The menu has the usual deli fare of soup, salads, wraps, burgers with daily specials and some interesting, original sandwich combinations which I've enjoyed like The Maximus which has peppercorn turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, roasted red pepper mayo, coleslaw and hot peppers on Italian bread or Cadillac Frank which has eggs, hot roast beef, lettuce, tomato onion, american cheese on a hardroll or The Legend wraps which has eggs, bacon, hash browns, montery jack and salsa. Their home made cookies can sometimes be a little burnt around the edges but that's fine since I kind of like them like that. There is lots of parking on their corner lot. Woah, I was not expecting this! I was out in the area working and needed a lunch with my coworkers today when I used my yelp app to find a deli. The menu items sounded interesting and we decided to come here! I am so glad we did!!! I ordered a sandwich that had grilled marinated chicken, mozzarella, a pesto mayo and it was amazingly delicious! The bread was very good! My coworkers also raved about their sandwiches as well. If it wasnt a real wedge bread I would think I was eating Subway. The sandwich is thin to say the least and very disappointing for $8.50. This is why you need to trust my review. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. We have some of the best delis in the country. My understanding of what makes a good deli is heads and shoulders above other patrons. That's absolutely fantastic and mouth watering. 2. The menu selection. For a small local deli that only provides fresh ingredients, these humble brothers have one hell of a selection. Not to mention that they'll make anything you want. One thing that I truly love is that they will not compromise their integrity by substituting Ingredients that they're out of. Meaning, when they're out, they're out. They learn from the demand. Insider tip: the clan chowder could win awards. 3. Their desire to please. They always... ALWAYS ask for feedback. That means that whatever I give them, they take and use it to make their service and product that much better. I love this place! This place feels like coming home, honest to God. The guys will get you whatever you're hungry for. I was working overnights w/ my buddies and as soon as they opened up shop at 6 AM we'd be right there ready to order up some food. We were there every morning for a week straight. Their Beckies (Bacon, Egg & Cheese) hits the spot every time. We'd get creative and get bagels with avocado too. The brothers would be down to fix up whatever we wanted. Alright, So I might be the first 4 star guy rating these guys, but that's only because I haven't had lunch there yet. I started today with one of their breakfast sandwiches, and I can tell you that it was everything I was looking for, the perfect breakfast burrito - eggs, cheese, bacon, salsa and some potatoes. Oh man, my breakfast needs were totally satisfied. I also talked with Will and Will, both two great guys (and not to mention the orchestration the other employees performed as customers strolled in and left with their orders), but I could tell this is a place, a fine deli that I will come back to multiple times. I know I only gave you guys 4 stars, but I will be back to amend (plus, I mean, if I gave you 5, you wouldn't have anything to work up to)... Here is how I found this place: I had an hour wait ahead of me at the DMV! I yelped and round this about a 5 minute walk away. Excellent deli and maybe a dozen places to sit. I ordered several bacon egg and cheese sandwiches along with sides and sweets. I ordered a side of hashbrowns with each sandwich. The woman behind the counter asked if I wanted the hashbrowns on the sandwiches. I said No! I waited for 20 mins waiting for the hashbrowns to finish cooking... only to be told they put them on the sandwiches. I was late already and was already annoyed watching people come and go. I spent $40 and all breakfast sandwiches went in the trash bins. They were soggy and the grease soaked into the roll. None of us could eat them. Sooooo disappointed. I won't be returning. I've known the Kaptein's for as long as I can remember, and as far as I can tell, they treat this everybody that walks into their deli like family. I eat lunch here about once a week and every time I am immediately greeted by somebody ready to take my order. That isn't where it ends. It's hard for me to deviate from my usual, the piglet (which is absolutely amazing), but every time I have eaten here, it seems like the food gets better each time. I work nearby and am always looking for good lunch spots to try. Gave Kaptein's a shot, and now I'm a repeat customer. My favorite salad is the chicken club, and it's great as a wrap also. Fresh ingredients, you can tell they take pride in their establishment and their food. Located on the corner near the train track, this small unique deli is a crowd pleaser. They serve breakfast also which I haven't had the pleasure of popping in for yet, but if it's anything like their lunch options it certainly won't disappoint.
