Lady at the counter was very sweet and made sure everything was correct before I left. I ordered the griot (fried pork), with black rice, sweet potato fries, and mac and cheese. The pork was tender (but crispy), flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Mac and cheese was kreole style which I liked because it's not overly cheesy but still had that baked topping on it. Black rice is my favorite and SK does it wonderfully. Moist, flavorful, and a large portion. Absolutely tore it up. That said, the star of the plate was unexpectedly the sweet potato fries. They were crispy and had some kind of sweet sauce on them. Absolutely the best I've ever had. This review is for a pickup order but I imagine it's only better for dine in. The wife and I will absolutely be back. Do not miss this hidden gem. It's inside the Yard food hall and parking can be tricky but it's worth it.

The lovely hard wood floors were eye-catching. During the event, I wondered around the property and got to see into many rooms and even the upstairs. The manor is setup great for a wedding with rooms to get ready in. There is a decent size bar in the center of the first floor. The main ballroom was where everyone was seated. The large chandelier is stunning. There was a large wrap around porch which is where the food was located for this event and made it a nice flow to walk around. There was plenty of bathrooms and easily found right outside of the ballroom. The food provided by Dubsdread was good and a decent variations of options. Everything was kept hot. The tech they sent didn't speak English so we couldn't even communicate what the problems were to them. - The venue is grossly over priced ($18k+ for 5pm-11pm) - Josephine, the owner or operator of the business, was not communicative. We asked her to confirm things multiple times well before the reception and heard very little to nothing back so we had to hope she was going to deliver. She was rude and dismissive at times to my family members and wedding planner. - we ended up having to put together much of the decorations ourselves even though we paid for the staffing Overall, we did the best we could with what we had to enjoy our special night. But we would not recommend our experience to others - especially not for the price they asked of us.

The overall atmosphere is perfect for any special occasion and it lends itself very well to beautifully composed photographs. Inside the lighting continued setting the perfect mood with dim lighting, low playing music and upscale table settings. Not idle for photo taking but great for setting the right mood. While absolutely beautiful and stunning, for all the luxury and European charm, I wasn't too thrilled with the food and the room the reception was held in was quite small. And I'm sure it all came with a hefty price-tag.

The ribs were tender and flavorful, the chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, and every side dish was cooked just right. One thing I really appreciated was that nothing was over-seasoned. The flavors were balanced, allowing each dish to stand on its own without being too salty or overpowering. The quality of the food and the attention to flavor have given me confidence in their catering. In fact, I'll be using E&A Catering for an upcoming comedy show at Nu Genesis, and I'm looking forward to sharing their food with our guests. I contacted Eric on the recommendation of my Aunt and am sure glad I did. I had been trying for months to get a catering company that would listen to what we needed and make a custom menu for under 5k. These guys did just that. What we ended up with was three entrees (salmon, alfredo, and jerk chicken), roasted veggies, salad of our choice and rolls. When I had reached out to competitors, the most we could get was a salad and chicken. That was of course before up charges and requiring things such as a buffet lead server per hour which put it most times in the $4500-5500 range when the dust settles. E and A did all that was mentioned for the out the door cost for meal, serving, and bartender of $3200 and we had plenty of extra so the relatives could take home. Another option they let us take care of is the purchasing of the alcohol and the garnishes. This was wonderful as we knew exactly what we wanted for our custom bar menu and this saved us again at least 2k in costs compared to others. Looking at my costs for it, we spent $900 for all of the needed components and not one catering offered for us to do this for less than 2k and that's before the hourly charge for the bartender. E and A didn't do this nickel and dime like tactics and it worked out great as we were able to get a bulk discount through Total Wine. Now the important part, the day of food, service, bartending, and communication throughout. The crew arrived early and were on top of it from the get go. If you ever want to feel stressed, plan a wedding. Our venue gave us a quick set up time before the downbeat of the ceremony, however, this didn't phase them. I could tell from the get go they were confident in their own abilities and got to work. Upon arrival Aaron told me that his Jerk Chicken was the thing of legend. Now most times, you hear that sort of thing and think, "Ya, sure!" But let me tell you by the end of the night, it was. My family is still talking about it weeks later. During the event both of the guys made sure both my wife were at ease and well fed through out. This was a concern coming into the day and it was a non issue, they checked in with us multiple times throughout the night and made sure we were well feed with food, appitizers, and drink. This was a game changer and I cannot thank them enough. Then enter stage right, Ms Karina. Karina the bartender was great and a great sport all night as I'm sure my family reminded her, "Did you know that the bride's name is Katrina, that's almost like Karina!" i digress though were she came in was in her mixology. Karina knew her stuff and made wonderful drinks for all and took every order in stride to our multiple mixed drink menu. However, this is not where that story stops, towards the end of the night Karina was cleaning up and my groomsman and close friends all wanted a picture with the married couple as well as doing a shot with all. Karina could tell we were excited and offered to pour the drinks for us but also volunteered to be the defacto photographer for the moment as our photographer had already left. What resulted was one of my favorite group of pictures from the night and I'm forever grateful for Karina being up for anything. Last but not least Chef Eric and Chef Aaron provided the highlight of our night and surprisingly it didn't involve the food. About midway through the night as the dancing started to die out a bit, Aaron and Eric took maters into their own hands. They had the DJ queue up a song and led upwards of 50 people in a dance. It kept the vibes high and is something that was no where in their job description but is something we'll always remember.
