Yes, they are overwhelmed and they try to get the food to you as fast as they can. Don't go there if you are in a rush, go there to have a quality meal made from scratch. Best breakfast offerings in Cottage Grove which puts this quiet charming town back on the map. Have tried their crepes, latkes, biscuits and gravy, and their coffee. All excellent! I hope that they will have a brick and mortar site of their own in the near future. How this place gets more than 1 star is surprising. Cost - very expensive to start with. This was our first and last visit. While waiting for our orders, we watched folks eating and overhearing conversations in the teeny dining room. I am so thankful that Food Smiths opened up in the new location of the old Covered Bridge Brewery. I took my kids, they played in the shaded kids' area, and we all listened to some live music while we waited for our tasty food to come out. The service was great! And everyone was so helpful. OMFG what an unexpected treat! Try the ginger tea. My girlfriend's Monte Cristo looks... well she didn't eat it all so I might not be a vegetarian anymore later. But the vegan gravy on the enormous biscuits (you think you need the large order but you don't ) is just mycologically fantastic. This cart is a class act. Nice dry place to sit if it's rainy, shady if it's sunny. Porto-potty if it's... needed. =o) read more

We've eaten here many times now, it's our favorite breakfast in Cottage Grove! They have wonderful gluten-free options (Biscuits and sausage gravy, y'all!) and vegetarian options, too. They are truly flavor artists, the portion sizes are great, and the specials are out of this world (catch them quick, the locals line up to get them!) The breakfast burritos are great, my kids love the waffles, and their best-ever French toast is delightful. I love the omelets, too! We're working our way through the menu and so far, everything has been 5 star. There's a cute courtyard to sit in if you want to eat and chat with folks, it's very pleasant and a community hub. What an absolute treat! We were staying in Cottage Grove for a sporting event we were attending in Eugene & stumbled upon this adorable food truck. It's in a small lot with a couple other food trucks & an incredible little farmers market with local produce, pastries, & more. Both my husband & I are sensitive to gluten, dairy, & eggs, so finding this place was such a delight! They are so incredibly friendly, they clearly have regulars that come back often, & source many of their ingredients locally. They have tons of GF/DF/V options that are absolutely mind-blowing. We're from Seattle, where there are pretty good allergy-friendly options, but this seriously tops any breakfast/brunch options we've ever had! Now we have a wonderful excuse to come visit this cute town next time we're in Oregon. We can't wait to come back! read more

I am so surprised to see I am only the second to review this little truck pushing out huge flavor here in Cottage Grove. This truck is located in the food truck area next to the Coast Fork farm stand. This area has seen lots of truck turnover but my hope is this one is in for the long haul! I had read many good things on social media pages and just happened to drive by this morning reminding me "hey you need to try them". The woman taking orders was lovely. You can tell she is enthusiastic about the product they are putting out and she had great suggestions on what to try. We settled on a breakfast burrito and smothered home fries. While we waited I got to see several orders come out and, holy cow, they aren't messing around! Their sando is HUGE and looked amazing. They also have vegan options for many of their selections. The burrito tasted as great as it looked. The smothered home fries were full of onions and peppers and the gravy was good. They even gave our pups a treat to snack on while we waited for our order. Food was AMAZING! best waffles I've ever had! breakfast burrito was perfect blend of meat potatoes and egg. These guys are killing it! We tried several breakfast items, and they were all amazing! We have gone back a few times for the breakfast sandwich on their homemade English Muffin.
