Messed up glasses where I can not read with them. The customer service has been pretty much nonexistant in any kind of help.

Paid cash for the eye exam and glasses over $300 First issue was couldn't read apparently they didn't put the correct info for the lab. Brought them back then 2 weeks later they did not fit basically falling off my face if I even looked down. The employee was annoyed and said she was trying to help but it was like talking to a brick wall. Definitely would not recommend this office . I am going to have to get another pair of glasses because these do not fit correct and i can't see well out of them. No help from the optometrist, I even asked if she was aware of the issue. read more

I went and asked the doctor why my contacts bothered my eyes so much... They were red and scratchy. When I left and I paid my bill for my glasses, I noticed there was a $85 charge extra... I had no idea that he was gonna charge me extra for asking a question. Everyone in the office is very nice so that was a plus, but I was disappointed with the price. read more

I usually don't come to this location but, my original location in Evergreen Park was all out of a trail pair of my contacts. I was told to go to Chicago Ridge to pick up a pair. When I got there Khayla did not want to give me pair. I explained to her what was going on showed her my receipt and she did not want to give me a pair. I left went to my car and called Evergreen park back and let them know what was happening. I went back in the store with the EP manager on the phone she explained to Khayla and she still did not want to give me a pair. There was no manager on site at Chicago Ridge to help me. Khayla had an attitude stopped helping me to help another customer that came in for a pick up because she was up set. I have been a long time customer of For Eyes and never had this problem before. Staff needs to be trained properly on customers come first. read more

Really bad experience...first of all she said glasses are gonna take 10 days to be ready and it took 3 weeks and a half didnt receive any call or anything and when I went there the lady on the counter was so rude and disrespectful and at the end when we took the glasses the lens was scratched and when I told her that she gave us some disgusting looks!!! read more

Had an amazing afternoon with Ms Kennasia. I of course waited to the last minute to use my insurance benefits. Ms Kennasia greeted me as I came in the door. Immediately gathered pertinent information then directed me to make several selections of frames. We evaluated my selection in terms of fit, form and fashion and eliminated a few that would not work with my prescription. I am so pleased with my glasses and sunglasses. The pricing was right - it just did not make sense to not get a second pair when the frames and lenses were st a discount for a second pair. I absolutely can't wait to go back and pick them up - as my selections, with Kennasia help, are on POINT! Thank you Kennasia for all your help. read more

No star from me. I encountered such bad attitude in this place. I left the store angry and disgusted with how they spoke to me. The man and woman there raised their voice at me while holding my toddler. I had to explain myself and defend my son for losing his lenses?? Why?! I'm trying to tell them the story and they cut me off all the time, tell me it's my fault his frame is broken. It's the child who bend the frame? . But the reality is, the frame was not holding his lenses from the first day. Within a month of purchase, we had to use the insurance to get another pair. Then, After 30 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally we have the second pair come in, just to have it break same way( the lenses would just fall off) . I didn't pay insurance on them this time.. so I call to see if I can just return them at this point. It's a bad product. Never did we experience this with past frames. On the phone they said come in and will do a return. In person, they said the frame is bent. So now it's not returnable because the first pair was payed 60 days ago!!!?!!! They are mad. I still had 30 days from the second pair. They made me drive in, for nothing. Just shocked how low communication is here. I payed all out of pocket and feeling like they played me stupid and stole my money. Bad policies and bad attitude, bad manners, bad customer service. Take your money elsewhere! read more

Quick update to my previous 5 star rating from YEARS ago. Ugh, I'm so disappointed with this place. My new frames are less than a year old and one of the two frames is severely scratched. Like my earlier review, the doctor was wonderful, kind, and patient. The 2 staff members I dealt with, however, have plenty of room to grow... The man that answered my call today needs to take a customer service class. He's defensive almost combative and really wasn't able to answer me or properly articulate an answer in order to move the conversation forward...I still don't know if I have a warranty on my lenses, I don't know how long it's gonna take to fix them, I really know nothing except that I have to pay another $40 and they're going to ship it to some place that's different than normal??? And I have to drive there and drop off my frames because their new parent company blah blah blah!! I really don't trust these people taking my eye glasses and attempting to replace the lenses. That's sad. And on top of it, I don't want to deal with that guy again for pick up and adjusting. It's a shame because I spent about $500 and now I think I'm just going to have to go elsewhere. read more

I was there on August 8 and I hadn't been there for a long time but I'm so glad I went back. Dr. Hamayel was so thorough and knowledgeable and she worked with me to make sure my contacts fit well, I can't say enough about her and the people who work there. Today I had an appointment at 3pm,I arrived at 245pm. I sat down and waited for someone to greet me and check me in for my appointment. Mind you there was only one staff person tending to the customer looking at glass wearin the waiting area. I understand services are scaled down due to COVID but I still should have been checked in by now I was there already 15minutes, I understand he was busy but he should have checked in with me. The doctor was busy. The lack of service was very disappointing considering I made this appointment over two weeks ago. I left after nobody acknowledged my presence. To say the least I will not be returning to this office, I took my business elsewhere. I'm giving this place zero stars. read more

Was far less than happy. They mail to your home so there is no adjustments for fitting which almost everyone needs. . Prices are overly inflated. One pair can cost 360.00 easy. If you order a 2nd pair you get 100.00 off the second. Their frame selection is not good for all face shapes or those with special prescriptions. And they do not guide you to the correct frame for your face or prescriptions. Their 'lump pair' pricing does not tell you actual costs of your items. The exam was the best experience of this location. And the reason that was good is the next patient did not show so the doctor took the time needed. I would not recommend this company, it used to be good, and the staff used to have integrity, not now. No professional appearance, knowledge, or helping the patient. read more

I stopped by to order new glasses. I was told that they would be with me as soon as possible and I agreed. After an hour of waiting, being given reasons why they need to take other before me I left without ordering the glasses. They take appointments every thirty minutes and do not allow time for walks ins. If that is the case, communicate this to anyone that walks in. I would have preferred a realistic message that others would take priority instead of sting me along and having me waste my time. read more

There is a groupon for $35 worth $200 that could be used here. Check it out before going in for your appointment. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Had additional frames taken from the back storage room to give me more options. This afternoon will be our SIXTH visit to get my 14 year old son his contact lens prescription. He is a first time contact wearer. We have gone home with four different versions of prescriptions for him. 1st ~ Same prescription for both eyes, even though incorrect for one eye 2nd ~ Correct prescription for both eyes, still blurry as astigmatism was ignored 3rd ~ Astigmatism lens for one eye 4th ~ Astigmatism lens for both eyes Back & forth, back & forth over a Three WEEK time frame. School starts on Monday ~ we have yet to order lens !!! It is beyond me as to why the correct lens weren't given to us in the beginning. Both doctors have said that sometimes it takes a little while to get the prescription right. read more

I came into For Eyes with my eyewear prescription and was ecstatically happily greeted by a young lady named Weronika. She took the time to explain to me what eyeglass frames would be best suited for me based on my needs. She explained to me what promotions and warranties the store was offering. At the end of this short and enjoyable process, I am happy to announce that I am a proud owner of a brand new pair of glasses. Wonderful experience! Great customer service! WOW! I had an eye exam and purchased glasses after walking in. The entire staff was friendly and warm. I was expecting to be left all alone as I rummaged for my new glasses but my salesperson, Argie was ever so attentive, courtious, and accomodating. Argie helped me to select the most perfect frames. I had a horrible experience at this place. They wanted $400 for a pair of glasses, and tried putting on 100's of dollars in add-ons without my consent. That's $400 AFTER insurance. I informed them that I have never needed to pay over $100 for glasses with my insurance, and I wouldn't pay that much. I had them write out my RX and bought my glasses for a fraction of the price from a reputable place. When I got my glasses, I found out that they were way off on my RX. They then failed to call me for my trail pair of contacts. This place is a waste of time and money. I highly recommend not bothering with this b-squad of optometry. read more

Do not go to this center. Dr ___ specifically told me I needed a prescription set of glasses. I went for a second opinion after picking up glasses and finding them impossible to wear. I was informed I could wear reading glasses (cheaters). I was charged $400 and this is fraud. read more

Everyone here is as professional, friendly and helpful as a staff can be. Walked in 15 minutes early for an appointment, and was helped immediately. Even when I was having issues with my insurance policy and needed to make some phone calls, the staff, especially Meechie, was extremely patient and did whatever they could to help. Not many places where you'll find that. Everyone genuinely likes their job. Great customer service and overall a great go to place for glasses, contacts and checkups. read more

I have been going here since I was young. Both doctors are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Whenever I have an issue with my eyes(happens more often the usual due to my job) they go above and beyond to solve it without charging an arm and a leg. Our family has been going to this For Eyes location for years. The doctor is very thorough and knowledgeable. All of the For Eyes staff are great and know their products. They are easy to deal with and try to give you the best while staying in your budget. We wouldn't go anywhere else for our eye care. Meechie has been taking care of us for a while now and is just wonderful. But like I said, you can't go wrong with any of the folks at this location. read more
