I've been ordering at Pete's a few times, and they always delivered. It's a quick online ordering, and it's usually ready in less than 20 minutes for pick-up. The value of breakfast and lunch sandwiches is incredible. The pricing is the most reasonable between Bethel and Danbury delis. You may have to wait a few minutes if you order when you walk-in at busy times, but a little patience can go a long way. We waited forty five minutes for two breakfast sandwiches. Both were wrong. The service was terrible and the woman at the front was rude and unprofessional. She was screaming at a customer on the phone and rude to everyone in the store. One breakfast sandwich had no bacon. One was ordered without egg and had egg on it. Then when asked to fix the sandwiches, she gave back the one without bacon wrapped up without fixing it and was glaring and giving dirty looks the entire time. Completely unprofessional. read more

I will never go there again. I ordered a BLT on white toast. They made it on whole wheat toast, which I hate and I know I would never have ordered it on whole wheat bread. I said I ordered it on white bread and the woman who makes the sandwiches argued with me. Instead of offering to make 2 slices of white toast, which I would have been happy with, she proceeded to tell me I said "whole wheat bread". I used to go there frequently, but I won't be going back. There wasn't anything for us vegetarians here, but I must say it's really done well inside and outside! Lots of places to sit at, fresh sandwiches and so on. I've only been in here 3 times over two years - which makes absolutely no sense based on the fantastic hero sandwiches I have purchased. This is going to be my regular stop. Today, I bought 3 heroes: Chicken, ham, and pastrami heroes. (They each have names: the Neopolitan, the Bureaucrat, and the Flatbush.) Total cost: under $20 ($19.57 I think) These were hot subs - better than anything I've had at Nardelli's, Subway or Jersey Mike's - without getting reamed on the cost. There's nothing fancy inside - just excellent food and good service at a great price. The rolls for the heroes were fantastic - I am curious where they get them, especially since CT (unlike NY delis) is not known for it's bread. While its different than a seeded Arthur Ave bread - it stands strong as a great hero roll. Moist but still firm enough to compete, but not overtake the stuff inside. NOTE: George S made one angry review. He's pissed because of things and the masking and decided to kick a hard working place in the teeth because of his phobias. I suspect you may one day see "CT" George S driving by you in a car wearing 4 masks with Philadelphia Flyer logos - his hockey confusion emblematic of his utter confusion. I know guys similar to George who beat puppies and when a puppy bites him he will call animal control and ask them to put the "vicious" dog down. He has no credibility. George S - I implore you to be kinder to others and stop living in fear of germs every moment - clearly jabbed/masked/unmasked - second , third, fourth jab - we don't know how to stop the thing. So I come to this place because it's the only deli around and cheap not for the food, there is a sign on the door from town wear a mask,there a some old guys that sit there for probably 2 hours not wearing masks and a few other people not as well screw it I'm not wearing one and I am vaccinated by the way, so the woman proceeds to go to the door rip down town sign and put her own sign saying masks required meanwhile one woman cooking has mask below her nose and other guy below his chin give me a break much better delis in the area. read more

I have never had a bad meal there, the prices are very reasonable, and the service has always been timely a friendly, and their selections are many. pete's deli is great. The parking lot is kinda scary/busy but there is plenty of parking in back. The menu is pretty big, they do breakfast also. I always get a veggie egg wrap with a hash brown ON the wrap. It's so good. My husband always gets some kind of chicken cutlet sandwich. I don't think they make the breading themselves but it's still good. Both sandwiches comes to around $10. They have lots of seating, tons of different drinks and lots of chips. In the back they have cute little antique things for sale. It's a good deli. I would recommend it. read more

Let's be honest; if I told you, as a friend, that there was a deli in Bethel that sold a steak, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich for under $3 on mornings, wouldn't you be sold on that idea alone? Coming from a friend's recommendation, this and ONLY this was the reason why I woke up earlier than normal on a Saturday morning to trek across town for. I needed to see why my friend continued to rave about Pete's. It's a deli, so it has a deli layout like you'd expect. There's also a spacious seating area in case you feel like dining in. They have a list of menu items above the deli, but I came specifically for this steak, egg, and cheese, so that's what I ordered. Just a heads up: you'll need to order directly at the deli counter and not from the register. All of the orders get taken there, then you go to the register to pay for it. Don't make the mistake I did and assume you're ordering from the register and wait around like a total doofus until the lady behind the deli counter asks what you're waiting on. The sandwich was pretty amazing for under $3, $2.75 to be exact, and I even got an OJ with it too! Nothing beats a runny egg on a breakfast sandwich, especially when there's steak laying next to it. This place is a true gem on Stony Hill. I'll DEFINITELY be back. read more
