A mom and pop outfit to be sure. This is a good stop for solid comfort food. The interior is large, well lit and clean. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. We showed up as a group of seven and in no time had put together several options for us, never had that kind of reception before. The staff were completely familiar with the menu and options and even offered alternatives. Overall we found this to be a very friendly environment in a comfortable down home way. Right off of Interstate 5, easy to find, plenty of parking and plenty of tables. I opted for the Philly cheesesteak with fries. It was done exactly the way it is supposed to be done with all the ingredients marrying together to make the perfect sandwich. Almost didn't stop because the reviews weren't great. But, it was close and we were hungry. Had meatloaf and a hot opened face roast beef sandwich. Both were good. Mashed and veggies were good, too. The portion was large and enough for leftovers for dinner. I would definitely recommend the Vintage Inn. It's an old fashioned diner. Food is not fancy but it's hot, tasty and plenty of it. The service was okay. Our server was a bit pushy and she did not even wait for us to sit down before she took our drink order. There was 4 in our party and none of our food was good. I ate as much as I can for mine, The entire time we were there, they just acted like they could not be bothered by us. When I went to pay, I was trying to figure out the tip and she even had an attitude. Makes us sad because we used to like going there every once in a while. This place is a sure gem!! I just moved to the area and was in need of some comfort food after all the unpacking and putting things together. A classic "greasy spoon" place was a sure ticket. The vintage inn has absolutely phenomenal service by the hostess and waitress. The coffee was both good and strong, the pancakes were super fluffy with the whipped butter (not the little plastic brick), the sausage and eggs were par for the course but the syrup was served warm! After all that, the diner itself is well lit, clean, and comfortable. Only thing missing is the claw machine you usually see in places like this. I will be returning several times! Swung through here for lunch on the drive home from Cali. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner all day. Typical service for a diner but honestly the food was great. I had two egg breakfast and hash browns were perfection. My son had the western burger and my husband had another burger. Both said they were amazing. Well I'm not too sure how to start this review. The service was good and the coffee was hot. The meal on the other hand was not. The pancake was cold and the bacon was cold and tasted old. When all you have is 2 eggs, 1 pancake and 2 pieces of bacon, that's cold 2 out of three. Unfortunately I didn't check Yelp before walking across the street from the BW. But the woman ( hostess) who was working was extremely loud, we could not hear eachother across the table. She stood at the bar counter for at least 20 minutes talking extremely loud to one customer.Husband accidentally spilled his coffee across the table and we both asked her several times for a bar towel, she ignored us or just didnt hear us over her own loud mouth. She finally brought a towel and threw it at us after I told her she was talking way too loud. Made her mad I guess. We tipped our guy 10 bucks, paid our tab and left. We wont be returning. read more

The first impression was Fox News on 4 TVs and the giant orange cheeto flapping his gums on National Prayer Day. The irony of the guy who rarely goes to church, and falls a sleep when he does. I tried the loaded hash browns as I frequent a place that has exceptional ones. Thes e were not. Pre-packaged and shaped hash browns with over cooked bacon, barely melted cheese and a dab of sour cream. The eggs were on the side (party foul) but easily moved on top of the hash browns where they should be. Service was OK. The waitress didn't waste any time communicating. I was sick with food poisoning for 4 days after eating the taco omelette at Vintage Inn. That's really about all I can say. It wasn't even worth it since the food was so bland and under seasoned. My friend got pancakes that were too "chewy" to eat. I didn't even know that was a thing. Unless you're looking for a cleanse or prepping for a colonoscopy, find somewhere else to eat. Definitely an older establishment, reminds me of Denny's or Sambo's. Service was wonderful and the food was way better than expected. I had the stuffed hashbrowns with eggs over medium and my eggs were perfect, the hash brown was crispy and plentiful full of toppings and topped with sour cream. When I ordered orange juice, I was surprised that the glass was larger than the water tumblers and coffee wasn't the premium grind, but I drink coffee, black, and there was a very good. I definitely would recommend the vintage, it looks old on the outside, but the food on the inside is fresh and warm when it comes to the table. The homemade split pea and ham soup, which was the de jour, was delicious. The server warned that it was thoroughly pureed, well of course it was, split pea always is. But not the big chunks of ham, or the striking chive oil on top. Wrap was also good. Burger a little dull, a little dry, not a patch on Black Bear Diner's version of the same thing, but decent enough. Not a place to seek out, but I was content to have lunched here. read more

Stopped at the village inn after shopping in Eugene. I wasn't looking for fast food. As soon as I stepped in the door I smelled a stench of urine. Should have turned away I didn't. Ordered the open face sandwich with roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans. Green beans out of can not season well. My roast beef and mashed potatoes were ok. I give 0 stars to this establishment for the simple fact that the hostess had the WORST attitude. As soon as we showed up, we said "hello!" And she responded with "just so you know we close in 20 min." There was another young lady there that was her first day and she was lovely. The elderly lady was the one with the attitude. I would highly suggest to the owner that you do not make that lady the main hostess. I've never seen such bad attitude and this is for sure my first and last visit to your establishment. We love Stacy's Covered Bridge and Jack Sprats and they were both closed, so we thought we would give this a try. Where to start, the vents looked like they have never been cleaned. The fish was overcooked. In what tasted like stale 6 month old grease. The drinks were weak, the Margarita tasted like lemonade and I felt like I was charged $12.99 for basically lemonaide with a salted brim. My husband was brought the wrong beer. They had Fox News propaganda network on TV all over the place and I asked if they would change the channel I would have settled for anything else. One of the employees told me that the manager wanted only to attract the kind of people who watch Fox News. Not a terribly smart business model. What happened to the customer is always right? The waitress started vacuuming the floor right next to us. While we were eating but then what can you expect from a couple of teens dressed goth with multiple facial piercings. Service was slow from the beginning even though no one was in the restaurant. Gee I wonder why? That should have been a clue. After reading the health department review and our experience, we won't be eating there again, but then again maybe they don't want us back since I hate Fox News. read more
