( yeah, I know the titles are the same but it depends on what kind of charter we're on) Driver's there are plenty of bus parking right along the side walk next to his business. There are wall to wall souvenirs for your memories to Washington D.C. including kid toys. I'm not going to wave on and on about what's inside go see for yourself. Like I told my students "Don't let your eyes overload your wallet ". With his prices, you will walk outta there with unique souvenirs for everyone you know and love and even more for yourself. Oh yeah, his drinks are cold and goes down just right on hot days like today! I recommend Abe's because Tour Groups as well as the Charter Driver are on a strict schedule. As a driver, we can only drive 10hrs a day and the many groups we charter desire we drive the entire 10 hours. If I was a passenger, I would want the same seeing that they rent the bus for the entire drivers 10 hours. If I can elevate a stop AND keep them happy that warms my heart AND I can get to the Hotel on time, in bed so I can rest my nerves. Now speaking as a Professional Tour Driver, it's VERY important that our passengers are happy because if they aren't WE get stressed because they start to complain about every little thing we do. Majority of the time, the passengers ask for our OPINION for the best places to eat AND shop. AS a tourist myself, I want the best bang for my buck when it comes to spending my money in ANY capacity. As the driver, I NEED a great spot to let them off AND shop/look around if I can. I am always the last to exit the bus BUT expected to be back on the bus when RHEY are ready to leave. No one likes to be kept waiting. Time is VERY important for us all, I/we can't afford to waste time in lines. On my FIRST visit to ABES on the request of the Tour Guide, I was able to find GIFTS for myself and loved ones without paying for over priced unique gifts. Up to date, 90 percent of my gifts for myself have been magnets and shot glasses. I'm not spending another dime on them being that I've later saw the same glasses and magnets I could buy the same magnets at a truck stop and CHEAPER. I don't buy my family many souvenirs because they chunk them in a drawer or regift them at Christmas. As I mention in majority of my reviews, I'm watching EVERY penny I spend and not be a frivolous spender. Talk to you later on my next review!!

When my friend and I walked in, there were already two other customers in the store. No one greeted any of us. In fact, it didn't even seem like anyone was working there. We noticed two employees sitting at a table in the middle of the store on their laptops with their heads down, but neither acknowledged customers as they entered. We spent about 15 minutes browsing, talking about products, and clearly showing interest in making a purchase. Still, no one approached us or asked if we needed assistance. Eventually, I walked over and asked one of the women if she worked there. She looked up and said, "Yes, I work here." I responded by saying that it honestly felt like no one worked there because no one had greeted or acknowledged us. Her demeanor immediately changed, and she responded with an attitude before asking how she could help. The lack of basic customer service was disappointing. A simple "Hello" or "Let us know if you need anything" would have made a huge difference. Instead, customers were left feeling ignored and unwelcome. I can't speak to why we received this level of service, but I can only describe what happened during our visit. It was not a welcoming experience, and based on this visit, I would hesitate to return.

Given how picky we are about art and how long it takes us to get art up, that's saying a lot. The style and colors are perfect and it's a great way to remember other parts of our lives. My only complaint is that they don't have more maps to buy. As somebody who lives in the burbs of DC (I know, judge all you want), I had to pick between DC proper or past cities I'd lived in. It would be really cool to have maps of some of the closer in burbs.
