The produce is great. The store is pretty clean. I have had great customer service here. I am providing the rating of 3 stars due to the meat department. Please check your meat. In the last 60 days I have purchased beef and chicken to come home and smell how rotten the meat is. I typically buy my meat the same day I am meal prepping. Came to purchase a Dicks Sporting Goods gift card on 7/15/2025 and when the cashier (Maria) completed ringing it up and I submitted my payment (debit) she said the gift card was unable to be activated and voided the transaction. I requested to speak to the store manager (Gonzalo), who stated there was nothing they could do and gave me a number to corporate. They handed me a receipt that showed the voided transaction and a cashback value of $200 which was never given to me. I expressed my concern about it showing cashback was given when it wasn't and he stated thats how its done there. He stated I have to wait 5-7 business days for a credit to be posted into my account. I waited until 8/1/2025 to see if anything was sent back to my account before I reached out to my bank. After nothing was sent back, I submitted a dispute. I just received a letter today 8/16/2025 stating that my dispute was declined and that the merchant said the transaction was valid. AVOID THIS BUSINESS BY ANY MEANS. read more

I had the most amazing customer service experience here recently. I was in the produce section walking about with some bell peppers in my hand. One of the produce clerks noticed and insisted on going to grab me some bags and bringing them over. There have been countless times I've in stores and could not find anyone to assist me or when I've asked for help they simply point me in what they think is the right direction rather than making sure personally that my needs were met. Prices are great. The selection is comparable to Ralph's but the prices are less. Our cashier Sheila was super friendly and paced or groceries so we could bag them without pressure. Because prices are lower, you bag your own stuff. We paid about $200 for groceries that I project would be $250 at leading stores. Worth the little extra drive to save the money. I hate to play the race card, but tonight I witnessed something I would consider racist. The store was closing/closed and a Hispanic man was at the door letting customers out and making sure no other customers entered, because they were closed, well two African American ladies walked up and they were denied entry but the Hispanic man at the door, about a minute or so later a Hispanic man walked up to enter the store and he was allowed to come in and shop! I was at the store today. The checkout line wasn't moving. It appeared that a customer's card wouldn't go through so we all stood there for about 10 minutes. People were getting upset. Finally I left my groceries on an unused checkout conveyor belt and left. When a customer takes a long time and can't pay please tell them the store needs to take other customers. She can contact her bank and figure out the problem. Don't lose the rest of your customers. Also they never have enough checkers so lines are long. read more

However now another cashier has came up to open. Management really needs to get on top of this and make sure they have employees to cover these long lines. Food 4 Less claims to be a price leader but I would not fully agree to that self-proclaimed name after today's visit. There are certain things that are on sale that have a relatively good price. Some sale items do require that you purchase a larger quantity in order to make the sale valid (such as "Must buy 2 for sale price" for Colgate toothpaste, or "buy first rotisserie chicken for $6.99 and the second one for $4.99"). Items that have a YELLOW tag that marks "SALE" on them with a quantity on them, for example 10 for $4 for yogurt and on the bottom in a smaller font $0.40 each. These items do NOT require you to purchase the quantity of 10 in order to get the sale price. Also, no club card or store card required for sales, however since Food 4 Less falls within the KROGER umbrella of companies, if you have a Ralph's card, they can contribute towards your gas points. And since they are part of the Kroger group, they do carry Kroger brand products. Many of the items such as cake mix, gallon water among other items cost more than other supermarkets like Target, Walmart or the dollar store. I would like to assume that sale prices rotate to various items on either certain days of the week or on a promo basis daily or weekly. The store was overall very clean, brightly lit, and both the floor staff and the cashier were nice and courteous with answering the questions I had. read more

The cashiers name is Kayla G and she was very rude and disrespectful to me from beginning of our transaction until the end of transaction. She was unprofessional in her conduct when she spoke to me. I called the store to explain too explain what happened to the manager who seemed not inclined to help with the situation. He was less enthusiastic about talking to me about what happened and asked for my information to call me back, to which he never did. So this is why I'm doing a yelp review. You could tell they degrade their employees in this store, few weeks back I was standing in line waiting to pay for my groceries, and my cashier was named Alan. First of all, he was going super slow, secondly, I overheard him raise his voice and yell at an employee over the walkie. I was honestly SHOCKED and APPALLED at what this man said over the walkie. I could never personally let someone else talk to me this way, especially with the amount of disrespect and tone he had with this employee. This place is really dirty on the outside where the carts are stored. I normally don't shop here but noticed excessive trash and alcohol bottles that had been consumed just piled there along with other trash the entrance to a grocery store that is reputable should never look or make you feel disgusted the area should be pressure washed and should be maintained. I advised Noemi store manager and she ignored the complaint I called Kroger whom is responsible as well and oversees this store and complained I had Lydia a second manager actually walk out and she acknowledged that it was in fact disgusting. I may have come here to look around years ago, but never shop here. I finally went today and got a good amount. They're pretty much what Stater Bros. has plus more and they're cheaper. THE REVIEW: A Food 4 Less market is where one goes when getting most for your dollar is the most important thing to you. Did you know that a great many of the EXACT SAME products you buy at a Von's for example, are being sold for a lower price at Food 4 Less? Its true. I mean that the same big truck, on the same day, will deliver the same packages of (lets say) Kraft Swiss Cheese to all of the markets in this area be they a Von's, Albertson's, Ralph's or a Food 4 Less. Yet the prices at these different markets will vary dramatically. So I ask you, if all of those packages of Kraft Swiss Cheese are all dated the same and delivered by the same truck, then why in the world would you choose to pay more for them somewhere else? Well of course the answer is the service and the atmosphere - as that does play a role in the overall shopping experience. But, when it comes strictly down to getting the most groceries for your dollar and nothing else matters ( like a "shopping experience" that can not be eaten) then a Food 4 Less store usually wins the contest every time. They have HUGE buying power and can almost always undercut the other markets in regards to "overall" price - on a consistent basis. That having been said, a few Food 4 Less"locations can be pretty bad places to shop due to them either being located in a dangerous part of a city - or more commonly due to panhandlers and roaming "salesmen" that like to roam the parking lots. But I can tell you for fact that not all of them have those problems and that most of them are good stores. THE BOTTOM LINE: You cant judge all Food 4 Less stores by this particular location, but judging this particular location fairly ( and remembering what it is and what it's supposed to be all about ) I give it a 3-Star rating. read more

Went here a couple days ago. With the rest of my groceries , I bought 3 loaves of bread. 2 days later I went back to make toast ( I had already used 6 slices from the first loaf) when I noticed, all 3 loaves had mold growing I had to throw them all out! That was a waste of money, at a time, not very good when money is tight. I'm for sure not buying bread there again! The bread was not expired. Im so mad that this grocery store Food4less Does not seem to practice good produce habits. that area of the store is filthy and seems to take no pride in its produce Section. I hate coming to this local store and Today i was reminded why. Let me start by saying that the store clerks where and have always been very nice and helpful but that will not keep a valued customer. First off the lines are always a little long which makes me believe that they are short staffed or trying not to give their shoppers a positive experience. Secondly, the Fruit seem to be spoiled quite often so THIS time i took a picture in hopes that the produce manager will value their customers and give a better quality of care to their product and BRAND!! It is what it is: no-frills shopping for those on a budget. For most items, Food 4 Less is just fine. Unfortunately, I've had less-than-stellar results with their meat and produce departments. Let's just say they're not known for the freshest or highest quality meats, fruits, or vegetables. Unless I'm in a rush or really need a certain item, I'll usually do my shopping for them elsewhere. Still, there's something to be said for buying here. They carry most of the products you'll find at other stores, but they're usually cheaper at Food 4 Less. I've always liked the fact that they keep their overhead costs down by not hiring baggers. I've also never had a problem with any of the cashiers or other employees. One annoying thing about this location: it seems like they have cart-returns at every other parking space in the lot, which makes parking a pain, especially during the weekends. I know people can be lazy and leave their carts in parking spaces, but the amount of cart-returns here is ridonkulous. read more

I'm not in love with this store but these are bad times and sales are important and this store last week had some things I wanted but it's now a app and digital coupons. So sitting on the end of of a check out counter installing a app on my phone it doesn't take my Kroger/Ralph's number and help comes through a virtual assistant which means no help at all. After a half hour I threw everything out of the cart and left but I was so pissed I called and spoke to the manager who was so sorry and that shouldn't have happened. Next I called the corporate office and complained that "why do you need a app for everything you buy today" again so sorry but nothing. The next day I tried to talk to someone through the virtual assistant and this time I go a person who helped me. All in all I just needed a alternate number in my app which was my phone number.
