Alright, this hit the insta locals for a while before it opened. The wife wanted to hit it up after that (consider her influenced). We went on opening day around 5ish? The line was stretched to the irish bar at the end of the road. After waiting in line for 130-145, we hit the kiosk. The options were on their website so they asked you to know your order so you don't doom scroll at the tablet (great call). I got the basic becky and that thing HIT. What a great spot to open in Clarendon and it's open hella late too.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was just okay. The biggest disappointment was that all of the flavors tasted very similar, none of them really stood out or had a distinct, memorable flavor. I sampled several of my kids' ice creams as well, and they all had the same issue. My kids were not screaming for ice cream. For the price, I expected a lot more. While I appreciated that the whipped cream is made in-house, it wasn't enough to make the experience feel worth the cost. There are several other ice cream shops in the area that offer more flavorful options, shorter waits, and a much better overall value.

    The line!

Scoop N Scootery is all over social media but is it worth the hype? Normally we wouldn't want to wait an hour for ice cream, however, we were in the area grabbing a sandwich and didn't have anything else planned so we walked over. There were probably 50 peeps in line when we arrived around 630pm on a Saturday. The line slowly expanded while we waited. 50 minutes later we got to the front of the store where there are 2 kiosks to place your order. You never go inside...order and wait on the sidewalk. They have so many interesting sundaes which is the allure of Scoop N Scootery. We had ample time to review the menu in line and I must say I couldn't really make up my mind because several sounded so appealing. After ordering, we wait approximately 5-10 mins and they call your name. We dig in...wow...tasty....love the combos of ice cream, toppings, whipped cream, frosting, etc. Fire!

We all scream for ice cream! This is a new spot that just opened up and the line is ridiculous. If you're planning on coming, definitely bring a friend who will help keep your company. I came with a gym friend post our workout to give ourselves a sweet treat. It's really close by the Clarendon Metro and kind of hidden down the alleyway near Liberty Tavern. A friend and I stood in line for approximately 40-45 minutes on a Saturday afternoon around 4PM. Their menu is kind of big so the wait time actually kind of helps with giving you enough time to decide what you actually want. There are two iPad kiosk, where you can build your own or choose of their signature menu, which has a lot of items, somewhere also just fun to read through like one was called the demogorgon. It's a window pick up and has maybe two tables for two people each to sit at. There's also a table where they put extra spoons and napkins for people which I think was a smart choice considering how busy they are. They have a lot of sizes, but to be honest there are many is already bigger than most ice cream regular size. I like the concept of having a core to break up the ice cream and it just has a lot of good flavors that they build into each of their signature items. Since this was a pre-dinner dessert, my friend and I shared a strawberry shortcake mini, which was plenty for me because it's still pretty sweet. I still devoured it and under 10 minutes, but that's because it was just too yummy. The cream cheese frosting, red velvet core, topped with strawberries. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it again. It was so good and there's so many flavors to try. I'll definitely be back again.

This is a newer addition to the Clarendon area and seemingly very popular. I have yet to pass by this place without there being a long line and so I finally decided to check it out because who doesn't love a nice bowl of ice cream on a warm summer day? Despite the length of the line it moved fairly quickly. All the orders were handled outside or at their service window which probably helped with expediting things. They feature an endless array of sundae options with very quirky names like dirt, fluffington post, and granddaddy just to name a few. And as a heads up even the smallest bowl option is a pretty sizely portion. Prices generally range from $10-$15 but it's well worth it. Being a huge fan of apple pie I decided to try out their à la mode flavor which did not disappoint, flavorful with huge chucks of apple pie, caramel drizzle, and whipped cream. Definitely recommend giving them a try whenever you're in the area.

I can see why this place is getting a lot of hype right now. If you have a serious sweet tooth then this place will definitely satisfy your needs. This location recently opened and of course social media is spreading the word. They are opened from 3:00 pm to 2:00am. I got in line at 2:45 and a long lined quickly formed before opening. They have two kiosk where you can place your order and a table with lids, spoons and paper towels. It would be helpful to know what you want prior to ordering. The kiosk has the Sundaes in alpha order. They have four different sizes. The mini is plenty big for one person. I found that the ice cream melts pretty quickly and makes a bit of a mess if you are not careful. I got the Garland which had krispy treats and s'mores ice cream and the vanilla frosted cupcake. I will say that I liked the Garland a little bit better. Pack your patience and expect to wait depending on what time you get there. I don't think the hype will go away anytime soon for this place.

OK, I finally weathered the long line today and honestly, I was kind of hoping not to like it so I wouldn't have to deal with the line again. But, I loved it. This is not for people who like things simple. This is for people like me who like things over-the-top. Each sundae has many different aspects to it - whether it's whipped cream, a marshmallow tunnel, a chocolate core, candy, fruit, cake, cheesecake, cupcakes, Nutella, peanut butter, etc. You can have it all here and mix it all together. More is more! It's delicious and I will be coming back. I also met the owner a different day and she is super nice. About the prices - I t's not cheap but compared to other ice cream places around town, for all that you get here, the price is good.

It's opening weekend so the lines are crazy, we waited over an hour and were there right when it opened. But it did not disappoint, it was amazing. I've never had ice cream with cookie dough and a thick layer of chocolate icing on top. It was decadent and could definitely be shared between two people. They had a plethora of menu items to where it was a bit overwhelming but you will definitely be able to find something you like. I like that you order on the iPad, and it's an order and go set up. The staff seemed nice and they were quick with service once you ordered.

waited 2 hours in line during their grand opening, so many sundae flavors and I loved my phantomberry one! Staff were very organized and friendly, ice cream came out surprisingly fast

I thought that this place was going to be overhyped...I was really thinking, what's the big deal? So I got my first order and that was when I realized why people have been standing in line for hours. Delicious is not the right word...it was ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE!!! I think I'm obsessed now. Hands down, one of the best deserts I have ever tasted. I'm not sure how they do it, but I was addicted from the first spoonful. I could not put that spoon down! We got the signature sundaes, Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and Four Horsemen. Sooooo good. Can't wait to come back to try more flavors, and the wait will definitely be worth it.

    FOUR HORSEMEN

We waited in line for about 40 minutes on a Wednesday evening. Personally, I think the wait was worth it since it was a perfect night and we just talked the entire time. I tried the four horseman because I don't like frosting and I love peanut butter and Oreos. I was completely shocked by how delicious the sugar cookie bites were. The Oreo peanut butter ice cream was perfect. Despite it being very busy, the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming again!

Yesterday was their grand opening so my friends and I waited in line for a bit over an hour, but it was so incredibly worth it!! The ice cream came out surprisingly fast for the volume of people ordering so their staff must be trained incredibly well. Their menu has 75 (!!) different sundae options, so with that hour wait we had plenty of time to evaluate our options. I got the Get Baked sundae, which has their cookie dough ice cream, edible cookie dough, toffee sprinkles, and chocolate buttercream icing. Genuinely, the best sundae I think I've ever had, and for a 'mini' size I could barely finish it. You could easily split it with another person, and they had 3 larger sizes to pick from. Price is on the higher end, but for the amount of ice cream you actually get, it ends up feeling like a bargain. I live on the Hill, but best believe I'll be making the trek over to Clarendon this summer to get a sundae.

After several attempts to get my "Scoops" fix, I totally get the hype! My kids went the opening night with their cousins and absolutely loved it!! We swung by today and got the Strawberry blonde, Cookie Monster, Kit Kat, and some sundae with coffee in it (that was one of my requirements, hahah). It honestly didn't matter though - all the speciality sundaes were incredible!! Scoops is not just a fad - it's the real deal!! So happy they've joined us here in Arlington. And for all of you who are "jonesing" for some ice cream ... the line is worth the wait. I promise - or the next Scoop is on me ;)

We sat at the bar top and got to watch our barista prepare each drink. She was so nice and knowledgeable about the whole menu and had a lot of information to share, but she also gave my us time to sip our drinks and discuss them amongst ourselves. It was a great balance of being able to have an interactive experience with the barista but also being able to casually enjoy our afternoon espressos quietly with each other. Your final drink of choice is served in a larger size and given to-go, so you can continue having your treat even after the experience wraps up. The drinks themselves were so unique and wildly different from one another. I was initially pretty skeptical about an espresso with lemon and peach but it ended up being my favorite one. My only complaint is their base espresso on it's own was one of the more bitter ones I have tried, but mixed into their drinks it was great. I couldn't recommend this experience more highly. I had such a fun time, no part of it felt rushed, I thoroughly enjoyed every part. They even have the option to make the drinks from the Omakase menu decaf if you're trying to limit your caffeine, which is a really nice touch. I will definitely be back!

I was sitting down inside and the ambiance was very nice and quiet, and I have super sensitive hearing, I can hear things very clearly, I heard this one guy working there and it sounded to me like he was harassing one of the girl workers there, she seems very young, it was very concerning and honestly kinda weird and disturbing to hear this guy say this at work. Not very professional like, I would suggest talking to this guy or firing him. If I was working there and this guy said this to me, I would quit. Then another time I was there and he was being rude to a customer, this was on a Sunday and one again I was there just sitting and I was witnessing it. Other than that; everything else was amazing.
