Really cool restaurant with super cool aesthetic! I had never been to one of these restaurants before and got to go for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by how cool it is! It was busy and can definitely get busy so the wait time was about 20 min but they text you when they are ready for you! Once seated we got immediately served with drinks and had plenty of time to look at the menu and got recommendations as well! I ordered the all American burger, and my boyfriend bought the estate burger. We also paired it with some onion rings and some drinks! Everything came out in maybe about less than 20 minutes and was cooked perfectly and so delicious! The burger was cooked exactly as I wanted and so juicy! My humans had not planned on going here but short on time after a day at the Mote Aquarium. Since they had been to the one in Cape Coral and loved it-popped in. Immediately seated and had a great waitress. Alex took care of us and she gets 5 stars!! My humans ordered a wide range of food. American standard Cheeseburger, Grilled Chicken sandwich, Honey Chipotle Chicken Bowl, and a crispy chicken sandwich. I of course got the American cheeseburger and green beans. (no salt, no seasoning). My humans all loved the food and a good portion for the price. Everyone tried the Chipotle Bowl and some said we are getting that next time!!! Music to my ears-that meant we would be coming back here!!!! Alex made some special tea's (papaya and pineapple flavored). That seemed above and beyond the normal drinks and the humans kept saying how delicious it was. The decor in the place is pretty cool. All Ford themed and some cool cars and car things. . Had such a wonderful experience going to the Ford's garage. We had one of the best waitresses that I've ever had. She was super nice attentive, explain the menu in detail. It was very patient with our large party. All of our meals came out perfectly cooked and they accommodated us from sitting outside to going inside because the bugs were out of control. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The inside decor is really cool and fun Ford memorabilia. Tried Ford's Garage last night while on vacation in Sarasota. We've eaten at one near Cincinnati before and remembered the burgers being really good -- and as a burger lover, I figured why not give it another shot. We grabbed seats at the bar, and Anna took great care of us. Super friendly, attentive, and honestly the highlight of the experience. I ordered the Estate Burger -- smoked Gouda, sweet onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, onion straws, and white bacon aïoli on a brioche bun, served with fries. When the burger came out, it looked solid at first glance... but the portion of fries was really small (definitely a "see before and after pics" situation). I asked Anna about it, and she handled it like a rock star -- got more fries out quickly and totally saved the meal. Still, for $17.99, I shouldn't have had to ask in the first place... you feel me? As for the burger itself, the flavor was good, but it didn't quite live up to the menu description. The toppings felt pretty light -- like a few pieces of arugula, a handful of onion straws -- not what you expect when you're paying that price for a specialty burger. Overall, mixed experience. As someone visiting from out of state, this mall is pretty amazing. It's crowded and loaded with nice restaurants. The wait time at some of these on a Friday night is crazy. Fortunately, Ford's Garage is a nice place where we had a shorter wait time. This is the 2nd Ford's Garage we've eaten at, the other was in Brandon. Both are nice, I like this one better. There were 9 of us at dinner and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Brisket Sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and a nice Old Fashioned. Food and cocktail was delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered takeout from Ford's Garage to eat poolside for lunch and didn't exactly love the meal but it was okay. I ordered a cheeseburger with cheese, lettuce, bacon and tomato. The burger was nicely cooked and the bacon was good. The lettuce was wilted and black and was fresh maybe a few weeks ago from the looks of it. That needed to be removed. The burger came with kettle chips that had a good flavor to them but came in generally a pulverized form that looked as though someone emptied the bottom of a bag of chips into the container. The chips were pretty bad. We had two orders of chicken tenders and fries that were the star of the order and were crispy and had some really nice flavor to them. Walking past the restaurant after few times on our stay it certainly seemed like thee were some nice crowds each time but our takeout order left a bit to be desired. read more

A big burger so I only ate half and took the other half home. Ribs were decent but I don't love BBQ food either, unless it's stellar. The ribs looked dry, I tried some and it was just ok. I noticed the steaks were pretty small and meh for the price point. Steaks and fries were all over seasoned and salty. I wish I took a picture of my daughter's steak where she literally had to scrub off the seasoning on her steak and it was not pretty. Ha. I decided to take my,out of town, dad and step mom to Fords Garage for the nostalgia. And let me tell you I ended with the sweet surprise. I ordered their chicken tenders. I know nothing fancy but they had to be some of the juiciest tenders I've had in a long time. I had mine tossed in Buffalo but i would have ate them plain and loved them. Definitely felt like I was in an old garage. The napkin rings are hose clamps, and the napkins are shop towels. The bathroom sinks are made from tires and gas nozzles. Definitely a fun environment. Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Yes! The Food: This is one place where I'm a bit of a creature of habit. I've found the perfect burger for me! It has bacon and a sunny side up egg on it, and it is to DIE FOR!!! It's one of the few things at any restaurant that I genuinely get a craving for! It's mouthwateringly delicious. I'm a burger connoisseur, and this burger checks all of the boxes for me! The blend of meat is perfect. This is the most important aspect to a good burger in my opinion, and they've nailed it. There is ample parking though, so once you get to the restaurant, you should be fine. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully! I love how it's themed, and it's something I think is lacking in a lot of places these days. In an age where everything had that "Modern" look, it's nice to see a place with some character! My only complaint OSs that it can get quite noisy in there. So it can be a bit hard to hear people at your table. This is something that most modern buildings suffer from though. But it doesn't take away from the overall experience too much. Just speak up a bit and sit next to your favorite person and you'll be fine! Went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with the family. I got the Lexington Kentucky beer, which is made in Bourbon barrels.; it was very good. My daughter and I split the Estate burger, we had cooked, medium. It was perfectly cooked, not pink, but not dry. It was very juicy and a bit messy with all its yummy toppings. My husband and son shared the ribs and they both enjoyed them thoroughly. I tried them as well and they were tender and juicy. We all had fries which were crispy, but could've been a little hotter. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive, especially considering the place was pretty packed. If anyone has ever been to a Ford garage, you know it's a very large restaurant with lots of cool car memorabilia and actual cars hanging from the ceiling. Ford's is such a laid-back, fun place. It's very busy during Christmas as the ice skating rink, and holiday movies are located right next to it. There is a great view of the fireworks, too. The food is always flavorful. We are there a couple times a month, and we love the bam bam shrimp, onion ring tower, and burgers. They offer many exciting burger combinations, and we have tried most of them! They offer a great selection of beers and specialty drinks. The auto theme of is over the top in the best way. The bathrooms have tires for sinks and a gas pump as a faucet. The turtle brownie sundae is also amazing. The brownie is warm and super chocolatey and perfect with the ice cream. My son-in-law and grandson also had the cheeseburger and loved their burgers as well. Burger was perfectly cooked medium rare and seasoned just right. This used the place for a burger. The High Octane burger with its jalapeños, chipotle ketchup, pepper jack cheese WAS hot and spicy. Like so many restaurants, after establishing a winner, they cut corners, increase the price and lose their most loyal customers. Now, it is a bland experience. Food was ehhh. We ordered a burnt ends melt with fries... it was just okay. I ordered a side of mac n cheese because this meal is being shared so a little something extra. It came out cold and just very bland and boring. We don't like to complain or like to send food back but at the end of the night when the waiter (from the bar) came to check on us he asked "did you not like the mac n cheese?" because it was hardly touched I assume. I said was oh it was cold... He didn't reply back and we were actually thinking oh man he might go take that off of our ticket which would be great. He didn't .. Anyways. We're fans of Ford's Garage and this was our first visit to the Sarasota location. We like the consistency of the experience and food and this visit was no different. We started with the pretzel appetizer and couldn't decide which dipping sauce we liked better! My husband had the Black n Bleu Burger (one of his favorites). It was cooked perfectly with big pieces of bacon to add to the flavor. I went with something different with the Roadster Burger. As a smaller burger patty size, it was actually the perfect amount for lunch. The flavor was good as well. On a Friday afternoon, I shared a Chop Chop Salad with a friend and it was the perfect sized lunch! (Her husband had a full serving). Waitlist online is not accurate with their times, so make sure to get an accurate wait time of hostess once you check-in. The front hostesses were 4 and two them need to be retrained in customer service. They are enjoying themselves in their huddle, while doing nothing to expedite seating guests. They tell guests an hour to an hour half wait, and tables are open. Even with management walking around with tablet, the tables are quickly bussed and sit there open. The seating process is definitely in need of improvement. Feel bad for servers could be making twice as much if the hostesses would stop turning guests away with exaggerated wait times when tables are empty in the dining room. Still the best fresh chicken tenders and tots in the area. Wine and beer selection is okay too. read more
