You order off a sheet as if you're ordering sushi (and the deal includes sushi if you'd like), and they bring it to you, cooked to order. -- Egg Roll: Thick, blistered shell housing very moist but slightly mushy vegetation (mostly cabbage) and bits of gray pork. Decent seasonings and good textural contrast, but only slightly above average overall. -- Chicken Teriyaki: I wrote a "1" on the order sheet, expecting a single stick, but they brought two. Good thing, because these were superb. Glistening exterior with just enough char, a good shellacking of glaze, and a quite-juicy marinated interior. Some sweetness, some savory, and some gingery notes. Excellent texture, excellent flavor. Elite. -- Fried Shrimp: A "1" on the order sheet yielded a beautifully arranged plate with eight panko-crusted slivers of shrimp. Very light, very crunchy, and the apple garnish was edible too. I prefer the shrimp in a ring with the donut-like batter, but this was a nice treat. Well above average. -- Beef Teriyaki: No char, decent crusting, decent moistness, but overall fairly ordinary. Average. -- Chicken Wings: Very crunchy from a micro breadcrumb treatment, with juicy, gingery flesh under the skin. Enjoyable. Above average. -- General Gao's Chicken: Another creative presentation with orange slices around the rim, and the chicken was solid as well. A strong surface near-crunch, moist and tender chicken inside, and a somewhat complex saucing that was mostly sweet but had a little heat. Above average. -- Shrimp and Broccoli: Cooked perfectly (broccoli tender and almost wilting; shrimp tender but snappy). Fairly standard brown sauce and a bit gloppy. Slightly above average. Service is slow. It can take a while to have your order(s) taken or your check handled, even when the server (I've never seen more than one) isn't handling other customers. Handy parking lot, which is not a guarantee in Lowell. Value is off the charts, and quality is very good, making the iffy service tolerable. The food arrives not only hotter and fresher than all buffets, but also hotter and fresher than most Chinese sitdown restaurants, period. If you're reading this review today the day I wrote it just look in the parking lot and you'll see I was unfortunately unable to keep the food we bought as I couldn't even make it to the car before dinner projectile vomiting commenced. I don't know if it was the warm sushi "which should have been the first clue" but we continued with dinner anyway. Fk me for trying right! The food was terrible, $3.50 for a cup of soda out of a 2 liter bottle and $1.50 a refill not to mention if you don't finish all of the nasty food you order they will charge you an extra 30%. Our favorites were the dumplings, general tso's chicken, friend rice and salmon roll. No complaints from me, this is within running distance for me and my go to when I want to eat alot of sushi for a decent price. When I go for dinner, there's usually one other party with several people popping in and out for take out. I actually enjoy the peace and quiet. My go to is Godzilla, Chicken Tempura or Salmon of some sort. For apps, crab rangoon, salad, seaweed salad or egg drop soup. Probably worst sushi place I've ever eaten at. All you can eat is very cheap which was nice but definitely tasted like it. A piece of the fish was dry and I had to take a piece out my mouth at one point because it tasted so horrible. The edamame was drastically overcooked. The service was rough too, we got our appetizers the same time we got our entrees and the man making our sushi kept wiping his sweat off his forehead onto his arm obviously I understand doing that once, maybe twice but he did it so much it was noticeable and quite gross. We also discovered a piece of his hair on our plate when it was served. When we finished our food, I was excited to have a mochi thinking how could they possibly mess that up. I thought wrong. Tasty hot & sour soup, wonderful fried dumplings w/a different flavor ginger sauce (well-matched), kani salad was fabulous, and sesame chicken was very good, full of white chicken chunks and plentiful. The pieces of sushi had too much rice, unbalanced,but the rolls were adequate rice to sushi ratio. Ice cream was varied and a nice finish, as were the accompanying fried banana & pineapple. I came here just because of Kim S. pictures. I was at life alive in Lowell and then saw how close I was and got back in my car and drove down here. I hoped and prayed that the food was as tasty as the pictures she took- and I was not disappointed. I walked in to a totally empty restaurant no other patrons so that was a bit odd. I did take note that they had 2/3 orders to go. The miso soup came to the table piping hot and tasted great. I hate/loathe/ completely condemn in the strongest way possible tofu so I just spooned the few pieces that were in my soup. I HATE TOFU. The GT chicken Bento Box was really good. All white meat chicken. It was so yummy. I will be back often as this is a great place to eat with great service. The price is a bit high for just me it cost $24 w/o tip. I normally buy japonese food from this place like sushi, sashimi and rolls. So today I tried with a couple of work colleagues to try something different. We ordered the chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls for delivery. I'm sorry but it was disgusting, spring rolls: cabbage and 1tiny shrimp, that's it. Chow mein: felt and looked like someone ate the spring roll, threw up and that's how the chow mein was made. Horrible to look at not appetizing at all! The saddest part is if you google "Chow mein" it looks completely different than what we got. So I called the place and spoke to the manager because maybe it was a wrong delivery order they sent us. He said that's how they cook the food and that is how spring rolls and chow mein's are made, when I said wow it doesn't look nice at all he hung up on me. We buy the sushi 3 times a week here, because of your rudeness and disregard to your customer you just lost 4. This is probably the cheapest "all you can eat" sushi restaurant that I know of. Its cheaper than Maki Maki and 7Nana so I usually go here for my sushi fix. I only go for the dinner menu so I can get my special maki sushi along with pork yaki udon, fried shrimp, and dumplings. Only complaint is that waiters don't wait on you often. Which makes sense as theres only 1 waiter for the entire store and they're often running the front desk. So when I want to place an order I just go up there and hand them my menu or I'll have to wait ages for them to come around. Theres only 1 sushi guy and the sushi takes a while to make if the store is busy. There may be 1 table with 8 orders and another with 6 and so on so it makes sense. I order an item from the kitchen so I can munch on that while waiting for my sushi. Other than slow service this place is ok. Giving it a 4 star since the food is good, cheaper than other "all you can eat" places, and its local. read more

I can't believe we've never heard about this place until our cousin went to this "Fresh all you can eat" sushi joint. We visited the restaurant for lunch today and Ronnie's directions were accurate, the restaurant was located on the beginning of Lakeview Ave., right across the street from the iconic comic book store. Parking was spacious and we were the only ones there for lunch at 1:00 PM, New Years Day. I was a bit apprehensive since no one else was dining at the establishment. (When we left, there were 4 other groups that came in and many other take out orders so I felt better) The restaurant was extremely clean and there were many tables. It appears to be a family run operation as the woman who I assume is the mother was the single hostess/server along with her pre-teen daughter helping out with drinks and running some of the appetizers. There was another younger daughter on her i-Pad watching movies. We were seated promptly and brought a couple of different menus, the a la carte menu and the all you can eat Chinese and sushi menu. I thought it was pretty cool that we could write on the actual menu to indicate the quantities and menu items we wanted to order. Usually we would get a separate paper to check off. We started off with the colossal pan fried pork dumpling that came with two in the order. The dumpling were pretty tasty with the perfect crisp on one side and a soft wrap on the other side. (the pictures doesn't do it justice, it's probably twice the size of the average dumpling / peking ravioli) Although the shrimps used in the fried shrimp appetizer were a bit smaller, the portion made up for it. The shrimps were battered and fried in a panko crust and served with duck sauce. It was good but nothing to write home about, maybe I'm biased because I wished the shrimps were larger. Similar to the other appetizer, the dish was garnished with parsley and a maraschino cherry. We didn't want to over order and have lots of leftovers so we limited ourselves to only three maki rolls. Just like all the other similar sushi places, if you don't eat all the food, they charge you for the leftovers. My husband loves eel so we had to get the dragon roll, eel and cucumber wrapped with avocado and topped with tobiko and the sweet sauce. We also ordered our usual favorite, the Philadelphia roll with salmon and cream cheese. Instead of the boring shrimp tempura roll, we took it up a notch and ordered the yummy tummy roll which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with salmon and drizzled with a sweet chili sauce, similar to the Mae Ploy sauce that I eat with eggrolls. The Maki rolls were a little bit above average. They were good but definitely not as tasty as other high end establishments. We ordered the regular seaweed salad in addition to the spicy seaweed salad that had a nice wasabi kick to it. I really loved the idea that we were able to order from the kitchen menu and weren't limited to Japanese menu offerings as the other restaurants. We split a General Tso and shrimp phad thai. The portions were perfect, enough for just us two without us worrying anything would go to waste (aka us having to pay extra.) I have to praise them for using chicken breast for the General Tso chicken which is a premium meat. Typically, dark meat is used and I actually prefer that over breast but I'm sure 90% of other people like the white meat. My favorite dish was the shrimp phad thai. They did not skimp on the shrimp and it was full of flavor and texture from the bean sprouts, noodles and peanuts. We asked for sriracha and hot chili oil and they were happy to oblige. Overall, I think the food was great for the value. The all you can eat menu only set us back $14.95 each. My only regret is that I didn't know there was a dinner menu for $19.95 that offered many other menu items including sashimi and other specialty rolls, the Spider Roll (soft shell crab) being our absolute favorite. Service was a bit slow as there was only one person handling most of the hosting/waitressing/food running/bussing/ takeout orders, etc) but if you are patient, it's worth it or if you are like me, just flag down the daughter. I stopped at Foody Goody for lunch takeout recently, which serves up Chinese cuisine plus sushi and sashimi. I ordered the L10 Chicken with Mixed Vegetables & choice of appetizer ($6.95 plus tax), which was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The main dish had a mix of big flat boneless chicken pieces, broccoli, celery, zucchini, carrots, baby corn, & asparagus, served with a dark colored fried rice with a mix of onions and roast pork cubes. The thing is that you must finish everything that you order, otherwise you have to pay 20% more on whatever you ordered. I love sushi, and the first time I went, we were the only ones in the restaurant and it tasted so fresh and delicious! I was not impressed at all the last time that I went, it was a little busy. Order: PuPu platter, 3 roll sushi combo, house fried rice. Fed 2 adults, 3 kids with leftovers to spare. PuPu platter was hot, fresh and lightly fried. Nothing had a heavy greasy aftertaste and the pork spare ribs were tender with a hefty blast of flavor in each bite. Grade: A Sushi was par for a non sushi house, although they offer an all you can eat option. The Ebi Tempura roll was tasty but rolled messily. Soy sauce was of the cheaper variety and wasabi had a slight bite. Grade: B House fried rice had plenty of shrimp and chicken mixed, but was bland although it was dark in color. Adding duck sauce raised the flavor as always. Grade: B Food overall: Grade B+ Service was slow as the place was busy for a Friday night with 1 waitress on hand. Had to flag her for duck sauce and never offered refills for drinks. But she was very pleasant with a good attitude. Grade: B Atmosphere was very nice with a warm vibe and clean decor. Don't let the fish tank at the entrance detract you. Grade: B+ TLDR: Foody Goody is above your average Chinese take out with the food being very fresh and delightful. The food is delicious. The customer serious is heinous. Ordered delivery to the facility where I work as an RN. The food came and when we went to eat, 2 of the dishes were wrong. We called and they said they would bring us the correct food. When the delivery driver came we brought the old food down. He told us to keep it because they were going to throw it out anyway. A few minutes later a lady is calling from the restaurant rudely demanding we bring the food to the restaurant. We can't leave work, that is why we order delivery. We told her we tried to give the driver the food. She basically called us liars. The driver then called saying he was outside. We called the restaurant saying we would need a receipt. When we went outside the woman was there with the driver. We gave her the untouched food and told her she lost our business. read more

This is my favorite place to eat Chinese in Lowell, hands down. Amazing fried rice, amazing general Taos, amazing chicken fried rice. Everything is very reasonably priced also. I come here with co workers and with my girlfriend and everyone loves it. My coworkers love the sushi. I'm not a fan of seafood, so I've never had it. If I could give this place a negative star review, I would! The SERVICE and QUALITY of the food is completely DISGUSTING!! I was served slimy chicken and everything smelled and tasted off! I called and spoke to the manager to see if I can get a refund or atleast something else (that wasn't spoiled) and she said " NO! I can't do that for you, you should have called as soon as you got the food, (which I did). She then hung up the phone. I'm shocked at how unprofessional the "manager" handled this issue.
