Such a yummy experience! Stopped by here for dinner on a Friday night and all the tables were full. We waited a bit for a table to clear up, and then we were seated. Food was incredible and definitely worth the wait! Since it was busy, it was a little hard to flag our waiter down if we needed something, but otherwise we had a wonderful time. I am amazed! As a Taiwanese-American who grew up in Queens NY, this is an amazing authentic Taiwanese restaurant in Paris!!! It is a wife-husband team with wife's nephew from Taipei to take over in a few years! Very thing Taiwanese authentic!!!! Taiwanese fried chicken over rice and 滷肉飯 with classic soy sauce eggs and 刈包 with the real peanut powder and pickled vege that traditional goes with the pork belly bun!! All cooker at the restaurant. For sure, my Taiwanese home from my Queens, NY, Taiwanese home! Highly recommended for those who miss Taiwan as well as those who want to explore Taiwanese food! Husband working the front of the house is the kindest and nicest and comforting while the wife in the back of house is whipping up the most delicious foods from the heart. We are in Paris with our children and were looking for a restaurant with good takeaway food near our apartment. Found Foodi Jia-Ba-Buay through Yelp and it did not disappoint. The owner was friendly, food was perfectly done and very well seasoned. We are up every last bite! I have had lots of Chinese food, but never Taiwanese cuisine. We had three bento boxes- chicken, beef, and steamed dumpling, as well as the rice bowl with pork. Apparently you need to make reservations for weekends because we saw several diners being turned away. read more

The beef noodle soup is on point but other bento boxes are disappointing I like the open kitchen and you saw this restaurant is run by a husband and wife . My husband and I stumbled upon this treasure in Paris. The food was delicious. The restaurant was a quaint, cozy restaurant that served a variety of Taiwanese dishes. We loved the atmosphere as much as the food. The steamed dumplings were a must. I would definitely recommend eating here. read more

Hubs and I went to try this place out for lunch during our conference and it did not disappoint! We walked into a cute open kitchen restaurant the size of a jewelbox. There were about 8 tables in total. They have an open kitchen so you actually see the chef in action. I believe it may be a husband and wife mom and pop shop. Wife is Taiwanese and husband is French. The husband does the room greets the guests, takes the orders and the wife is the one man operation in the kitchen. She has the flow down well. We ordered the set lunch which came with appie and entree. For appie I had the Wonton with red chili oil and my entrée was what the Taiwanese call flyhead. It's basically very finely chopped meat and veggies and string bean sautéed and stir fried with chili oil and garlic. Didn't expect much since I was not in Asia but when our bento came, presentation was fantastic and food was very good! Since hubs was craving turnip cake we tried it here and it was on point. Crispy and not burnt. The great thing was there was a good amount of baby shrimp that makes this delicacy special. The chef cooking for all the tables was quick and efficient use of every second she had. Pretty cool to be able to see it all unfold and come to fruition in front of us. read more
