There are vendors that are at your wedding to perform a service and get out as quickly as possible. Not Alex! She is patient, listens to what your preferences are, gives guidance on visions without being overpowering, and is humble enough to make any tweaks or changes you might want. She is confident in her work and it shows! Alex made me feel beautiful during my wedding. She also made me feel totally comfortable because of her outgoing personality! Alex's sanitation practices are top notch (I feel an important callout to make in today's climate). She doesn't cheap out and takes care of her brides in the right way. She is also extremely professional. I was particular about how I wanted to handle contracts, and I asked for a lot of clarity and confirmation with payments. Never an issue for Alex. Her contract and payment system is super professional, which made it extremely seamless to work with her, understand the terms of our contract, and also ensure everything was handled from start to finish. Amidst everything else and the numerous vendors you might work with especially during an Indian wedding, it was a breath of fresh air to never have to worry about the small details when working with Alex. Ms. Painted Lady, Alex, is everything you need and want for your wedding weekend. DONT BOOK THIS TEAM…read more I was living in Chicago planning my wedding for May 21st in Dallas and needless to say she was the most unprofessional, undependable person and team. Stephanie worked with me over a 7th month period to fly in for TWO trials. The first was not to par to put it lightly. The makeup she did looked standard and like my everyday makeup and the hair was half done when i left. I then came for a second trial from Chicago and everything went well, but not perfect again. She told me i HAD to order clip in hair ($119) plus get a spray tan ($50) and fly in right before the wedding again to try again to get it the way i wanted. Also to set the stage, i wan ted a glow makeup look and a simple curled up do, nothing hard or complicated. After ALL this.... Stephanie e mailed me in the middle of the day 2 weeks and a day before my wedding and CANCELLED on me out of nowhere, stating it was not the "right fit" ...After numerous attempts to call her after receiving an EMAIL about her cancelling on me and offer more money or to discuss what the reasoning was live, she did not answer, call me back or try to contact me. Later to find out based on her posting a photo on her instagram, that she had double booked herself that day, which was the true reason she cancelled on me. Stephanie is unprofessional, unreliable and NOT a true artist. She did sub par work and in the end put me in a lurch at the last minute without having the decency to call me directly and explain what had happened. Again this is after 7 months of a contract being solidified. If you are looking to look stunning on your big day and truly know what you are getting, DONT GO TO HER. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

Even last minute, she was very accommodating. She did my makeup (airbrush) and styled my hair on my lunch break, and it looked great for our shoot after work! Before the engagement pictures, I had someone in mind to hire for the wedding. But after working with Rosie, I changed my mind! She is not only incredibly talented, but she is so sweet and cares about making you feel special. For the wedding makeup/hair trial, I tried the traditional makeup (not airbrush). My appointment was at 8:30 am and it lasted ALL DAY!!! Our wedding was 10/23/15, an extremely rainy day. She did makeup for my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law. I had a very diverse group of bridesmaids, and she chose styles that complimented all of their skin tones beautifully. My makeup was last, and she combined airbrush with some hand contouring. I have super frizzy wavy/curly-ish hair, but I wanted to wear it half up-half down. Whatever product she used prevented it from frizzing, despite the wetness and humidity! I felt incredibly beautiful, and I honestly think it is so important on your special day to be bursting with confidence. Please give Rosie a call and try her services, you won't be disappointed!!!

She was always communicative, professional, honest, and so easy to talk to. She never pushes you toward a certain look, and instead, guides you to figure out what you might like or might suit you best. She is a bit on the pricier end, but if you want quality work from someone who's reliable and pleasant to work with, then book Quynh! Also, let's just say there was a stark contrast between how I looked on my wedding day (when Quynh did my hair and makeup) vs my engagement photos (where I did my own hair and makeup).
