My mother-in-law had surgery, so my wife and I are here for Thanksgiving…read more Her brother graciously ordered a Thanksgiving meal for us from Publix: my wife chose the ham, marshmallow, delight, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and rolls . Ordering and picked up or easy, except the store didn't include the ham glaze. The note to pick it up was underneath the price tag on the ham so my wife didn't see it. Preparation was well thought out by Publix - each of the dishes took about an hour to cook at the same temperature, allowing one of them to be used for everything. Looking back, I would modify the dressing and sweet potato casserole, to make them less runny. Ham - excellent flavor, and very tender. I can't comment on the glaze (see above). We ended up making our own, since Publix was closed on thanksgiving day (I support that). Dressing - it came out very runny, so I would either increase the temperature a bit or cook it uncovered longer. I was surprised that gravy wasn't included with it, but then again, I've never heard of ham gravy for Thanksgiving (yea, I've made Red Eye Gravy, but that's another meal and ham). Sweet potato casserole - way, way, way too sweet and runny. It was more like a soup. The "topping quote was added just as a glob to the casserole. We scooped it out after tasting it. blah. Green bean casserole - I really liked that. The green beans weren't mush. They were crisp and flavorful. Marshmallow delight - I can't give you any feedback because I wasn't going near it with a 10 foot pole. lol. Rolls - I was expecting Mrs. Schuberth type rolls. These were somewhat hard and crusty. Overall, it was a good experience and meal. We have tons of leftovers, so come on over.

I don't get to Dallas, NC too often. In the last few years, I've probably been to Dallas, Tx more…read moreoften. Today I was on mission to get some R.O.'s BBQ cole slaw. The R.O.'s restaurant closed down early in January after being in business for over 50 years. Ben was driving so he dropped me off in the front of the store and I went right in. I asked 2 people who worked there where it was and they had no clue what I was talking about. There was a lady customer who overheard me and pointed me to the back of the store where it was located. They had the 32 ounce and 16 ounce sizes and I got the larger size. I'e grown up eating this and living in Fort Mill, the closest was Gastonia. Now that they have gone out of business, I'm not sure how I'm going to replenish my supply. I've only been inside one other Ingles and that was the one in Lake Lure, NC and this was much larger. It was very crowded on a Saturday and lot's of people getting their Starbucks. It was $8.48 which I thought was a fair price.

I always stop to get fresh salad from the bar or fresh cut fruit to take to work for my coworkers. The Rotisserie chickens are always a hit! The Cashiers are always smiling and welcoming (especially the older lady at register #1) and it's easy to self checkout as well! The older gentleman in the Deli knows exactly what I get each visit and I love that! I will bypass Food Lion every time to go to INGLE'S !!

On May 11, 2024 a two tier half naked cake was ordered for our dessert table. The original flavor…read morewas chocolate-?. On May 18, because that cake flavor wasn't popular or desirable, a call was made to the bakery to change the flavor. The order edit was confirmed. On May 31, the cake was picked up at 11:20 AM and arrived to the venue. While the cake was pretty, and a personal topper was added to make it even prettier, regretfully it was not the flavor that we ordered. Contrary to the "baker's" confirmation, the edit/change was not made. This was not observed until the cake was cut. While the other desserts, from other companies were demolished, 3/4 of this Harris Teeter 2 tier chocolate something flavor cake was untouched. What a waste of money! Of course there was nothing to do at that point. We called 2 weeks later and was put on hold for 13minutes after sharing our concern then eventually disconnected. Since a contact name (Diana) and number was left with the order we were hoping that at the very least someone would call back. Nothing! What a disappointing low-grade experience.
