if this is Food Lion in Ocean Pines, MD, 21811 I wanna state that guest relations are horrific. I was there about 9am today and "Grocery Manager Jeff" (yes thats correct I was close enough to read his name badge) was too busy taking pics of bread to acknowledge my "Sir...please sir..." I found the Tampex product I was looking for BUT is this what you encourage Delhaize??? pictures of bread are more important than a customer in need? I assumed you being based in The Netherlands you were more forward thinking...but this was obviously a small, SMALL men attempting to grasp whatever straws he may. The stores south of the Philadelphia/Southeastern Pennsylvania area all have one thing in common - they are cleaner, less cluttered and easier to shop in. The Food Lion at this location is a prime example. If you like clean, wide aisles with pristine floors and shelves, then you'd like it here. Additionally, Their prices are reasonable and their Meat department is tops. At The end of your shopping experience you are able to find plenty of cashiers to check you out. And the checkout staff is always pleasant. read more

Go there because of its Manager's Specials on meat that are about 50% off. That is hit or miss. They have a nice seafood and meat selection. Also, get a craving for their chicken at the hot bar or that is cold in the deli section. Also pick up the free local OCMD newspapers outside in the left-hand side that have real news about what is happening locally. Enjoy! read more

Food selection is okay prices are not great, but sales help Staff is usually friendly. If you want to take advantage of their coupons, you need the app which never loads in the store. And it's very disgusting that the employee break room for smoking seems to be right out front next to the fitness center doors and on top of all of the grocery carts where we put our food into. Nobody wants to smell that and its hard to avoid when theyre right there. Why can't they go out back somewhere? read more

Clean store, following Covid-19 protocols to a T. We are on vacation and appreciate the checkout person swiping a store card do we can get discounts (we have the same grocery store chain under the Stop&Shop name at home and have their loyalty card). They don't sell beer or wine, but a staff member directed up to a local package store, and it was awesome! read more

I was staying across the street so we came here to get some items. I liked how organized the isles were, huge supermarket and they seem to be well stocked. I found the prices to be very good.They had a lot of sales especially on their own brand items. When we were ready to pay there was only one register opened and a line started forming right away two other cashiers opened and made the lines move super fast. read more

I asked the manager for help on finding beef strips that were cooked she handed me a bag of these this was on August 6th 2018 after getting home looking at the expiration date realizing I threw my receipt away and I'm able to return so now I am stuck with a bag of season beef strips that expired 3 months ago. Check your expiration dates on everything from that store because the manager isn't seeing that the employees are doing it it was the blond hair woman with glasses that handed me these. read more

This place is right near our condo when we stay in OC so we do our week's worth of shopping for 9 people when we arrive. They have decent sales, which we often check online before we head out here to make the shopping trip faster. Sometimes the store is packed but they do a good job of having a handful of lanes open (which is more than I can say for our Safeway at home). The checkers are usually really friendly and from abroad so it's fun chatting with them. Everything in OC is way overpriced, and it would probably be easy for the grocery stores to jack up their prices too, but they don't, which is nice. The store is clean and bright and always a positive experience for us. read more

If I were to give any Food Lion 4 stars, it would be this one. I'm not though. I'm just not a fan of FL. This FL actually had really good prices. I was expecting a big hike on cost due to tourist/beach location. This was not the case. This store was clean. Stocked. Organized. This review is for milk. YES. Horizon brand Organic Whole Milk. Our 2 year old drinks goat milk, but we get him organic cow's milk when on vacation. We are total dairy snobs and this Italian is proud of that. Anyways, the husband and I got here in dire need of milk for our little guy. Lo and behold, NO ORGANIC MILK! I was devastated!! I jetted to the front of the store, while my husband just hung out in the back with the milk. So, I asked if there was any organic whole milk in the back because there wasn't any on the shelf. The manager (or SHOULD BE manager) immediately helped me and went to the back to check to see if any was left, even after asking another associate who recently restocked the shelves. YOU GUYS, HE CAME OUT WITH 2 CARTONS OF HORIZON WHOLE MILK! I could have kissed the guy!!!! He could have shrugged me off or just not checked, but he went above and beyond to check. This is the epitome of superb customer service... And I found it in OCEAN CITY. Good job, Food Lion. And thank you, sir, for really making our trip when it comes to feeding our son the good stuff. read more

This location is very clean and very big... i did have an incident here but it made me laugh histerically so instead of deducting stars i added them because the clerk really did make me chuckle... i came in to the location because where i am from alcohol is sold in grocery stores adn gas stations. so i walked in looking for their alcohol section.... i didnt see one so i just politely asked just to make sure i didnt miss it or it was roped off somewhere.... the gentle turned around and i asked him. he looked at me like i was crazy and shook is finger at me saying, No, no, no, we dont do that here and just kept shaking his head.... you had to be there to understand but even my friends were dying laughing. you would have thought i offended him to the highest degree possible lol. i ended up just picking up a few odds and ends for the hotel room. the store was nice all in all. read more

Good variety and pricing if you're in town visiting and wanting to stock up more than eating out. Organic selection, meat is good, and thr pricing is comparable but not gouging. The biggest danger comes during the season on Friday nights. This place becomes a mad house where I've seen EVERY cashier line open and lines were still 5/10 deep. While there isn't much Food Lion can do, customers need to be wary in case they arrive to town and go straight here. read more

I'm from the Northeast, where we don't have Food Lions. I had been to Food Lions on vacations, and the name amuses me to no end!! Food Lion -- RAWR! Anyway, we needed some bread for a picnic in Chincoteague, so we stopped at this Food Lion in OC. I was impressed with their prices and I was particularly impressed with the prices on their generic brand items. They also had good names for them. (i.e., Food Lion's version of Mountain Dew was called Mountain Lion) We also didn't have a discount card but they gave us the discount anyway. read more

This is my local grocery store and I am always happy with the produce and I have made friends with a few of the cashiers. The deli meat and cheese is great and they do carry the majority of the stuff I want. They do need to expand their cereal selection, learn to keep up on the stocking during the summer, and open more registers when there are lines forming. Other than that, it is a great place to shop if I don't feel like driving 25 min to Walmart. read more

Everything you need from a grocery store for a successful vacation stock up. Standard prices. Deli line is long. Went to customer service and complained and they shuffled help over. They should have been able to figure that out when 60% of the shoppers were standing there waiting to be helped! Fresh produce and good selection. Meats looked good but I didn't buy any. read more

I make at least one stop at Food Lion when in Ocean City... I always keep at least bread, milk and lunch meat in the room in the case I just want a quick lunch and hang on the balcony. Food Lion is a full service grocery, they have just about anything one could want.... they also have a great deli, meat department and bakery. read more

Not great, the slowest employees in the world for the deli , it was on # 87 when I picked 93 and it took 30 min to get lunch meat .

Went to Food Lion today had 19 items in my cart went to an open register and stated to put my item up on the belt. The lady said I am sorry I am an express lane only. I did not realize that when I went up because there were 3 open lanes. I told her I am sorry and there is nobody else around in her line or the line next to her is empty. She told me I had to put my items back in my cart and go to anther line. I looked around and sais nobody is around. She said sorry. Well my cart and the items on the belt were still there when I headed to the door. I was wrong but as I said NOBODY ELSE WAS AROUND Well looks like ACME gets my business from now on. read more
