Went here for a quick lunch this week solo, you order at the counter and then they bring your food to your table. I got the half sandwich half soup which is a good deal, sandwich was good on crusty French bread. The soup wasn't good though, Italian wedding soup with not a veggie in sight and like 10 tiny noodles if that, or maybe no noodles at all I really couldn't tell. It had 4 medium sized frozen meatballs. They're so uniform and taste familiar from the grocery store I'm positive. Make some tiny meatballs like real Italian wedding soup is supposed to have! The soup wasn't hot. I wish I picked a different flavor! Maybe I'll stick with sandwiches next time. Also the front display was pretty empty with like maybe one type of cookie. Check out that the veg burger is $12 and the regular burger is $6. If the price discrepancy is so big, maybe don't serve it? Seems more like an F-you than it does trying to accommodate to a vegetarian or vegan. I don't mind paying $12 dollars for a good burger, but it's the principle here. read more

Typically deli food. Staff is super friendly and helpful. My office orders take out occasionally here. They have great curly fries. I usually get a salad which is normally fresh (once in a while there is some questionable lettuce) with a scoop of chicken salad or tuna salad on top. Chicken salad or tuna salad is always fresh and never use a ton of mayo which helps. Co workers order the burgers from here and enjoy them. Salads and breads come with Focaccia bread that is pretty good it has baked cheese on top. Soups are normally good here I have had the chicken soup and the French onion soup. They have have a baked good glass front in the deli which has pretty good sweets - depends on the day of what they have. I came here as the Impossible Burger Website listed this place as one of the locations where one can try the burger at. I didn't see it on their wall menu, so I asked if they carried it. And the server who was very kind, was also very enthusiastic about my order. He seemed to be a fan of the burger as well. I like how they served it, a choice of fries, curly fries or sweet potato fries, and a fountain drink or bottled water. The burger was excellent but even more so was the idea that you could assemble your own burger as the onions, tomatoes and lettuce came on the side and not assembled together. On the tables were a bottle of hot sauce, salt and pepper, to flavor if needed. So I truly liked the concept of the way they served the burger. Sorry about being repetitive. Definitely coming back. While the representative who took my wife's and my order was nice and personable. We received our take out order and when we got home, we were both disappointed. The meat was cut too thick for a sandwich, there were more vegetables than meat on the sandwich, plus my sandwich had little flavor and an off aroma, as if old or stale. *** Since we took our meal home to eat, we did not have the opportunity to express our displeasure and see what the staff would have done to resolve our concerns. But thinking "once bitten, twice shy", we have no intention of revisiting Biksbee's while we are in Bethel. read more

I ordered a Smoked Turkey on Bastone (a kind of baguette) w/chips, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup (having been told good things about their soup). When I got home, I found they had given me -regular- turkey on sliced multigrain. Then I tried their much-touted chicken soup, and found it flavorless. I should have read the reviews before coming here. The food was definitely mediocre. I ordered a large chicken caesar salad with a side of dressing. The salad was a really large portion which was nice because it costed $10. However the salad dressing was absolutely disgusting. It was nothing but flavored mayonnaise. That's right, straight up MAYONNAISE. I'm aware that some mayo goes in caesar salad dressing but never have I ever been given dressing that when I go to hold the dressing container upside down, nothing comes out because it is so viscous. Also, the salad consisted of an entire lettuce head and tiny croutons. Thank God I ordered chicken (which cost extra), otherwise I'd be eating just green leaves like a rabbit. Biksbees has a good selection for lunch and even have a Pick Two (half a sandwich, half a wrap, soup, salad, etc) deal. That's what I chose on the day that I went there. I ordered a half chicken salad (with lettuce and tomato) wrap with a mixed green salad. You get much more salad than what you'd think and the wrap is pretty big too. I was disappointed by the chicken salad because it really didn't have much flavor, if any. You get a decent amount of food, but I still think that the prices are pretty high. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and could be a nice setting for a lunch date or appointment. Although, the price alone would not make me go out of the way to stop at Biksbees anytime soon. read more

I've ordered burgers from here before that are usually pretty good, but this time I ordered the Cubano panini with a fruit cup, and an extra side of onion rings. I can't believe I have driven past this place for the last six years and never gone in until 2020! It's a almost a diner in the heart of Bethel...a diner with fresh choices ad home cooked dishes. I love to get a half sandwich half salad and sit in a booth to catch up on my email in my way home. And I used to go to Panera which is four dollars more for a processed stale half and half...tsk tsk. Check out the menu on line, everything I have had has been delicious. Staff is accommodating and there's just a good hometown vibe inside. Good for any age, I've seen families with young kids up to seniors. I unfortunately haven't been to Biksbee's in a couple of years due Covid and just basically staying home. However, in the past month I've had to reach out to them to see if they could accommodate two last-minute catering orders for us. I have to say nothing has changed at Biksbee's. Charles was so great and helpful and even went out his way to deliver one of the orders to Bridgewater (way out of their delivery area). Charles, you and your staff are rockstars and thank you again for working with us at the last minute. I know I can always count on you for great food at a good price and reliable service. They're never consistent. Ive been giving this place my business regularly and never have I experienced such rude behavior from the owner of any establishment. I'm not even half a mile away and yet they still cannot follow simple direction. They just took my money with the generous tip I had left for them. I had told them in the original phone call I wanted no contact delivery. I've had situations with them where they've brought my food to the wrong town entirely. I get it sometimes places get stressed out with orders, the way the owner handled this was not only embarrassing (grown man screaming I don't care I don't care) while I was calmly explaining I told him I wanted no contact delivery (via nice tip). Overall this was an insane experience and I won't be returning. I've been told this isn't the first time they've treated their own customers like this and now I've experienced it first hand. Super embarrassing way to deal with stress towards your own customers. Hopefully I see my money back since I had paid for the food over the phone. read more

Normally LOVE this place & always go there when I'm not working but the last time I called an order in to pick up I asked for the Prime Rib sandwich & got Roast Beef with L&T only & the "Bixbee Sandwich & got shaved Roast beef with butter on bread. Conveniently located in the same plaza as Molten Java (which you should stop by afterwards for coffee), Biksbees is great for lunch, and does it very well at a great price. After randomly stumbling across it via Yelp, I figured I'd check it out. As stated before, Biksbees is on the back end of Dolan Plaza. I know I've seen it on my prior visits to Molten, hence why I recognized the sign, but the name alone didn't really ring any bells. In any case, I stopped by for lunch. I briefly looked at an online menu before I left for lunch, so I had an idea of what they offered, which looked like sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, etc. It all sounded great, so I asked the cashier what a good recommendation would be since I honestly couldn't choose. She said The Biksbee and The Usual sandwiches were pretty frequent sellers, so I sided with the turkey version of The Biksbee to-go. I paid $7.75, or something close to that, which is awesome since you get the full sandwich, a bag of chips, and a dill pickle spear on the side (conveniently wrapped in a plastic bag to prevent leaking onto the sandwich). Pretty solid sandwich, especially the Italian bread. The small grill press they must have done to slightly toast both sides worked well with this type of bread, and kept everything within the sandwich cold. Great sandwich joint, I'll be back to try some other signature sandwiches they have to offer. read more

I can get same, if not better, at Panera for same price. Food was a little cold, Broccoli Cheddar soup was great (but then again, most things are better with cheese in them). Weird plates made it hard to eat. Iv'e been here 3x, each time I feel it's "ok". Would go again if I couldn't find anywhere else to eat. This location used to be "giovannis" and was an excellent small deli/specialty restaurant. Now it's biksbees, and i've been there several times. The food is very plain and in some items is borderline terrible. The atmosphere and interior renovations are very nice, but its run like a fast food restaurant, and the grilled sandwiches particularly are under-grilled and sometimes even soggy. They also have pre-made sandwiches and wraps that are sold at the Shell station next door, and it seems even at the restaurant there isnt much effort put into the platters. Every sandwich/wrap comes with an unopened tiny bag of lays potato chips on a cheap tray. It would be somewhat okay if the meals were cheap. But they aren't. For example a chicken fajita wrap that's very small is $7.00. Hopefully they realize these faults, if the food was great this would be an all-around excellent spot. I also have to add that the last time I was there was late 2009. read more
