He is a plumbing wizard, and a good guy to have on a job site. His competent wife handles things behind the scenes, and it's rare to have such frequent, friendly, and value-added communication. When I brought up the sales tax exemption for capital improvements (which is something few people know about), Kelly took it upon herself to call friends and the actual government to clarify the requirements and establish the proper paperwork. With other bids, I stated I would be providing the fixtures, but other bids came in offering their preferred fixtures plus sales tax. You'd think a one-man operation would slow things down, but what I experienced was a plumber who managed every aspect with a critical eye, versus relying on less experienced subs rushing through a job. I still don't know how he managed to perfectly set a 66" bathtub and a 90 lb slate shower base by himself, but Joe is a gentle giant who knows it all when it comes to plumbing. He works independently, and offered suggestions and tips I hadn't considered. He also listens to cool music and carried some heavy things for me after I twisted an ankle without blinking an eye (I'm not proud). Although plumbing isn't the sexiest job out there, once you see how much work he puts in, you'll understand that you're receiving platinum service for what is very reasonable pricing. I received nearly a dozen proposals for a comprehensive and annoying job, and Joe's was the one that included all the details of the work involved, while others focused on upselling fixtures and completely neglecting components of the job. Despite our being a new customer and their being "booked solid until a week from Friday," they had a plumber out that afternoon to fix the sink and another out first thing the next morning to locate and fix the leak. Both Mike and Kenny were great, and the bill was a pleasant surprise. But for their quick work, our week at the beach likely would have turned into a one-night stay.

I would like to share my experience with Atomic Plumbing. Please read all the reviews before going…read moreto any Plumber! I had a light flash on my hot water heater and called the warranty department. The warranty department informed me we had to do an elemental check and will need a plumber to come out to check the reading. Once the plumber comes out give us (the warranty department) a call and they will walk them through on the issue. I called Atomic Plumbing and explained to the reception on the issue at hand. Gave her full details needed before the tech came and like most people who wrote the review, I too got a diagnostic fee but mine was 198.00. The tech came out, I gave him the details, and he informed me that an additional 130.00 will be added to the diagnostic fee because he was not informed, he had to make a phone call to the warranty office. I shook my head and said no, I was told the diagnostic fee was only going to be 198.00 because of the short notice and we need a tech to come out today. The tech informed me if he makes the call, it would be an hourly rate. Normally the call will take 30 min to an hour or more, he would have to wait on the call, give out details, and eventually delaying him on getting to the problem at hand. I told the tech the work has already been done; we have a case number already in place and they are waiting for his phone call. Tech said he can only do what the company would allow him to do. I agreed to the new price and the tech made the call. The tech gave the case number, and he was immediately routed to the department. The phone call literally took 11.23 min, I clock it. So, the 11.23 min that he was on the phone I was charged 117.00? 117.00 dollars divided by 11.23 min = $10.41852181656278 per second The tech said he will be back with a quote, gave me the quote and I paid for the diagnostic fee total 315.00 (The tech gave me a courtesy credit of 31.50.). I am getting the service done on Friday with another provider who informed me switching out the part should take no less then 20 min and with a quote that was an 84.939759036145% SAVINGS than what atomic plumbing quote. I am highly disappointed with Atomic Plumbing both with the service and with the hidden fees.
