Just awful. I've been trying to support local businesses these days, but this is one that probably should just close their doors. I took my son there to get a professionally done corsage for his girlfriend. The lady at the counter was indifferent to us...almost like she didn't want our business. I should've just walked out, but like it said...I'm trying to help small businesses. Anyways ....He picked it up today and it's as big as an egg. Not thrilled. Plant looked smaller than photo on website. This I could live with but... They don't have great communication about delivery, etc. From other places I usually get emails or texts about the order, the delivery, etc. But I did get a receipt. Worse, I ordered chocolate covered strawberries. They did not deliver them and there was no communication that they were not sending them. I had to write to them about it. They did not answer me until I kept after them and then they said "Oh the strawberries did not look good so we sent two bags of chocolate candy". True they did but after they got my complaint, not the same day! So If i did not ask the recipient I would have never known. And two bags of chocolate do not equal chocolate covered strawberries. Mostly the fact they made this decision without consulting me was not right. After complaining again about this they said they would credit me for the berries. I got these delivered not on time there's another one right there that already had me ticked off because "businesses delivery's are from 11am/1pm and received them at 2pm ish once arrived it was a tiny ass vase literally with 3 roses and 3 sunflowers and the rest leaves and other simple non-costly flowers, a co worker paid $55 for hers and hers looked better then her piece of shit work, hope your guises experience wasn't as bad as mine. read more

I tried to order a Bright Morning arrangement for my great-niece's 13th birthday today. I'm from Illinois so not familiar with local Ahwatukee florists. Her mom sent me a couple of florists so I could check out websites. I narrowed down a couple of arrangements (one from each florist) then called the florists yesterday to discuss what I needed (13 roses, etc.) I told the florist I had a couple other options to check out and would call back. When I called back she was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. She said I told her I was going to price check to see if I could undercut her pricing. None of that happened. She made an incorrect assumption about why she thought I was checking with another florist. After looking at the websites, I was looking at two arrangements hers ($60) and a completely different arrangement with free spirit garden roses instead of spray roses (over $100). I was checking out options of which arrangement I thought my niece would like better - not the price. This was a special occasion of becoming a teenager, so I really wanted to surprise her with something wonderful. Even with her rudeness I was going to order from her, but it was end of business day, so we were going to complete transaction this morning. Last night I decided I couldn't spend money with someone who treated me so poorly, so I emailed her and told her why I would not buy from her. I contacted the other florist (Ambrosia Floral). Terri was wonderful to work with. We came up with a design that incorporated the free spirit roses she had as well as some spray roses, and it looked beautiful and just informal enough for a teen. The arrangement cost $70 including tax. It turned out much better than the other arrangement would have. My great-niece loved them! A review on the Foothills Gallery site said they were professional but treated each person as an individual and neighbor. I mentioned the review to her, and she said she treats everyone else that way, just not me. After reading reviews on Yelp (just now) it seems she doesn't treat many people very well. My recommendation is to skip this shop and order from Ambrosia Floral. read more

Service - I ordered flowers and strawberries for my family member's birthday. The flowers arrived and my family member said they were unique. I asked about the strawberries and they were not delivered. I called the store and left a message about a missing delivery. No return call. I called the store again and a woman answered, spoke very fast, and just said that she will deliver the strawberries and hung up without providing a name or anything. I spoke with my family member every day since that conversation and asked about the delivery and she said they never arrived. I tried to call again and the phone went to voice mail. So I thought I would write an email. I asked about getting the delivery or a credit back. I got a sentence that they were delivered Monday. I called my family, no delivery. I called and spoke with Freddie. She was fast talking and obviously overwhelmed, rude, and did not care about this. She stated she delivered the strawberries and had no intent on working with me to resolve the issue like check the address or tell me whom she delivered them so. Instead I got a snarky comment about having to record all her deliveries and she hung up on me basically saying she did not want the business. Ouch! Over 20 years ordering from this establishment and this owner is truly just a mean person or gravely overworked. I don't know the answer. Selection - I have always loved what was delivered in the past. This is sad that Freddie is overwhelmed and rude. There are quite a few posts about how rude she is. I think she needs some help at the shop. Value - I paid for something that, according to my family member, never arrived. I believe the 2nd half of the order was delivered to the wrong house OR my family member has completely lost her memory. I guess the latter could be true. While deployed, my son called the nearest florist for my birthday. I was perplexed when the flowers were delivered more than 4 hours after the shop closed and we live less than 3 miles away. After looking at the card, and attempting to remove the stick that held the card, I saw that at least three flowers were literally skewered by the card holder. (which seems negligent and rushed). In general, the flowers looked like something that had been on the counter w/o fresh water for a week and about ready to be tossed. I called the shop that day, stating the flowers were damaged, (vmail as they were closed) and again when they opened on Monday. Again vmail as they were supposedly w/another customer. Not a call back, nothing. What a shame. I would not get a carnation boutonniere from them... no pride, no customer service. Don't know how they stay in business. Very disappointed. You can look at what i ordered at their web page and what they delivered by checking out the picture I uploaded. When I called and told them what I wanted the response was "The $90 arrangement" I said no your web page says $55, $60, or $65. Unbelievable. The picture I ordered had no green filler - that was all this was. So completely disappointed. Go to their site to see Precious Purple (what I ordered) The owner seemed to really want to help and realized the wrong arrangement was sent - however the "manager" that kept answering the phone wouldn't let me talk to the owner, was very insulting, and told me that the arrangement sent was much nicer than what I ordered! So odd! Wouldn't you rather send what the customer ordered? The entire episode was very upsetting. I was on my way to Home Depot to buy some plants but given the current pandemic, I thought I should support a smaller mom and pop. Shop local. I pull up to this location. I see the cutest small trees in baskets...exactly what I was looking for. I was so excited. From the front it looked closed but The side door into their lobby was propped open, so I respectfully poke my head in. The woman doesn't say hi just glares at me. When I ask if they're open she says no. I asked if the large plants were for sale and she says yes so I ask her how much and annoyed she responds "they're all different prices." So I asked if I could pop in to look because clearly she wasn't interested in helping me. At this point she turned back around and continued what she was doing. She says "no, you can't." She was so rude. And honestly those plants were probably $150 minimum. Maybe more. And I was going to buy 3 of them. That's a pretty big sale to be passing up given the current times. My mom's 50th birthday was yesterday and I needed to send last minute flowers. I found Foothills Floral online and decided to call in my order. The gentleman on the phone with me was so nice and patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted my message to say. The bouquet I ordered was the florist special where they assemble it themselves and choose whatever flowers they like. Ordering flowers that I hadn't seen yet worried me but I trusted them and am happy I did. My mom called me later in the afternoon after receiving the flowers, raving about how good they look and it was beautiful. She also said the smell was so good and strong, it smelled like someone sprayed perfume (they didn't obviously) but they smelled that great! We received excellent service here, even with a last minute request 2-days before prom. Corsage was beautiful & well put together, and available at the time promised. My daughter even commented on how her corsage was pretty all night and the compliments, while other girls had flowers falling off of theirs from other stores. I went into the shop and hand picked the flowers. They were all very busy, and still took the time to talk to me and be very courteous and friendly. I really felt like I got more than I paid for when all was said and done. They did an amazing job so quickly and I never felt like an inconvenience (at the time I certainly was). DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!! 1 star is generous! The owner needs a new business model and a new attitude!! My husband ordered bouquets two consecutive weeks (one for my birthday and another for our anniversary a week later). I wasn't 100% satisfied so I called the owner to provide some feedback. I explained that the flowers were wilted by the 3rd day and that the vases weren't tall enough to properly hold and display the bouquet. She became very defensive about the vases and explained that customers must mention anything related to the quality of the flowers within 48 hours. She said they would pay attention the next time. I told her there would likely not be a next time. Here's where it gets really interesting--Instead of her attempting to salvage the customer relationship by assuring me that she would do all she could to rectify the situation, she tells me that she prefers not delivering to my house anyway because we have a "difficult" guard at out guard gate. Yep, she turned it around on me. Here's the thing lady, I didn't hire the guard at our our community's entrance, so I have no control over that. However, YOU ARE the owner of your business and you not only have control, you have the RESPONSIBILITY to run your business with an appropriate approach to customer service. Freddie, the owner is an absolutely amazing florist! She created all of the bouquets, boutonnières and floral arrangements for my wedding and they were gorgeous. I showed her some pictures of my ideal arrangements and she exceeded my expectations. She made my wedding into a fairytale come true. My wife's Godmother sent her a live orchid for her birthday, which is June 3. The orchid was not delivered on June 3. My wife and I were home all day and never heard the doorbell ring. The doorbell has a loud, very audible ringtone. The orchid was delivered the next day, June 4. The delivery person claimed that she rang the doorbell, but that "it didn't work." Foothills Floral Gallery misspelled my wife's name on the gift card accompanying the birthday present. I called Foothills Floral Gallery and spoke with the manager, a woman named Cindy. She was brusque almost to the point of rudeness in responding to my report of the non-delivery of my wife's birthday gift on the date promised to her Godmother. She didn't seem to be concerned or care at all about my wife's disappointment at not receiving the orchid, which had sentimental value to her and her Godmother on her birthday. If you need a guaranteed delivery date, DO NOT TRUST FOOTHILLS FLORAL GALLERY! They just don't give a you-know-what about you. read more

I needed to give specific instructions on the address, etc. When I advised her which flowers I wanted she gave me a price more than $20 higher than listed online at their site. You should be allowed to give a half a star or no star. I ordered flowers for my wife's birthday. What a complete disappointment. Let me start by saying they didn't have sunflowers in stock at the time of my call (not a major issue). (Strike 1) $85 for a medium arrangement. It was medium in size, but after 2 days half of the flowers were dead or drooping. (Strike 2) They were in her office on the desk at 65 degree temperature so they shouldn't wilt and wither away like they did. I call to complain 12 minutes before they are due to close today and they don't answer the phone. (Strike 3) I cannot understand how businesses like this (you know them, the one's that exude little to no professionalism) are able to stay in business. Originally someone else was going to plan my flowers for me and a few weeks before my wedding that fell through. I live near Foothills Floral Gallery so I stopped in one day on my lunch break and the employee there, Aaron, was very professional, helpful and friendly. He helped me decide what flowers I should use for my bouquet and I was pleasantly surprised at the good pricing he quoted me. When I picked up my flowers prior to my wedding, I was thrilled! They were absolutely beautiful and even better than I had hoped for. I was very happy with Aaron's excellent work on my bouquet and the other flower arrangements, etc, that I had ordered. On the morning of December 31st I phoned Foothills Floral to inquire if they were open and the employee answering the phone confirmed that they were indeed open. When I arrived at the business at 11:45, I saw a "closed" sign on the door and a woman heading to a vehicle with "Foothills Floral" advertising on the vehicle. (owner?) I indicated to the woman that I had phoned earlier and was informed that the store was open, she stated the store closed at 12:00. When I mentioned it was 11:45, she insisted it was 12:00 and that her designer had left for the day. I was embarrassed for this woman. Clearly it was not yet twelve, nor did she care whether I ever return or not. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this apathetic place of business. read more

I was very disappointed with the flowers I recently ordered for my aunt's funeral. I'd ordered a specific bouquet and what I got was nothing similar. I understand about substitutions, but this wasn't even similar, not in color, types of flowers or size. Guess I should have quizzed the guy on the phone more as to accuracy when I placed the order! Do not use this service. Flowers showed up a day late and the flowers I did receive some were already wilted when they showed up. The delivery driver even proceeded to ask me if I wanted to just go get them from the shop myself (they were supposed to be a surprise). Completely ruined the experience of getting flowers.
