Had a decent first time experience. I was greeted upon entering by 2 employees in the meat section, which of 1 looked to be a manager. Making my way through the produce section nd another employee greeted me. I found a lot of deals throughout the store and a couple of Fireball Whiskey shots on the Reduced rack. Still havent been to a Ralphs that tops Magnolias Reduced Price rack. That rack was so clean and neatly organized, I was impressed. A New Low for Ralphs: Discrimination and Profiling Against a Customer I'm not even surprised I'm writing this review, I already know firsthand how little this company values its people. But yesterday, July 8th around 4:00 PM, the Ralphs on Milliken hit a new, pathetic low. And it came straight from the manager. A Hispanic woman with curly light brownish hair and glasses. I came into this location just looking for peace and a pick me up after a rough time. That's my "why" for coming to Ralphs that I now DEEPLY regret. I've been going through a really difficult couple of months, and I wanted to treat myself to a picnic and a self-care day. I was smiling, walking the aisles, and shopping. I work at the Haven Ave location just minutes away, I brought in a cooler bag that I LITERALLY PURCHASED FROM MY OWN STORE. Like countless smart shoppers, I use my own bags. Our customers on Haven shop in peace like this all the time. It's normal. Or at least, it's only normal for some customers when you shop on Milliken. Anyways, after about 10 minutes of shopping I heard this on the PA: "Loss Prevention, check all aisles." I can assume that means that someone in the store looks like they are a high risk for theft or they have somehow already been caught stealing. But the store was full of people carrying their own personal bags. Were they being followed? No. But of course I was. I have shopped at this location dozens of times. I've talked to the employees and I have stood at their registers and handed them my paycheck from work. Yet there I was, dressed in my beach clothes with my hair done, being treated like a criminal. Nothing about me looked "high risk." Except the color of my skin. It felt racially motivated. When I went to produce for cheese and coconut water, there was the store manager. When I walked the grocery aisles, she kept "popping up." By the time I crossed to the bakery on the entirely opposite side of the store, she was literally hovering by the exit doors, like she was waiting for me to steal food like some lowly criminal. I work too hard to be treated like that. While the store manager was wasting her time following me around like I'm some homeless bum, she was neglecting her actual job. I bought some closeout deli meat during that trip, and by the time I got home just minutes away, it was literally covered in mold. So while I was being racially profiled over marshmallows and coconut water, this location was actively selling expired, hazardous food to the public. Which I probably could have caught myself had I not been intimidated by the manager during my shopping experience. Let's be clear: I am NOT about to ruin my life and forfeit my job by shoplifting marshmallows, cheese, and coconut water. The pay may be low but I can AT THE VERY LEAST afford a bag of groceries. And I didn't want to go to my home store because I needed a break from seeing the same store and same items all the time. If that manager had a shred of actual leadership or human decency, she would have approached me and asked if I needed help. Which to be honest I did need assistance but couldn't find anyone except her but she was too busy wrongfully profiling and discriminating against me. Had she taken that simple customer first action she would have immediately realized that I wasn't trying to steal--I was just confused by a layout I wasn't familiar with. So much for "Love through experience" and customer morale down the drain. And for context, there are corporate training videos outlining how businesses are about "customer care", against "racial profiling", and "showing love through experience." To me and from my experience, this manager slept through that memo. To subject a customer--and a fellow employee--to this level of profiling, especially given the racial exhaustion in recent times is sickening. And it's the fact that I even tried genuinely smiling at this woman. I tried to offer warmth. But in her mind, she made me feel like she had already created a narrative where a Black woman carrying a beach bag is automatically a thief. I'm a criminal to the same company that I work for. At only $16 an hour. What a slap in the face. I can't find any other reason why I was followed. It was dehumanizing, disrespectful, and a disgrace to whatever values this company has left. read more

I was fulfilling a doordash order. now I understand that doordash drivers have a bad rep, but it doesn't mean employees can be rude to every single person. I was nothing but nice to this employee, I the show him the barcode supposed to be scanned AFTER all items are scanned. he then says "no I scan it now" while im literally showing him the instruction. he then tells me there's two balconies. there was only one. he was just rude the whole interaction and was trying to tell me how to do my job. respectfully I wasn't telling him how to do his job. all because he wanted to go to lunch already. if he really wanted to go to lunch, he should've turned his cashier light off. his name is Danny Z. shame on you. read more

This is my go-to grocery store. Recently, I started using the pick up option which is available online or through the mobile app. They have designated pick up parking spots available and they'll bring the items out to your car, which is awesome. I have noticed people will tend to use those designated spots just for normal grocery shopping, so hopefully that gets better as more people get used to that feature. They've remodeled the store several times over many years and it's very nice now. The employees are always so helpful and considerate. They're patient and cheerful when help is needed in self-checkout or you need help locating an item. I have been saddened recently by the installation of some extra security measures, but it's a sign of the times I guess. I also love this location has a pharmacy and the pharmacists are always so sweet. They have recently started closing for lunch, which was a bit of a surprise to me one day, but thankfully they were opening back up shortly after I arrived so I didn't need to make a return visit. read more

I do not leave reviews unless I am really thrown off by an interaction, so Hey Employee Summer, quick note. Its very rude to grab your cellphone out of your pocket and have it in your face as you are actively helping a guest at checkout. When you are asked a question a guest should not have to wait for you to bring your attention back to them from whoever you are texting. Im sure it could have waited 1 minite as I was the only one in your lane. Also the personal convo you were having w the bagger was just weird and unnecessary. As you seem young, maybe this is your first real job so heres a tip. When you are at work, work comes first. That was terrible customer service, you kinda were irritated I was even in your checkout lane, and I think they need to train you a bit better on your customer service interactions and mannerisms. Otherwise this is my main store and majority of the staff, including the very hardworking guys who do the outside pickup orders, are very friendly and helpful. I am from out of state & mapped to the nearest Starbucks. I had to get drinks for 5 people & ended up here at Ralph's. I felt bad putting that on the barista working Starbucks all by herself but I was in a rush. The Starbucks girl was amazing, I wish I got her name but this was Sunday 5/4 around 11am. MY COMPLAINT IS FOR RALPHS. There is a lady who works there, I believe her name is Debbie, she orders an earl grey tea from Starbucks. She came up to order after me and was unbelievably rude to the Starbucks worker. She was making comments to other employees about it & then when the other Starbucks barista showed up to work she started making comments to her saying "thank god you showed up." I went I'm because I saw an ad for catfish for $11.99 per lb. The coupon said "$1.99 pp at checkout!" I was too pumped because this deal was a one time deal. I approached the butcher and asked about the legitimacy of the coupon. He stated "I'm not sure about that. You can show it at the front and they should honor it because the customer is always right!'" We got the fish (7 lbs) and proceeded to the check out line. In the line of "Kelly" I presented the coupon. She immediately went for a manager. The badgeless, nameless "manager" immediately declined my coupon saying "no way...that can't be real!" She didn't honor my coupon and I felt embarrassed for exercising my consumer rights to get a coupon offline. Her comments were very rude and demeaning. This is my favorite Ralph's store. But sadly today I was very unhappy with the service. The store is always well kept and I can always find what I need. Today I came in to get flowers for a funeral service. And I choose here cause their flower selection is always great but the woman in the flower department today seemed to feel some type of way towards me cause she really went out of her way to have an attitude with me First, I was circling the flowers to pick the perfect ones to make an arrangement for our neighbor who sadly lost her daughter and I wanted to make I picked something special. So I was looking and I honestly thought I was holding the ones in my hand over the mat. But she came over and pointed out to be careful with the floor because I was leaving water all around. I apologized since I wasn't aware and she pointed out the clear bags for when I was FINALLY ready. I said yes thank you I saw them. Second, I asked if the vases in the front were the only ones available or if there were more. She took a minute to turn around to answer that that's all they had but there were more and pointed like saying I missed them. Whatever. I picked one and asked about it. She answered me like she was annoyed to do so. I was able to compare her attitude because a couple came by and her attitude with them was so much nicer. She even smiled. Third, and this is what really got to me, I went to the self-checkout like I always do when I shop here. So I already know what the drill is especially on their conveyer belt ones. I went to the next available one and was waiting for the person ahead to finish bagging but remembered I can scan with the price gun so I didn't have to lay my flowers on the belt. And the same woman all the way from the flower department came over and loudly said ma'am you need to wait for him to finish, you can't scan yet. I was a bit shocked she came over there when there was a clerk overseeing the self checkout that saw what I was doing and didn't have an issue to what I was doing. I stood there not understanding why she had to come over. The clerk there than acknowledged I was able to use the price gun. I had never experience service like that before at this store which it was honestly my favorite. I have 3 on my way home and I would always stop at this one. I've been coming to this Ralph's for about 2 years now as a satisfied customer, but unfortunately that ended today. The deli counter is usually satisfactory with their service, however the past 2 times have been subpar, starting with the attitude of the female clerks servicing me. The young gentleman has always been friendly, but it's the ladies that seem to be less than happy about their circumstances, reflecting in their entire demeanor. The tipping point is paying for Boar's Head quality and receiving plastic-like cheese that does not melt, even when sliced thinly. I approached the customer service counter where no one was available to assist, which explains the unanswered phone calls. I was instructed to go over to the deli and one lady looked at the deli bag and said it was Boar's Head cheese because of the label. I informed her that this cheese is not at all like Boar's Head because it does not melt like it normally does and she suggested I go get a refund. With only 3 registers open and lines halfway through the aisles...yeah, no thanks! This store is sorely mismanaged, starting with the poor attitude of a few. I've notified Boar's Head and look forward to getting the quality I pay for, elsewhere. As for the return, I'll be back once someone can answer the phone and speak with me for a proper resolution to a simple problem. read more

This location is clean and bright. Very well stocked with everything you can eat. There's a great selection of special items for people with food allergies. The staff is friendly and attentive, Especially Daniel. He is kind and polite. He helped my son find the restroom. Then Daniel found my husband and I as we were leaving to complement us on how articulate our son was when he asked for the restroom location. This Ralph's location has banana almond milk which I have not found any where else. There is also a great selection of coffee creamers from plain non dairy to flavored non dairy. I moved out to Rancho 6 yrs ago & although I was used to shopping at another chain, I was surrounded by Ralph's so I had to adjust! I have to say this Ralph's is always my go-to. I can say hands down the best cakes (I recommend the tuxedo cake) The customer service is great, always friendly and ready to help! The deli department, is always friendly as well. So the chain the I grew up shopping at opened up down the street and it's the opposite. Maybe I was so used to crappy attitude & customer service. When I went to the other chain (only out of convenience) the difference was obvious. Their deli dept rushed me off, didn't ask if the slice was as thin as I wanted. The staff hesitates to help, as if it's not their job & the check out staff....I can go on. Thank you Ralph's for having such a great staff with great attitudes all the time. This is a great store which is clean, organized and good selection. However, there is a person in charge in the morning who is not customer focused. I don't know this person's name but she (long hair) seems to be in charge. I have seen dealt with her in the past and she didn't impress. Today, she brushed me off with zero eye contact. So, OK, I'm a senior citizen but not less mentally capable than her. I bought cherries for $2.99 a pound last week and got charged $5.99. I brought this up to the young kid at the check stand, and she told me without much thought that it was a digital coupon item. So, OK, however, if it was a digital coupon, I would have entered that online (plus, I don't think it was a digital coupon). Ralphs owes me $5 for the overcharge! So, today, I insisted with the young kid on the counter (the lady in charge wouldn't make eye contact at this time) that he check the peaches. And, it didn't come up at the the digital coupon price. I had him fix that. I told him that it looks like I have two accounts (learn a lesson Marketing) of which one recognized the online "clipping" and then one account I put into the counter device with my phone number. My first reaction was to not go to this Ralphs again. But, I want to see this lady in charge in the morning again (seems like in charge with long hair) and see if this post helps her attitude. This experience was on Nov 25, 2019 for the PHARMACY Went here to get my follow up vaccination and was served by Rima Ghattas, RPh. This is the second time we have been served by Rima and she is exceptional. Very, very few places have had the level of quality service that Rima provided me during my visit. Her quality of service from beginning to end from the time I checked in to the time my shot was administered, she displayed nothing short of exceptional service during my whole experience. Ralph's without a doubt is expensive but the pros are that the fruits vegetables and meats are without a doubt the freshest out of the local markets in the area so you do get what you pay for. My favorite about this tells besides the produce is that there's a Starbucks and the bistro. The bistro is cool for a quick meal or if you want to feed a family and had a long day at work and just don't have the time to cook the bistro comes in clutch. read more

Every Ralphs in this town is clean, spacious and pleasant. I'd rank this my second favorite Ralph's to the Day Creek location. It has a good sized parking lot and it's a large Ralph's. I was able to find everything I needed for quarantine except for yeast, but that's understandable. Currently they are disinfecting carts as you exit the store.
