delivers a wonderful bakery breakfast and donuts and many other pastries. I generally like locally owned restaurants over the commercial franchises. Daylight donuts is a good place and smelled great when I opened the door to enter this morning. It was clean, had a variety of donuts on display and the staff member who greeted me was friendly and helpful. I had an old fashion cake donut which I would rate five stars. I also had the peach fritter which I would rate as two stars. It was 99% dough and 1% peach (I could barely taste or see any peach). I would buy donuts here again, just not the peach fritter! read more

Vacation! Johnson City, Tennessee has a little donut shop that went beyond our expectations! This was our first time here so immediately when we walk in we figure it was a simple donut shop with a few options to choose from.. granted we went later in the day so they were sold out of some, but then it happened. They said their donuts can be dipped and filled with whatever it is we wanted.. wow. My dream come true. They had several options for filling, ranging from black raspberry, to chocolate and regular Bavarian cream, cherry filling and more! You also had a choice to dip them in glaze, maple icing, and chocolate! We got several donuts and I was able to try a few. The three I had chosen are as follows: glazed black raspberry filled, chocolate black raspberry filled, and maple iced with Bavarian cream. Boy oh boy they were all so DELICIOUS, and not to mention, they loaded these to the max! The donuts were so pillowy and soft. The raspberry filling was perfectly sweet and paired so nicely with the glaze. I was so pleasantly surprised with the maple and Bavarian cream donut. Everything about it really completed the experience. Generally, glazed raspberry is my favorite donut but this maple Bavarian cream really gave it a run for its money. While being my least favorite of the three, the chocolate raspberry filled was still very delicious and definitely something I would order again. ALSO, I forgot I tried the apple fritter and it was quite possibly the best one I've had to date.. overall this donut experience was a great one and definitely worth a second trip to.. if only I lived closer read more

Too pricey for what you get. we ordered 2 chicken salad croissants, 2 plain donuts and 1 smoothie total was $30. The smoothie tasted like water, it had no flavor, the croissants were tiny and not good at all for $14! The donuts were very small and not good either. I love daylight donuts but today I thought I'd try the new gravy biscuits. Imma let y'all know right now they ain't worth it, I am a big gravy biscuit fan so I figured it'd be worth a try but they were not up to par. Honestly wasn't expecting much and still was let down. Brief description, So you get one biscuit split in half and a decent amount of gravy but the gravy was very runny tasted like ham and the biscuits were mediocre. Perfect location near ETSU on the other end from the Earth Fare on State of Franklin. Get the donuts fresh in the morning -- really good selection .. a little short on special selection but I am used to places like VooDoo Donuts. Everything is fresh and the staff is super friendly and anxious to make sure you find what you are looking for. It has a drive through on the side of the building which is convenient when there isn't a line. They always throw in something for free like a few donut holes. If you go later in the day you can get a really good price on a dozen near closing time. Very competitive in the donut deparmentt to Dunkin but not for coffee. - I would not recommend the coffee here .. but donuts are a very good value and made fresh daily. read more

I came back to Tennessee and I like live in the middle of nowhere Tennessee, so I always go to Johnson city for shopping and as I was leaving the store saw someone with something that looked like boba tea there was a donut place I had always passed by and never though to look at the menu so I decided to drive by it and on a poster paper I read we make boba tea I parked my car and ran inside they did Not disappoint and the owners where so nice after ordering a boba tea I decided to also have one of there croissant chicken sandwiche it was so good!
