They were correct in saying the plates could not be issued. Only issue now was they didn't give me the technical reason and just said it can't be done. I had to later follow up with MVD to learn antique plates can only be issued to pre-1980 vehicles. Mine was a 1984. The car can be registered and insured as a classic for that year but is ineligible for antique or Year of Manufacture (YOM) plates. My apologies for the initial review. But I think if they were better educated in the issuing of specialty plates, they would have given me a factual reason and not a "we can't do it" statement.

While talking with her, we explained we just did two donations for Kars4Kids and our blind eyes signed in the wrong spots.... On both of those titles so we have to find a notary to do a power of attorney to complete the sales. She helped with those two donated vehicles, and she completed the sold notice taking them out of our names PLUS the original request to do a transfer of title. Talk about one stop shopping. We were having a bad morning honestly but her bright and cheerful disposition along with her outstanding efforts truly made our day better. This is the whole reason for the 5 star review. Not to mention, the wait time was minor - less than five minutes in the waiting room. If you do or if you don't try to get here before you open or you may get stuck waiting in line for a long time like most DMVs. The 2 times I went I got lucky with both times to get a new license plate as well as a new license. The first time I went there was absolutely no line, the second time I got there soon they opened. Even though there was a decent amount of people waiting to get in too, I was able to be done in like 3-4 minutes with my appointment and the staff were friendly too. This is one of the better DMVs to go to.
