I use online shopping and pickup for convenience, but unfortunately this location has made it more inconvenient than simply shopping myself. Yesterday, I picked up an order and discovered that the chicken selected for me was reduced price meat expiring that same day. I had to drive back to the store for a refund and then shop for replacement chicken myself, completely defeating the purpose of placing an online order. What makes this more frustrating is that the same thing happened just last week with ground turkey. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the expiration date in time and had to throw it away. Mistakes happen, but when this happens twice in a week, it feels like a quality-control issue with online orders. What was also disappointing was that there was no real effort to make things right for the inconvenience of having to return to the store and redo my shopping. I hope management takes a closer look at how perishable items are being selected for pickup customers. Customers using online shopping should be able to trust that they're receiving fresh products and not items they need to use immediately or throw away. read more

Disposable cups purchased from this location were tainted inside/outside with what appeared to be dried blood or chemical residue. An entire stack. After I had expressed my concerns with the store manager via telephone, the product still remained on their shelves. The manager said without confidence that even if I were to bring in a sample cup, the only thing he would do, aside from making me drive back for a product refund, was to send it to their corporate headquarters -- though he conveyed the futility of that action, almost laughing at the entire ordeal. I later filed a complaint with County health officials, and the apparently incompetent "inspector" merely talked to a store manager and rubber-stamped the complaint as resolved. read more

I've had descent experiences with this store but my experience has become great because of their bakery department. They've done a great job for Bday cakes, cupcakes for team & school events. The deli department has also made some great sandwiches. The person who really caught my attention by going the extra mile was Maya in the bakery dept. Do not place pick up orders at this location if you are wanting fresh produce. I have called and spoken with the Store Manager about this issue in the past but it seems like nothing has been done. I continually receive moldy strawberries, squishy zucchini and other bad produce from this location. It's very disappointing. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because of William, he is so welcoming and nice. I love seeing him when I pick up my orders so I will definitely miss seeing him! read more

Why do the checkers have to talk so much with the baggers? It's so rude and they miss something all the time and/or don't say hello or acknowledge the customer. There is such a severe lack of customer service everywhere and I think people are just fed up with spending hard earned money for lackluster service. I asked for a Powerball and a Mega Millions ticket and the guy said "ok" but because there was all this yapping going on, I was checked out with no tix. One of my favorite places to stop by. It's one of the few stores that consistently stocks Arizona Tea, the meat department has excellent options and prices that rival a certain membership chain, and the staff is always friendly. First time having a disappointing experience here. Usually have super kind and friendly staff but this day the cashier had a nasty attitude. She was talking poorly about another customer and continued to have an attitude with me. She proceeded to ignore me and make faces as she was scanning my items. For the sake of animosity I will not say her name but the bagger Adrian was super kind and asked me if i had found everything alright. He then helped me load my groceries to my car and was a sweet young man. The cashier should take some notes. read more

Another one star. I ordered o e family size sandwich for pick up. I tried paying for it when I ordered it and was informed they don't take prepay, no problem. I went to pick up my sandwich this morning and was informed that I had to pay for my sandwich before I picked it up. Really???? This is backwards, the cashier asked where my product was and I told her it was being held ransom. You used to have great service and this is not service this is ridiculous behavior. If I'm going to steal something it's not going to be a sandwich. Do better. Eating sandwich with family and the bread is stale, I asked for all vegetables ( on the side). They have lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. No olives no peppers and one slice of my sandwich has one piece of turkey. A few weeks ago, I bought a chicken pot pie that was marked FOR SALE. When I got home and tried to eat it, it was mushy and gross, and it was quite clear that it was nowhere near fresh anx thats why it had been marked down in price. It ended up being trashed. Today I stopped by the deli and bought a small container of chicken salad from the deli. I found multiple pieces of bone in the salad and had to end up throwing it away. I actually stopped in to get a money order that was due that day for a certificate renewal and Stater Bros. was the 3rd place I tried in one hour. There's one aisle where they process money orders and when I went that register was closed to regular customers so I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes. For some reason, 7-11, Walmart and CVS had issues with processing money orders and State Bros. I had no issues! read more

Today my daughter and I stopped in to get groceries, when we were in the check out the Older Short Man bagging the groceries, decides he can say very disturbing things about my daughter. He told me that he was going to "put her in a bag"!??! Then proceeded to tell me to "keep an eye on her"! What kind of disturbed human being says these things to women? The Stater Brothers price are usually the best. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to help. I am especially impressed with the butchers and the high quality of meat. They were especially helpful to me in figuring out poundage for groups and recommending the best cuts. They will also cut meat to your specific needs. I highly recommend this store. read more

The isles are always clean and organized. The prices are always reasonable and have great Sales especially when there are holidays. Kimberlene is wonderful. But when I took them to the register they did not honor the discount, claiming they weren't Easter products. This place is a really nice stater brothers for the Morning shift. Extremely helpful nice decor really organized. The evening crew is great as well until you get to the MEAT DEPARTMENT. Gosh they are awful with one man named (). Who will say "Hey I gave you a discount make sure you go to the front and let them know I'm a good employee put a good word in" 1st. There is no discount secondly how unprofessional. This is the same employee who consistently is rude and unhelpful on most occasions unless looking for redemption. There's also () every time o get meat packed I get raw meat all over the front package and it doesn't even look like he is using gloves. When asked he then says " I washed my hands and I have it grabbed with plastic" (staters) I saved this review in hopes to get names of employees honestly but one of them consistently has his name tag flipped I'm sure the staff will know! I'm in Day Creek Senior Villas so this has been my main grocery store for years. I give this location 4 stars the vegetables are top notch but (some) of the fruit offered are a hit or miss. I had to return several watermelons. All the summer fruits weren't too good. My other issue is that there are 2 female courtesy clerks that work a lot on register #1. I'm far from being a chatty Cathy but they are not personable at all. Never say hello or look me in the eye. I don't take it personal but clearly these 2 ladies don't seem too friendly. The cashier today "B" even seemed rude to her bagger. I'm a weekly shopper and this store offers one of the best shopping experience. Nick M. In the meat department was extremely rude. I stood there waiting and he never looked at me. Finally I said "excuse me" and he said "wait". Eventually he turned toward me and I asked for bone in pork chops not the boneless. His response was "they all have bones" and I pointed out that the boneless were next to the chops I wanted. He then weighed the chops, wrapped them in paper and slapped them on the counter and left without a word. Otherwise everyone else was helpful and friendly. read more

Did you know the Stater Bros. Deli has HUGE family subs that are freshly made AND ready to grab and go? They will even slice the sandwiches for you and give you mayo and mustard packets. Each one only costs $8.99. Since I was purchasing food for a field trip with 30 participants, this was perfect! Each big sandwich (about 1.5 feet) includes a variety of cold cuts, cheese, onion, tomato, and lettuce. I bought a few of these sandwiches and I had a bunch of happy teenagers at lunchtime. There were some hearty eaters who gave their seal of approval. This is a great option when you have a lot of mouths to feed and you're on a budget! read more

I like this new Stater Bro location!! I would always shop at the one in Archibald and 19th. It's spacious and looks like they spent alot of money to make it a wow factor. I like this location for its neat and organized. I like the flooring it makes you feel cozy. The staff is very helpful when I ask where things are. I got some steak and porkchops the butcher was patient and very courteous. I like that they have an organic section for the fruit and vegetables area. Looks like many supermarkets are starting to car organic produce. The produce they had looks pretty fresh and organized. The is plenty if parking but it can get a little full depending when you come. It is located in a new strip mall so there are many other businesses around. I like the meat at Stater Bro for great taste. They can cut most meats to your specifications. I definitely recommend shopping at this Stater Bro location. read more

What an absolutely amazing store! It's the biggest, cleanest and most updated store I've been in! Huge selections on many items, including some great looking fruit and fruit I had never heard of our seen in other markets. I found most of what I needed. A few items I was unable to locate, because they were either out of stock, or I wasn't walking down the proper aisles I guess, where they are located?! While this store isn't the closest one to my house (I live in between the Alta Loma location & the 19th street one, I'd definitely come back to this location! I was eyeballing some meat at the butcher counter and was asked how I was doing. Most times at other stores I feel ignored unless I specifically ask for help, and then many times the employees aren't too friendly anyway. I also loved the checker! She was friendly, sweet and seemed happy to be working. She talked to my toddler and complimented her on her mask. Made small talk and even gave my daughter some cute stickers from under her check stand! She definitely scored points in the customer service area! That's how it should be! I have been a loyal customer to this store since it opened spending a good 2k a month there. For the past couple of years, I have been purchasing the same combo (2 breasts and 2 sides) of fried chicken from the deli with no issues. Last night, I was advised by the older lady,very rudely, that she will not serve me the order this way. She then turned to who I believe was the manager (short lady). The manager also rudely said they've been serving me wrong for the past two years. If this is the policy, fine but their attitudes completely unprofessional. I have neighbors who won't even deal with your deli because of the rudeness they receive. So they go down the street to the competition where their deli people are very nice-and they end up completing their shopping. Please talk to these employees-they need to learn customer service skills. read more

My husband and I came here twice over the weekend. My husband came for groceries (they have grand opening sale now; if I can remember you get $10 off if you spend $50.) and then he and I came again to eat. My husband always gets his meat from Stater' Bros; good quality meat. This is definitely not like any other Stater Bros. I have ever been to! Parking is a breeze right now because now all the restaurants/shops are not open yet, but we will have to see how it goes. There's a security guard in front that says "Hello" to you. When you walk in the doors, there are people who say "Hello" to you. We also saw a couple ladies making fresh sushi rolls when we first walked in. I went to look at the bakery section and fresh deli station and one of the ladies there also welcomed me with a "Good Morning!". A major gripe I've always had with Stater Bros is that their aisles are so narrow that it's hard to fit two shopping carts going opposite ways; well not this one! It's nice and spacious. Since they were making them fresh, my husband and I wanted to try the rolls; I just got a California roll and he got some kind of spicy shrimp roll. Just to compare to other "grocery sushi/rolls", they were okay, but I think Sprout's sushi tastes better. I'm not really judging them on their sushi/rolls though, just thought we'd try it. When we were about to head over to the cash registers areas to pay, one of the ladies from the deli asked us if we were ready to check out and that she could ring us up since we only had a couple items. Aw, now that's service! They also had a small dining area with tables and chairs so we ate our snack there. It's rare to get nice-warm-fuzzy feelings from a grocery store, but this Stater Bros really hit the mark. This will be my go-to Stater Bros from now on. read more

He reassured me it was no problem at all to replace my purchase. He was so helpful and his customer service skills were top notch.
